I’m So Glad You’re All SAFE, JOSE. TAKE GREAT CARE! Thanks For Reassuring Us. Have a Great Weekend.💙
Thank you! You too!
@@JoseArteagaTravels My nephew in law is there living in Merida and he said the same thing. What hurricane he told us? LOL!
You were on the left side of eye. Not the dirty side, plus all the jungle/land to decrease the water and tidal surge. Very thankful for that. We live on Texas gulf coast. Good luck amigo. Next week should be kinda' wet for us. (We need the water, just not a 3+ cat)
Yes, we do
Glad you didn't get flooded Jose! Thanks for going out to film!! See ya soon!!
You and me both! Very glad is was more of a non event than anything else!
Glad you are safe Jose! Im in Playa del Carmen and we had it pretty hard when it landed at 5am. for two hours it was CRAZY winds, and rain, I thought the doors were going to break. Made it through safe and sound . Thank God. There was alot of damage to trees and some glass in the. neightbourhood. So we did get it harder and buffered it for you :) Stay awesome and thank you for the hurricane updates and info! It really helped me prepare! Peace
Yes i saw that you guys got hit hard out there. So happy to hear you guys are all safe and it was just some structural damage. Thanks for checking in and thanks for softening up the hurricane for us and minimizing the blow! Thanks for sharing!
Not bad in Playa. 70% open Fri afternoon on 5av.
I'm going to be there August 6th... how bad is it??😮
@@williamshaw8106
Tropical storm damage. Broken tree limbs, some cheap signs down. Walmart was open 5 hour later, and by 5 pm, 5av was packed. 70% of restaurants and store already open, selling booze.
Glad you guys are making through it well, and it was fortunate to have not have been worst.
I totally agree. Thanks for sharing!
I live by Macro Plaza. About 2:30 to 3:30, I took my motorcycle and rode over by Fiesta Plaza and up to Alta Briesa Mall and back around in that area. It was great. There was maybe 10 cars. There was a light rain and some wind, but nothing major. We had a thunder storm on Sunday June 23rd that had heavy rain and wind all day long. It was 2 or 3 times as bad as this.
I lived in Orlando Florida for over 30 years. That taught me that the weather people do everything possible to build up how bad hurricanes are, so that you will watch their television station and they can get more viewers.
Hurricanes always come from the southeastly direction. Merida is at least 200 mi or so from Cancun. Anytime a hurricane has to go over that much land, by the time it gets to Merida it likely will not be a particularly big storm. The thing to always remember is that the hurricane comes as bands of wind and rain interfaced with calmer breezes. This means the rain won't be a continual all day kind of rain and storm.
Awesome! Thanks for the update and sharing those tips! You are spot on! They cry wolf so many times that eventually the people stop caring and then that is when they get caught with their pants down. Nature sure is unpredictable! Thank you again for your update and sharing with us!
Thank you Jose, a walk in talk in the rain is nice.
Yes it is always very nice. Glad you enjoyed the short walk around the neighborhood
Gracias- carbón !! Desde McAllen,Texas - acá llega el domingo
Suerte con la tormenta! Rezamos que sea igual que aqui!
So glad you and yours are ok! Stay safe!❤
Muchas Gracias! Me too!
I am glad that you are safe. Keep posting more videos!!
Muchas Gracias! Will do!
I’m happy to hear you and your significant other are fine and enjoying your day.
Also thanks for the update.
Muchas gracias! Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad your safe
Thank you!
Yepp we experienced the same conditions in Trinidad... felt like a holiday with nice cool weather. Minor flooding but was overall cool and calm. Thanks for sharing!!
Awesome! Thank you for letting us know how things were out there! Much appreciated!
Gracias Jose!
You're very welcome!
This guy is so cavalier. He should be thankful that the storm weakened by then instead of treating warnings as fake news.
Thank you for the kind words! I totally agree I am glad the storm weakened it made it much easier for me to record the video outside! Thanks for sharing!
I am so glad that you and your wife and horse are ok!! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
But, there was truly devastation in the Caribbean Islands on Beryl's path before Merida. It looked awful.
Thank God, you are all safe this time 🙏
Correct it was really bad out there but on the islands but nothing out of the ordinary for this kind of storm. By the time it got to the Yucatan the Cancun Playa del Carmen area took the brunt of the hit and by the time it got to Merida it was just what you saw in the video. Glad it didnt make it all the way out here! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the hurricane update! Woohoo its gone! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Yucatan is safe! Yay happy dance! 🤗🤗🤗🤗great job!
