Great video. I see alot of people reviewing the G Cloud more as what they wish it was rather than what it actually is. Just ordered the G Cloud. I know what I am getting into though. I look at as a "companion device" so I can locally stream my ps5 and run gamepass instead of using my phone. I don't view it as a true console but rather a controller with a screen to play in bed or when my kids are using the tv.
That's exactly right, you'll love it.
They review for the value not what they wish it was. For the price what it does is just not worth it when there is another device in it's price range that is leagues above it. If it was $150-$200 lower everybody would be praising this device.
I have a dilemma which one to choose. I'm worried about dpad that it's hard to do diagonal in Gcloaud and in steam deck that if I play quietly without a headset the fan will be loud.
@Tulponatix You know you can stream games on the Steam Deck right.
@amifiii265 I agree. I put it in a different category. I will most likely buy the ROG Ally when it drops but its a completely different device that I will use for emulation. I love my g cloud. It's light. The battery is great and I can play my ps5 and series x on it easily. It was money well spent
I picked up the Logitech gcloud and i'm having a blast with ps5 remote play and xbox cloud.
The screen is awesome, i love it! In my hands it feels so great even for hours.
Im going for the Logitech g cloud cause this is my first cloud streaming system.
I have my Gcloud ordered and it'll be here Saturday. I am so excited. I have a nice computer and internet connection. I've paid for Gamepass for years and never actually used my xbox series S because I love watching TV while I game handheld. This device is made for me. I'm the target demographic, hell yes.
Nailed it, redfall just came out on gamepass I bet it's great on the cloud
I actually hated this thing upon release. But I use shadow pc pretty regularly and this would feel very good to play when I'm in mobile mode as opposed to my phone. May wind up getting this as I've picked up some serving shifts on the side and have extra $$
underrated channel, rly informative video
I appreciate that, thanks a bunch!
I think if the g cloud was a little more powerful it would be the handheld for me. I like cloud gaming, android emulation has come along way. But for ps2 and gamecube you still need something like a SD845 to get decent performance on every game. Im excited to see.what kind of performance the Razer edge gets
true.. this device has the perfect form and screensize.. but for that price at least SD888.. and they have to fix the issue of not supporting exFAT format for your microsd card.. it only supports FAT32 formats, wich means no file size bigger than 4gb..
@@cashless1980 na you can merge the SD card into internal memory for the G Cloud. But the G Cloud is so weak, had to return for Steam Deck for good emulation
Everybody keep talking bout the price I have both and I love the gcloud it's android...the definition of android basically is you can do anything.this console does so much more then what they show and I do it all and it shows way better the the deck
This is a perfect comparison. They do what they do well and the overlap is ok
Exactly
G cloud plays ps2 and gamecast fine
Having a steam deck 2-6 hours would be a better time on the battery but that’s not discrediting it it’s a great console and I have a Logitech g cloud and I love it but I can see why a lot of people don’t like it as such not as many options on games as the steam deck but if your big into Xbox and the Xbox exclusives the g cloud is great for you I love having a diverse library at hand and the steam deck adding offline mode made it great on the go although I play it mostly at home in the bed and on the couch.
Right I just sometime need to be somewhere else other than my desk
Yeah steam deck gets about 2 hours at 10-11W which is what most people will use to play full fledged PC games. At the max 15W setting it only gets 1.5 hours. Realistically it's a 2 hour AAA device or a 5-6 hour indie device.
Great video! Both devices are beautiful, but you're right I fit more into the Steamdeck camp. I only own Nintendo rn with no gaming PC, I want a SD so bad!
Thank you I bet you'd have a blast with one!
Seize the day and take what's yours ✊
The G Cloud is absolute trash I hate the thing wish I could sell it and put the money towards the Steam Deck 😊
Great video. I could tell you value and respect the Steam Deck more while being honest about the benefits and value of the Gcloud. PsPLAY works amazing on this device. One more thing to add about the Cloud is that it’s available to pickup immediately in stores.
Yes that's totally right, thanks for the kind words. And my only gripe about ps play is the need to own a playstation. I tried it with my bros old PS4 which played great but I wish it was stand alone like the PC version.
