    MX Tech makes some of the best suspension components on the planet, their fork cartridge upgrades are excellent and transform your suspension to a whole nother level.

    Thanks for this comparison video Jeff but you and I both know there is no comparison. After revalving my stock shock more than once and yes it was a little better in the low speed stuff I tried the National ( thanks to Alec) with your Mule valving. My bike has a very long list of upgrades and improvements but the single biggest and best one was the National Shock I bought from you. IMO you really can't get there without it especially on the PDS bike. One more reason why I say "Thanks Jeff" for making our sport a better place.

      @@slaverace1 Plan on being around Mancos in June. Hope to have your Lucky and National on my 2022 KTM500 EXC-F before then. Glad I found all this before investing on Gold valve setup, although I know they are great also, this is a much cleaner approach IMO.

    I have definitely decided on the Lucky cartidges for my 2022 KTM 500 EXCF, but my greatest challenge are simple washboards on the dirt roads I ride between trails. At 63, my lower back ain't what it used to be. If I do not stand the entire time, my back takes a pounding on washboards. I am wondering if the National shock in the rear might help this, or just a simple re-valving of my stock WP?

    The real comparison would be the national vs xplor pro supertrax shock, could you do that as well?

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  7 місяців тому

      Hello:
      We've tested the Xplor Pro because it is available for us to sell, but we try to sell the best of the best. It is a good shock but the set-up is aimed at pro riders and that makes it too stiff for most off-road riders and applications.

    Hi Jeff. All of my riding buddies tell me I need to ditch my 350 EXC-F PDS bike for a linkage model. I have started riding an area in Florida that is a lot of sand whoops and really struggle to keep up. I also do some dual sport stuff. I hear what you said in your video, but I'm struggling with the idea of dropping $4k on suspension vs. getting a linkage bike. Any other wisdom you could offer?

      Hello Jtugger:
      Sand whoops are challenging. Requires a definite skill set of riding hard on the gas and light on the brakes. Bikes that work well in whoops must have stiff suspension that is not good for rooty, rocky trails. Personally, I hate whoops and would find a new area to ride but if whoops are the main attraction, get a linkage bike.

    The Pds National shock does not use a SKF piston, it uses composite free piston that has a flexible surface with a rigid aluminum case.

      Hello:
      My National shocks do have SKF/Inntech reservoir pistons with a mildly flexible membrane.

      @@slaverace1 1 pound is pretty good on a dirt bike, in my experience A kit usually is a little heavier
