- These are some Doordash and uber eats tips and tricks to make more money as a self employed food delivery driver for apps like doordash dasher, uber eats driver, and other apps like grubhub instacart and more. whether it's for extra money or a full time job, these tips will help you earn more. This is doordash tips for beginners, intermediate, and advanced drivers.
I was so confused when you showed where you first started Door Dashing. I was like "that can't be here is it?" I live about 30 mins north of Mayfaire and was thinking of doing the same. Thanks for the tips!!!
He started off well. But being too picky proved he lost out on too many okay orders that could’ve added up instead of wasting time waiting for the big ones. I’m not in a big city so AR is important for me. Even on gray times I don’t have to schedule anything and just skip everyone and get in with orders coming my way. He didn’t accept so many that it cost him time and his hourly went down to well below $17/hr based on what he showed. And then locked out due to either bad scheduling or dead orders cuz again you’re not getting those big orders as often as you think with a low AR.
Right? Plus some of those weak orders can be disguised with a really good tip (obviously this depends on what and from where you're picking up, but try not to expect it, especially now). Sometimes they will put you back in the area you want to be back in without having "dead miles". So, they're not ALL worthless.
My market is kind of weak, so I can't afford to pass up a dozen OK fares waiting for that magical 2.00+/mile--I have to keep my threshold at $1/mi. Sometimes, it ends up working out regardless because some of those mediocre trips can be super quick and land you in a strategic position.
Personally, I just don't want a million low fares I have to cross out that'll make my AR drop further, so I feel it's important to balance the low fares alongside the good ones, that way the good ones always pop up without having to wait long. You get the high orders hitting you right away. One day of high fare hunting and another day of taking everything that pops up. 50% AR or better
This is why I mainly use uber eats. For me to get to 70 percent I would have to do 5 dollars for 10 miles all day. I won't do that.
Not idling while waiting for offers is a great start to not wasting gas 👍
Great tips! Thank you man! ❤
Found your channel months back when you was in Boston!! Looking are you accepting rate I was like holy shit but I see you do different apps so works for you. Been dashing for almost a year and just getting the hang of it. Also I think DoorDash should have a miles range where you can’t order from. If you driving 14 miles for 10 bucks that is nuts… keep up the videos 🙌🙌
I thought this was the Boston guy. Didn't know he moved to AZ
Do you ever take the low deal because it’s heading back to home? Sometimes I’ll take anything sent so long as it’s heading home because I’d rather get some compensation to make my way home rather than none.
I do this but also, if I need to run an errand, I will take a deal that's going in the same direction. Once I do the delivery I pause orders, do my errand, unpause and hopefully get another order that takes me back home.
Lol i tried today to Uber at Henderson area here in Nevada.....the orders are pouring but geeezzzz the pay is wayyyy baddd...$8 for 11 mi...$17 for 14mi so on and so forth....im just gonna stick in my area lol
I've been doing DD for about a month now and see a huge difference when my acceptance rate goes below 50%. As soon as I raise it I get much better orders.
Good advice. Id say check the customer app instead of maps for open restaurants.
you made top trashers sad😢
I honestly never even thought about driving to another city. I would never drive 45 minutes though. I'm in California and Stockton is always popping off on the map. I might have to drive 20 minutes to get more orders.
Good tips 😮
Best advice. Go durin peak time. Think of it as a waiter job. There’s slow times then there’s hell time.
Also keep the city into mind when driving around for money.
👍
i try to stick to the $1/mi minimum standard but it can be pretty hard in my area. DD penalizes the more you refuse. Worst is taking orders that take you out of your zone then you end up dead heading back to that zone when you are done. I wish DD would let you refuse those penalty free or make sure the pay rate accounts for that return. I like how UBER lets me pick up orders anywhere but they seem to have the lowest pay rates. On occasion i get a really good tip to make up for it but you dont know for like an hour later.
I believe most of the screenshots he presented in the video are from Uber Food delivery, not Doordash's. Is that correct?
Do you ever worry about your rating from declining ?
wooo!
In my area, DD does not let customers adding tips before the delivery which means there are always no tip orders you are assigned, payment is enough for gas if customers won’t tip while we drive our own cars and pay all the costs, DD is trsh in my area with its trsh
What’s the lowest dollars per mile would you take in Arizona?
In Phoenix area $2 per mile.
Hey hey New Dasher here oh & subbie.. ok so 3:11 i do get orders within orders for dd...but if its close by my 1st order🤗
Looking at the 38hr vid & I see what you're saying 🤗
how do i know the hot spot of wating in my city
should I park in zone or keep driving around for uber eats? im located in los angeles
park
Welcome to Arizona
People that take all orders and only do it part time are hurting all order prices. I met a guy with 100 percent acceptance, he dont care taking 5 dollars for 10 miles all day
what is the general cost of gas like compared to your earning-like? 25%? 30%? 40%?
about 20% if you go all day
Ubereats lowered their basepay low-balling their drivers. Let them suffer undelivered orders!
I love your channel and all your tips and positive energy. Random question here, I recently got a message from UberEats that my customer did not receive the order. I can’t imagine what happened and don’t have a clue why. Also, have gotten some thumbs down from customers lately, making my percentage go down. Again, I’m not sure why. It would just be helpful, so I know how and what I need to improve on. Anyone else ever had this problem?
Do u take pictures when dropping off food???

programmed a software for me that generates high paying orders with great tips. I have been using it for a long time and it is amazing.
Jesus loves you❤
With that acceptance you won’t get any large order. I guess you’re not part of the lop and I see why. 😂
Entertaining content though ✌🏻
you still think acceptance rate means something? lol, had 100% acceptance and got garbage orders, now im at 20% acceptance and i still get good money/orders
I did 3.30 hours 11 orders only got tipped $2 is this normal? First day
@@crashdnc1585 the tip for all 11 orders was 2$?? if this is true then why are you even accepting those
@crashdnc1585 yep its normal lol. Decline more orders.
I'm not listening to a homeless guy.