Yes! Thank you! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the update. I appreciate all your work. Stay safe.
Muchas Gracias! Glad it was helpful!
I'm glad you guys are OK, José. Hurricanes can be scary/dangerous (as a Florida native I don't need to tell you that) nice update!
You already know it! So happy that it was a nothing burger and we dodged a bullet out here
Glad it was no big deal and you're good! Thanks for the update.
Same here! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the update Jose. 👍🏾
No problem 👍 Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank U, Jose, for always keeping it real:) btw I made it to La Paz and I love it! Left Cali and US for good. Viva Mexico.
That is awesome! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for update Jose
Any time! Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the update!! Happy all is well!!
Thank you! Glad all we got was some light rain and a few wind gusts! We dodged a bullet there!
@@JoseArteagaTravels 🥳
Thanks for the update Jose!
No Problem! Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the updates José!
My pleasure!
Hello José. I am glad you Are doung well briother. Saludos desde Guadalajara
Muchas Gracias!
THANK YOU JOSE YOU ARE THE BEST BLESSINGS 🙏🍺
Your welcome! Glad it was helpful!
You guys are on the outside edge of it
That's right we went from a direct hit, to no hit in a few hours. Very glad that we dodged this bullet. Thanks for sharing
Glad you're safe man! As someone from LA I could not survive a hurricane. If it starts to sprinkle I'm unsure of what to do 😂
Jaja yeah i know. Never any rain out there. But today was nothing we have seen much much worse in recent weeks. We truly dodged a bullet with this one. Thanks for sharing
Stay safe guys! 🎉
Thanks! Will do!
Saludos Mr. Jose. Nos pego buena suerte. Gracias a dios. Ahora celebrar!
Asi es! A Celebrar!
I was wondering how those of you in Merida were fairing.! Thanks for the update! Glad you are safe!
Glad the update was helpful!
You da man Jose❤
Muchas Gracias!
Thanks!
You're very welcome! Happy to inform you guys! Glad it was helpful!
@@JoseArteagaTravels it was. And yes, we miss you riding around. Be well.
We need more street walks Jose :)) I miss them lot . Also this old food markets .
Jaja you're right I need to get back out there on the streets!
@@JoseArteagaTravels I hope you get it :)) it was fun to see you and your woman go on market ;)
Reminds me of the supposed hurricane we had in Southern California
Interesting. Thanks for sharing
Ill take the hurricane special!!
Jaja same here!
Glad everyone there is doing okay and it's wasn't bad in that area, the reason is the storm went east of you and you're on the west side which is the weakest and driest side of any hurricane.
Thanks for sharing!
It looks as if you aren't in the northeast quadrant of the storm, which is where the bad weather is.
Correct. So happy it missed us and we didn't have any issues to deal with out here in Merida
Mérida tuvo mucha suerte en esta ocasión
Si asi es. Gracias a dios
Looks like Arizona during the monsoon season.
Jaja yeah it actually felt more like a nice Seattle spring day yesterday. Very nice and cool. Perfect day to just sit back and do nothing
Oh wow! Be careful in that stuff!
Thank you! Will do!
Would to love to see you give a report from Hurricane Karina.
I actually did report on it. That was me next to Kanye when he said that Bush didn't like black people 😅
thanks glad your safe and thanks for talking the truth
Thank you! I appreciate that
Thank you for the update, Jose.
Any time! Glad it was helpful!
Dude, When it came by you it was already down to just a tropical storm ,that is why it's not a big deal . Consider yourselves lucky it could have been a 5 that hit you .
Correct I am in total agreement. That is what I have been saying all week and on my livestream. But there are many people in the audience who have never been through any of this and most people were very concerned. That is why I made this video to show people what it actually looks like to help them put their minds at ease. All things considered this was a weaker storm than anticipated as we have all seen much more damage from other storms in the past. Thanks for sharing
Oh shit Jose, you supposed to have your hair flying wildly in the unbelievable hurricane winds along with the flood waters above your waist and the expression of disaster! Oh shit, I forgot your reporting the hurricane with honesty from Merida. Thanks!
Jaja all good out here in Merida. Nothing to worry about 😅
This is nothing like how Puerto Vallarta had their flooding months back.
Yup even here the flooding a few weeks ago was insane! Thank goodness this was all just a false alarm
That storm looks really weak tonight.
Thank goodness!
Great update Jose, you guys stay safe!
Glad it was helpful!
Esta lloviendo!
Si! Y me estoy Mojando!
