I work for FabricShield in Pennsylvania. Chandler's videos are indispensable for the growth of the company. I have refined our techniques (especially for fine fabrics) based on the content of his videos. Thank you so much.
Same happened with me, what have you done to get it fixed?
Love your work, very detailed and professional 👍🏾
Nice work Chandler. You are a true professional
Thank you very much for that compliment.
My husband buy a sofa for $60 and we love it, looks like is chesterfield sofa gold corduroy, we didn't have idea has some value, is really heavy. What product I can use to clean it without destroy the fabric. Thank for share you video, is really helpful you have a lot of patience.
Good question. Buy white microfiber towels and distilled water. As far as a cleaner, it needs to be a neutral ph or you can use very small amount of dish detergent( less is more ). 1-2 drops per gallon would be ok. You’ll probably remove most of the soil with the distilled water and microfiber towels
Sorry to ask but what did you use for the shampoo / pre spray and what did you use for the rinse? I have x2 velvet chairs booked just curious what is best for pre spray and rinse and if water is sufficient for some velvet jobs after a good pre spray
I just bought a mostly cotton velvet sofa (haven't received it yet) and they recommend vacuuming weekly at least, flipping cushions, dry cleaning if necessary. I'm afraid!!! I have little room for a vacuum and wonder if you can recommend a canister vacuum (or upright if necessary but lightweight) with a good brush attachment for the sofa. I'm so worried I won't be able to take care of it but I had a leather sofa for 15 years and I want something different.... I have a Bissell dustbuster and a decades old Sharp canister that needs to go (the latter) - anything easy to use that has the right kind of attachment for velvet sofa would be of great help-the internet is making me crazy!

Great work 💯 can i ask which pump up sprayer is that? It seemed like a nice controlled mist vs the one i have
Great work as always! Why the distilled water before the shampoo? Is the shampoo neat?
It reduces the possibility of water stains
Great video. What did you spray after vacuum? Is it still water or Distilled water. Thanks
Distilled water
hello chandler, at the minute 12 las process are you using a brass brush to comb the chair? really good video. thanks in advance.
Brass, nylon, and hoarse hair
Great job Chandler 👏 Thanks for sharing this 😀
Where did you buy the spray bottle that had the distilled water in it? I like the way it sprays.
Don’t know how I missed this but I got it from Amazon
Hi! Do you have any advice on how to get a water stain out of a mohair sofa?
Do you have any experience with dealing with water stains?
@@Ccsx24 no this would be my first time
@@desiwhite92 ok so removing a water stain can be more about technique than what chemical to use. I obviously can’t teach you all that I know about dealing with water stains on a natural fiber through UA-cam. With that being said you want to try the safest treatments that won’t create more issues. You can try distilled water or an acid(ph of 3-2.5)chemical to reduce the ph of the water stain.
I did a velvet couch awhile ago, I tried to use the TM but left lines, it dried that way and the customer was not happy with it. Is there a way to get the lines out after they dried? We went back to correct it, but they seemed almost impossible to blend
Yes it can be very difficult. It is possible but takes a lot of patience working small areas at a time.
Awesome video!!!!
Thx
Did you use any chemical in the truck mount when extracting the velvet?
Yes I used an acid rinse
@@Ccsx24 Thank you for the reply. I had the opportunity to clean a velvet sofa, but I ended up turning down the job after doing more research. I may consider learning more about cleaning velvet in the future, but I just didn't want to risk damaging it as I have too little experience and knowledge of how to do it properly right now.
@@vanquishfist wise decision.
i washed a velvet sofa and after dry it becomes rough. How can i get back smothness?