@@DaveyG I find that I’d change games too much for it to be online only. I was running Friday 13th, Dead By Daylight, VHS Horror, The Crew 2 and CupHead for a while. Dead by Daylight eats an entire SD card. Vhs, Friday 13, and The Crew 2 all take forever to download and are space heavy. Even after I set everything up within a few days I was wanting to play Dragonball Fighter Z, Dragonball Breakers, and most recently Dragonball Xenoverse 2. This isn’t the PS1 rom days. These games take serious space, and when you’re in the mood for a fight, you wanna be able to get it on, NOW. With the Gcloud , when that whim comes , I can simply turn it on , connect to wifi or hotspot, and remote into my PS4 and get to action in less than a minute. It’s like having that girl who is probably better quality, and makes you work more , but still having that low level girl who always makes you pop fast.
I am subscriber 994, just so you know. I think you deserve more. Lots more.
🤘woo thanks! I'll keep worken on it!
All the best to your beautiful Channel hopefully your subscribers and viewers will keep increasing 🇴🇲 😀
Thank you so much, I hope so too!
I got the logitech g cloud so that I can play android games and remote play Xbox and PS5 games on it I know that there are way better devices out on the market but when I got it really cheap I'm happy enough with it
I'll probably wait for the razer edge because it has way beefier specs than the Logitech g cloud and I'm still planning on buying a steam deck also.
G cloud is superb. Many reviews don’t even mention emulation, that cloud ri s superbly well even on 4G connected ti a phones hot spot. Too many review what they think it is and not waft is actually there.
It is overpriced I agree but it had me gaming more than ever.
It's not really overpriced tho
@@kaletree504for cloud gaming, yes but it depends on what the manufacturers put in it. Over all? No.
You didn't mention steam link on G cloud
It works great!
great video, i like that you give the choice instead of saying one bad second good or vice versa
i can say personally that i picked up steam deck because i am traveling frequently and it's a good thing to go if you have to sit in a train or plane for a longer while
Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the compliment. I think it's great for this use, I've taken
6 flight this year and it's been a blast.
@@DaveyG had almost 30 flights this year :)
Watching the LTT video its worth mentioning that the Logitech is a collab with Tencent and you need to accept their terms of service to use it...
I find it funny, alot of the popup boxes are hard to click. the device just won't let you click some of them for no real reason.
@@DaveyG I've noticed for some reason that the past few new devices that include touch screen have been getting worse. Worse in that touch screens are very hard to use, not sure if it's just me but touch screen technology has seemed to devolve.
So, bro u are commenting on a Google platform, the biggest and worst aggregator and seller of data just saying
I love to see your channel grows dude.and you earn sub button from me.greeting from malaysia.your channelwill grow big soon.i can see that.
Hey I really appreciate that, I'll keep worken! 🍻
Nice audio sounds crispy
My return window for the g cloud is about to run out and I’m so close to getting the steam deck but idk, if all I’m going to mostly do is remote play I feel like the sd might be overkill however, emulating all the way up to switch is pretty tempting
I'm personally in the SD camp more due to travel wifi being real bad. So horsepower is more important to me. I really do like the Cloud for an at home streaming option. It's light and lasts forever on battery.
The SD is for the big boys, the Logitech is for kids😊
@@lexbeltran1354 yea I ended up with the steam deck, the thing I miss about the g cloud is battery life and the screen. I’d say the g cloud is more for adults tho.. people with less time where as the steam deck is bringing me back to my child hood..there’s so much I can do with it
Do you regret you decision??? I also have a g cloud but might return for the steam deck. Lmk
U only can play g cloud on the internet not offline plus my SD is 1tb
HI I just wish the Cloud cost around $100 dollars cheaper, at the moment it's a bit expensive
I think it should probably go down after Christmas. They’re selling the vision of playing your Xbox Series X/S , PS4/5, and Steam games … from your handheld, with incredible battery. They’ve made the device LOOK appealing to all ages and it’s just as easy to setup. Most big consoles are hardwired or connected to some form of internet anyways, so needing internet to play isn’t anything new. I think 239 is probably a fair price for what it is
I like the idea of getting the Steam Deck, because it can work for both Moonlight + Sunshine, and also gaming while you're traveling.
Does the steam deck work like a small pc icons, start menu, command, etc….?
I just heard about the refurbished ones for sale… haven’t seen that feature shown, I’ve seen the ally, the new Logitech legion go, GPD win 4, all have pc-like home screens.
You mentioned how much the deck can do, so I thought it a relevant question.
Thanks bro great review.
