A beautiful morning for a visit up and through the very impressive pinnacles above Anglers crag, high above the southern shores of Ennerdale.
Crag Fell is a hill in the Lake District. It is part of the Lank Rigg group, standing above Ennerdale Water in the Western Fells. The craggy northern face above the lake gives the fell its name, prominent in views from the car park at Bowness Knott. Ascents are commonly made from the foot of Ennerdale Water.
Grike is a hill in the western Lake District, near Ennerdale Water. It is part of the Lank Rigg group, the most westerly Wainwright as the fells diminish toward the coastal plain.

Another good day Andy. A fine view of Ennerdale Water. Impressive pinnacles like 👍
Aye Kev it's a beautiful Valley probably the closest you'll get in't Lakes to some of them big beautiful Scottish Glens... The Pinnacles are very interesting just sticking out the side of a big grassy Hill very unusual... Thanks for watching Kev

Oh what a Midge Fest by Ennerdale!! Thanks for posting as doing the walk tomoz. Don't think the weather will be as favourable....wind and rain, so this has really been useful to watch. Cute doggy btw and great action cam and drone footage really appreciated.
Thanks very much for watching and the lovely feedback Chris aye forcast isn't great but improving in the afternoon (todays been worse) it's a great walk enjoy buddy

Those panicles are amazing (kinda like a mini old man of stor on Skye) what a cracking route again Andy 🤠👍
And some super weather for it (blue sky and blue lakes)
Loved seeing Billy wash his paws 🤩
Enjoyed Best Wishes Simon 🤠👍🏔️
Thanks as always Simon... What a morning eh 😊 we would have spent longer down by the Lake but the dreaded Midge seen us off the Pinnacles are definitely worth a look... (Top tip) do them at Sunset perfect views West with the Sun setting over the Solway thanks again Mate
ATVB Andy 😊 👍🏻
@@RockStar67 thanks for the tip 👍🤠
Stunning place
ATB 🙏🏼
Well Andy the weather was gorgeous 🌞Ennerdale Water was like glass, but when there's no wind & them little blighters are gathering in little swarms then it makes for a 'get away asap' 😅 if ever they start biting like those bloody things in Scotland then we are in for a time & a half!!!!! 🤨 The pinnacles are certainly terrific in their own right & the use of the drone helped capture some excellent shots as well as the views down th valley. Poor Billy Bob 🐶🐕 looked a bit bedraggled until he had a good wash in that stream 😊 tell you what he vault thst fence like an Olympic athlete ❤ Beautiful valley Ennerdale & this was another great walk with ya & of course the star that is The Rockstar 🐕🐶 keep on keeping on Andy with the terrific content on the channel 👍 😊
Thanks for watching David as always very much appreciated Ennerdale is a lovely valley especially further down the valley towards the big Hills...i feel another trip coming up in'amang the Shamrock Traverse and Pillar Rock...haha Billy's great on them fences in't he jumping can be really handy as he's heavy to lift....thanks for the feedback David I'm currently editing two great walks one finished and ready to post and one in progress.

@@RockStar67 cheers for the terrific reply Andy & bring on the next vlog 😀 👍
Spectacular route. It was clagged in when I went. The music is like Marmite I’m afraid. Great footage amongst the best amongst mountain bloggers.
Thanks for the feedback Pete regarding the Music I film a lot in POV with many landscapes and walk backs I also love Music and think especially Drone shots definitely need it.. lol too much talking about unrelated stuff other than the walk that's the Marmite for me 😂
Regarding the walk I prefer a short version of this one excluding Grike drop down that ridge from Crag Fell back to Ben Gill then back to the car with the Sun setting over the Solway from them Pinnacles it's the perfect short walk at Sunset.
Thanks as always for watching.
ATB Andy 😊 👍🏻
Plenty midges there Andy, hope they weren't biting to bad 😮.
I haven't been round to Ennerdale since before Covid, it's high on the list of spots to go as soon as I'm driving again 🤔
Cracking drone footage, another great video.
ATB Alistair 👍
Hope you get back driving soon Alistair... Yeah the Midge was really bad but thankfully not biters...thanks for watching Marra stay well stay safe
ATVB Andy 😊 👍🏻
Great walk Bcs xx you might have to take me on this one xx
Absolutely BCs a nice walk later in't day at Sunset xxx
@@RockStar67 ❤️
I hope the Lakes don’t get the midges like they do in Scotland ..eeeck …and I had to google the Hump classification 😂🤣….glad Billy found a nice little ghyll to clean up ❤
Lol I'm glad he found that clean watter to as he was stinking 😂😂...the Midge exceptionality bad but once up a few meters from the edge it was fine had that been Scotland on a morning like this that Midge would have been a thousand times worse....thanks for watching Neal as always very much appreciated

Hey Andy, what a beautiful day to be walking in the Lakes, loved the walk around Ennerdale Water, looked like it was quite early and all to yourself. I haven't been to that part so great to see another unknown walk for me. Shows again that you can still get some great views from smaller fells. I think it is a shame they chopped down all the forest and left it like that, do you know if they are going to regenerate that area at all or just leave it. Wonderful video and drone footage as always mate. Take care
Thanks as always Steve it sure was a beautiful day a nice quiet early start about 7am down at the Lake good for the Drone with less wind always in the morning....Ennerdale has dramatically changed in't last few years all the Larch has been removed because of disease but yeah mate there massively regenerating with native trees the gaps left have opened up some interesting views but im sure things will recover down there eventually....thanks for watching always appreciated
