- In the Division story, we’re introduced to the Quarantine Zones as an initiative put forward by the government as a way to stop the spread of the virus.
In New York, the whole of Manhattan was shut down and walled off as a place to hold the sick, and get them the help they needed.
However, once the virus landed in Washington DC, things were handled a little differently….

That’s what makes the story so good, it doesn’t interfere with gameplay making them separate
I think that’s the beauty of it instead of them telling you
You have to find it yourself as if your literally going through a ruined city finding out what happened there
@@mrdooce7053 definitely. Cruising through the ravaged city discovering these audio logs leaves an imprint on you and makes that spot a little special knowing what happened there

Has anyone else noticed that if you equip a pistol flash light in the division 2, it'll flicker and go out if you try and use it in the dark zone?

I like how the storyline of the DZ shows very impressively what we have also seen irl with the corona Virus Pandemic: The Pandemic wasn't even the real killer / problem maker, more so than the stup and irradical actions taken by people.

Fascinating lore. I absolutely love the world storytelling you get just from exploring the map. The developers did a fantastic job creating this world. I really enjoy discovering comms and putting the story together piece by piece. It feels so authentic to me. Keep up the great work.

The info is all there, both in game and online. The hard part is piecing it together!

Fun fact: The Dark Zone’s formal name is actually the demilitarized zone, and the name Dark Zone is a mere colloquialism.
Edit: at first it was the decontamination zone, *then* the demilitarized zone

makes no sense, DZ is the most contaminated area with the most weapons. And the abbreviation for demilitarized zone is usually DMZ.

Ive been watching all the division 1 and 2 lore videos because I recently finished division 1 and I want to get completely immersed in the world of the division 2 when I get it. These videos really are good at getting me immersed in the world

I just feel its a little pointless with the way that RNG works right now. I could recommend you grab a particular piece, and you would have a 0.007% chance of finding it. This is one of the things they'll be addressing with the next ETF.

I would probably be one of the crazy bastards who would venture into these areas a lot to get supplies so I can give it others just trying to survive. Probably go into these areas at night, making sure to stay out of sight and be as quiet as possible.

Presumably so, though the former are likely very different depending on the city. The latter is obviously going to be different.

Massive needs to hire you to do in-game briefings. Something like, once you collect all comms for a category, there's a video/cutscene giving a full debriefing on the info in that category. Narrated by you. That'd be some kickass, in-game lore.

They should do a side a mission where you actually find where Shay Montgomery is hiding and use her intel gathered to find more info around DC that isn’t included in the already given side missions. And by the way that commercial for the DC-62 is hilarious LMAO
I actually followed her story in hopes that I'd find her, hidden somewhere.....but its tough considering we don't really know what she looks like...
NGN And each voice memo you find of hers it’s like we get closer. I do hope they make it where we can find her somewhere in DC and or have it where she’s related to someone that is in one of the settlements that would want you to search for her. The only way they can show how she looks if they decide to do some more updates on side missions, we still don’t know how April Keller look It would be cool if her and Shay crossed paths in a way.

I sometimes wandered the DZ just looking at the areas. Seeing the tradgedy in the environment and seeing how and WHY rouges went rouge. Betrayal. The duty they tried to complete but failed to because the current president was trying HALF MESEAURES

Speaking of Tranh, I found his hanging corpse when I walked through the doors into the Dark Zone.
DC-62 was mentioned as a yellow powder, and obviously as a chemical, what chemical do we know that also has a yellow powder when left long enough, Smoke from Rainbow Six Siege has something similar to this, and for the yellow powder: the last situation in the cutscene shows the gas leaving a yellow powder. Its just a theory but what if the gas inside smokes canister is DC-62.

If people can sell pirated DVDs on ebay and they look professional - then you should be able to make a DVD with label and case and make a profit.

probably the best time to ask this so, NGN if you were to see one change to division 2 what would it be?
Just one? Thats tough...
PvP would require more than one change to fix, so I'll leave that one for now.
It would be a toss up between the RNG and the build diversity. But these are in a way, the same issue.
I'd like to see more in the way of class/team role builds. In TD1 I didn't have enough loadouts for the number of builds I had. In TD2, there really isn't too much that can beat a pure DPS build...in pretty much every situation.
I am all for having to grind for the piece of gear that you need, and hated when they made it too easy in TD1. But the chances of you getting the gear you want in TD2 is so low, its pretty much removed the grind. I want that feeling of being rewarded when I finally get the piece I want. Rather than just settling for something that is kinda close.