Hey bro great review! Im going to purchase one of these for my 9 year old son. Any advice which way I should go? He already has a switch and ps5. I just want to get him something with different gaming options he can play on the go. That’s why I like the Xbox store idea because they have different games than PlayStation
Hey thanks! Also Honestly he's 9 the thing he may not destroy quickly is the cloud it's much cheaper. But the deck will give you a greater option for different games.
How did you manage to play Overwatch two on the Logitech G cloud? I'm looking at the thumbnail 00:19
steam link
Its great for a ps5 xbox s console companion to play remotely. I dont have streaming services but i do play remotely if my kids use the TV
Why buy the Logitech when I can use my phone to Cloud game?
Very valid point. Only thing I would be able to rebut with is it's a bigger screen and built in controls but the backbone solved that. I personally like my devices separate, but I'd love to give it a try wotha controller attached.
Bigger screen in 16:9 format. Using the G Cloud will also spare the battery on your expensive phone.
I’ve never enjoyed playing on my phone. I have a razor Kishi. Cramped and crappy. G cloud is awesome to play.
The Steam Deck 512 gb is too expensive. I paid just $250 for the Logitech G Cloud w/ carrying case. Saved $400. Until steam offers a 50% discount or better, there's no way I'll pull the trigger.
$250 for the cloud is great, as for the deck I think the best we will see is 10% off for now at least for a few years
too bad the g cloud costs that much, it's actually the most good looking handheld and i'd buy it just for that but it's the best only to do just that one thing, which you can literally do with your phone (less comfortably but still with your phone)
I dont find the steam deck worth it because just a sd card isnt enough for me if they are gonna stick with sd card they should have both mirco sd card and full sd card slots
The Logitech G Cloud is $300. It has been 'discounted' from the "MSRP" to this price for like 90% of the time it has been released. Logitech does this with most of their products to make buyers think they are getting it on sale.
Not your fault, it's Logitech's fault. But just wanted to put that out there.
I want the G cloud but it doesn't look like its coming to the UK...shame!
Well u was right on point great video.
Thanks starlyte!
Which one of these will play Enshrouded from steam? I dont own a pc but i do have a steam library with games
Not sure of the game but my bet is the deck. The could is mostly for streaming.
It's actually called PlayStation remote play and there's another one called psplay which I think is already preloaded on the g cloud
Your set decc is always top notch!! 👌👌 I love the flat lay shots!
I need to change up a few things but yes I finally found one I like. Thanks for noticing 👏
For me this comes down to two things. Number one, Ownership.
I want to own my games. I purchased them and they are mine.
I own them and can do what I please with them and to them.
Number two, I am not into game rentals. I used to rent games
from Blockbuster video. A video rental store. You would pay a fee
get the movie go home, watch it and you had a 3 days to return it.
Game Rentals worked the same but you had a week end or a little
longer than videos.
Finally, it really comes down to this. For only 50 dollars more, you can
get into gaming do everything the "cloud" device does minus the battery.
Which is being improved all the damn time. Which you didn't mention.
Plus, you get to own YOUR games. No one else owns your games and
the money you spent and time and effort playing those games and the saves
and things you did with those games.
All belong to someone else. They can snatch them from you without notice.
That's really key. They can delete it, your saves your money put into the game,
without telling you at all. In the night, while you sleep. Do you really want that?
Do you really want to put yourself through that? So, for me, it's Steam Deck all day
everyday until a slimmer better battery version comes out and they are working on it. Allegedly.
I mean true but owning digital games is a bit questionable
@@OHCAM5 Very similar to owning them on cartridge. You can look at M.2 ssd as a cartridge if you want. Same technology. Digital files in memory that slots into your device on a stick. Same Idea just higher capacity.
@@valentine_puppy Not really given the over reliance on license verification through the internet. You can't just buy games nowadays and never go online again. Well unless you pirate them
@@OHCAM5 Depends on the game. I get why they do that but, the issue is owning that game at home vs someone else owning it on their servers. For me, I prefer to own them at home on my SSD or HDD or physical media. Now, if they won't play ball then, I'll take my ball home and vote with my wallet. I think that's a good model. It's not them that push the industry forward it's us and what we allow them to get away with.
@@valentine_puppy But nowadays there's really no difference because most of the time you have to verify the license online so even if you have that game on an SSD you don't really 100% own it like it was before.
Which one can I play the sims on?
