    Hi Banya, Doctor here.
I like how you've made a point about gut health and what your skin needs - how you want to see particular results and that's completely fine. It shows how you make decisions based on your skin, not because of a certain skincare trend.💓
I remember watching your older Tretinoin videos where you mentioned that you got Tretinoin without a doctor's prescription, which is absolutely incorrect. Tretinoin has multiple benefits but in the end, it is a prescription-based drug - the reason being the side effects not only include dryness but it is teratogenic (which means this drug can disrupt the growth/development of a fetus when used by pregnant women or women trying to conceive). I have seen multiple young patients come to the emergency department with horrible skin side effects after using tretinoin, when we ask them for a prescription, they often mention how they saw people recommending it on social media and decided to give it a go. I hope we have stricter rules when it comes to prescription-based drugs and social media because everyone nowadays has been recommending pharmacy products online and this behavior is doing more harm than good. 🌟

The skin care advice to just use toner is not good. Tretenoin is not just to give glow. It is a multi faceted treatment for skin. To avoid irritation it can be layered on top of a thick moisturiser. For younger skin minimal skin care is okay but for mature skin tretenoin can do wonders. It gives baby skin and helps for cell turnover. Korean skin care is normally useful when you use multi step skin care products with layering them. So after toner some kind of emulsion, serum, cream with same ingredients gives the better results. Also vitamin c is great for face inside out so as retinol. To be very clear tretenoin contains retinol, so any good product containing retinol example even Ordinary retinol serum and then going higher up in percentage as skin gets tolerance is a better idea than not to include retinol in skin care routine at all. After all it is the only scientifically proven ingredient for skin rather than so many skin to skin discoveries.

      @BanyaBiswas  Місяць тому +1

I don't have matured skin yet. And what I share here is my personal experience. And clearly in the beginning, I mentioned, I might change my opinion later as skincare is subjective and it changes with skin accordingly.
Ig you haven't watched any of my tret videos. So please don't judge watching only one video. I have a dedicated Playlist on my skincare routine. You can actually see how my skincare routine has been changed over the past months.
Anyway I haven't shared any misinformation

@@BanyaBiswas I totally get that skin care is subjective. My only issue is saying serums are not beneficial for everyday as there are several kinds of non irritating serums with solid ingredients. As you are just getting started your skin care journey trying different things see what works makes sense. What I wanted to convey is that not adding some solid ingredients to the skin care routine like retinol or vitamin c etc in the long run doesn’t make sense. Later stage as you age it will become a hassle to build up the tolerance to avoid wrinkles and fine lines. I started with three solid products in my 20s Sunday Riley Luna oil with very low retinol, Drunk elephant C Firma serum and Alpha H liquid gold. As I grew older I started introducing other ingredients and products based on my skin requirements. I introduced tretenoin late when I was 34, thankfully my skin already had tolerance from retinol products in the past. It made my skin incredibly beautiful. After few months I had better skin than when I was in my 20s . I am 37 now yet have the skin of a 25 year old without any wrinkles and fine lines. Yes sometimes less is more, but switching up skin care to feed the need is the best approach in the long run. Skin elasticity and firming is equally important as glowy and spotless skin. I hope it makes sense. It is good that you are changing your routine but I would like to iterate that when it comes to Korean skin care even they believe in 7 step 10 step skin care routine. So just using toner as the only skin care step doesn’t do much for the skin. I have not posted the comment to judge rather to make it aware of the long term vs short term benefits.

      I agree with u
Tretenoin is proven and prescribed by topmost dermatologists for skin rejuvenation and acne scar treatment
These girls on utube start using tretenoin in their own .
I have just turned 30 and using tretenoin from past 8 months and my skin is improving day be day...
Although i am 30 but look like 23-24
And this utuber banya nowhere looks 23 , she has a face of mature women and this is all because she keep changing her products and do makeup
None of her videos is filter free...
And her most of the followers are young teen girls who follow what she uses without doctor prescription and knowledge
Now a days everyone is trying to become dermatologist 😂on their own
We should report about these utubers
I have already reported from 2 ids

Super informative.Love the way how you co-relate everything related to skincare .Yes,skincare is subjective and what might work well for me may or may not work wonders for other. And yeah lastly I am a toner person , unlike the astringent ,denat.alcohol toner that are used in the past the present upcoming toners contain lots of beneficial effect and loaded with good ingredients. I meant who wouldn't love toners these days . I have dehydrated oily skin and hydrating moisturizing toners work well for me ,it help maintain the optimum oil and water balance and I don't need further explanation as toners are revolutionary now . I love how Korean formulate their toners , very innovative they are literally stepping on another level. Love you 💖

Yes, start double Cleansing, and if salicylic acid isn't working for you at all, try glycolic acid. If nothing works, retinol serum is your last option. Get otc retinol serums and use sunscreen wisely.

I need cleansing oil for water resistance sunscreen ?
And Tretinoin is not for glowing skin yaar it never says I m for glowing skin, it makes your skin healthy and clear as far as I know .

    • @BanyaBiswas

Yes you need Cleansing oils to remove water resistance sunscreens.
Tret gives Glowing skin too. It basically helps to give you young skin cells. And these cells are new and young and glowy