Thanks Jose for the video now I know my family is safe sometimes to get them on the phone is deficil but by seeing this I know there all ok
No Worries! Glad it was helpful! I also made it so that people back home could see I was safe! Glad you were able to use it for the same reason! Thanks for sharing!
standard rain no flooding
Correct nothing to write home about 😅
Bruh 🌀
😎
Not so bad after all
Exactly nothing at all. Thank goodness it was just some light rains and cool breezes
Please ask folks join your channel.
Ok! I will Thanks!
I rescheduled my trip to Merida to renew my residency until the 15th instead of arriving on the 8th because I heard INM would be closed Monday and possibly Tuesday. I'm glad I did because they will probably be backed up with people that missed their appts this week...I just hope all is back to normal and I can get my renewal done...so stressed until then.🇲🇽💃
Good luck with everything! Thanks for sharing!
You are such a hard worker. Hope you have a car now. Good Luck for future. Wish you could do Real Estate.!
Thank you! I do have a truck! It's perfect for when it floods!
I tried to tell them it will not come. I was there during the cane.
I was also confident it would not come, but I have dealt with this kind of thing before, and just as quickly as it can dissipate it can turn into a Cat 4. So I took all normal precautions I would take for any major hurricane heading my way. I thought it was wise to get ready anyways since it was such a strong storm so early in the season. Even though I knew this storm might not be much of anything, it is still a long season with many more storms to come. Also it is a great opportunity to clean up and go through an practice run so we know we will be ready for anything. Thanks for sharing!
Hey JOSE. Thanks & Muchas Gracias 4 replying/Answering my Question ref..Any Drug & Gang Violence there in Merida.
No worries! Glad it was helpful!
pasó como tormenta, todavía te falta vivir un verdadero huracán. Tuvimos suerte
Asi es! Gracias a dios no paso nada y los pudimos quedarnos en casa comiendo globitos jaja! Saludos y Gracias en compartir!

So absolutely glad yours was nowhere near what ORIS was for me here in Acapulco.
Ill post a couple vids. In the comments if it lets me. So glad yours was mild it was total destruction here & ALL stores were looted no gas no nothing here for hrs away. Still finishing remodeling the house will talk soon my broths, sorry for the delay & not being around lately.
But life been absolutely busy 1st was getting settled in been a year now bought the house was in the middle of remodel til OTIS happened & destroyed the initial remodel after purchase.
& still wrapping that up now.
Now trying to figure out a hustle for income since all my $$ literally went to the house.
Open to your thoughts
Hit me up my dude i wanna talk to you.
On some real shit though.
Peace, Love, Freedom, Anarchy.
Yes I agree that was a really bad one that destroyed Acapulco. So happy nothing happened out here. Thoughts and Prayers. Thanks for sharing
Nada nada🎉🎉😂😂❤
😎
Beryl was a complete joke in Merida. We prepared for a catastrophic event and barely got wet but I'm not complaining....
Amen to that! Wish all storms would be more like Beryl! Thanks for sharing!
Cant share in comments apparently. Oh well. If anyone has any ideas how i can share let me know.
Share what?
@@JoseArteagaTravels videos of the aftermath of the destruction we endured here.
From Miami you know it😂
Ya tu sabes 😅
Thanks for the video. What neighborhood is this?
I am near El Centro
Hey JOSE. any Problems There in Merida Con DRUGS & GANGS, VIOLENCE???
Not that I know of. Merida is the Safest City in Mexico and 2nd Safest in ALL of the Americas
Hey what about the merida airport I'd love to see where I'll be getting off the plane
I'm sure the whole city looks the same 😅
what exactly you need to see about the airport, just google it, its a pretty standard airport, newly refurbished with new arrival and departure hall real nice.
@mediascapes2011 I was kinda thinking about the layout and the drive I didn't know google would show everything I've never been on a plane so I'm new at it all
@mediascapes2011 I appreciate all of your time and videos me and my wife watch them to see where her family lives and what there up to we like the details you give and everything
@@JoseArteagaTravels yeah well whatever you want to do
...You also said we're entering into "el niño" year. It is backwards. We're entering into "la niña", and it is not "year. It changes within the year and may lag few years. Take some time to research before you exhibit yourself publicly. And... you were prepping for a small tropical storm? All the models forecasted it way before you got it.
Thank you so much for the clarification! Yes you are right I got El Niño and La Niña mixed up, but hey as long as people understood what I was trying to say that is all that matters! Thanks for sharing!
Thats a light sprinkle, 😂
You already know it. Christian was actually off screen sprinkling me with the waterhose to add some special effects and make it actually look like something was happening 💦😅