Both if you stream
I have both and they both are great at what they do and the battery on the gcloud is really good no fan noise and doesn't get hot I use it often for remote play my Xbox one and PS4 the steam deck I use batocera and steam os and works great
I have a dilemma which one to choose. I'm worried about dpad that it's hard to do diagonal in old games on G cloaud and in steam deck that if I play quietly without a headset the fan will be loud. Can you tell how it is?
The dpads are fine for me. As for fans the g cloud doesn't have one. And the steam decks is audible but I wouldn't say loud at load. I lean closer to the steam deck IMO.
I want something for when I'm camping. I like the g cloud have streamed using GFN and even GOOGLE STADIA (before it died), but steam is too expensive. Maybe a Nintendo switch... 🙄 Lol
Big thing I think about for offline gaming is where you games sit. If you already have a steam library the deck comes preloaded with games. For a switch if you have a library then it is cheaper. But if you need to buy all the games it adds up quick. I actually really like each device for a different task.
If you can still use G Cloud while camping, then its not camping. nintendo is cheaper, but games are morevexpensive.
I got the G-Cloud. Because already built a gaming PC. I don't need a Handheld PC. I mean The Steamdeck is 2 pounds. Am i playing video games or lifting weights. I got it for Streaming games off my Gaming PC. And dose a great job for that, Im not going pay for Xbox game pass. Plus it emulate everything up to PS2. I cant complain. It dose Netflix and that shit too.
The state of handheld gaming is terrible right now. It’s all over the place. I wish Sony could just release one with every console drop. I have no idea what to buy now
Deck for games on the device anywhere, like a PSP. Cloud for wifi gaming just like an iPad for gaming. Sony is working on a device but it will basically be a Logitech cloud that can only play Sony games.
If you have a xbox you can just play your games on the go there no need for getting a gamepass if you have a pc and the logitech you can just install moonlight and the og gamers know what im talking about
See this is where I think. Who is the Logitech for? People with a desktop that want something portable? Or are they both strong enough on their own. Many questions...
So I tried the g cloud and did not like the quality of streaming being that it’s a cloud device I tried my Xbox game pass and ps remote play and it was blurry my iPhone quality was better.
Mate I'd need a magnifying glass to read those specs lol
Logitech cloud running on Android is basically using your phone with a controller and stream games.
Id rather use my phone then. Or am I missing anything important?
Yes, your Not really missing anything, but I don't prefer the phone. The cloud's got a 7in screen and feels quite robust. Where are phone is two object put together. the cloud is purpose built for streaming games. It's up to preference.
@@DaveyG thanks for explaining!
Just buy a android tablet. Logitech device will go out of date when the new android update comes out just like cell phones or tablets
Steam deck “4 to 6 hours battery life” you must not play triple a games if you think the minimum is 4 it’s more like 1.5 hours on certain games even at low settings
Key work certain games. He is talking about the average
Cloud means: this is NOT yours! We just let you play it...
“We just let you play it”… isn’t that the goal these days?
I'm kinda ok with paying a monthly vs $60 per. I'd also like to purchase for offline. Is it ok to want both options 😂
That's not true. I own my games that I play remotely from my Xbox on my G Cloud. It's free and works fantastic.
@@jbarajasp yes, like i say, they let you play it. But the games are not yours.
They are his though m8
Gcloud can run God of war and fight night and Wii games and GameCube I do
Le g cloud doesn't work well with the psp ps5?
I kinda feel like for the extra 50 bucks the deck would be worth it.
I just can't justify the price on the G Cloud.
There are way too many chinese handhelds that can do everything it does and more although I do feel it has the best build and is more ergonomic.
It should be priced between 230-250 to be a competitive product.
What happened to your hand????? Is that a huge burn?????? Are you ok?????
Glass explosion,
ua-cam.com/video/yrVIMLzVcKE/v-deo.html
You can remote play on ps5 too ,is what I use it for
Is this even a debate?
I want the cloud just to play gamepass games
That's what it's for!
The chad 💪🏻🇹🇩 Steam deck vs evrething elles
Steam deck is only as good as the software it can play!!! In a couple of years you will have to Nerf your settings to get it to play whatever is out natively...That is not compelling...G cloud needs to come down in price tho...
Logitech G Cloud would had better sales if they made it just a android console that a streaming game device.
I have to have the touchpads.
Steamdeck way more versatile.
Steam deck no brainer mostly cause I already got one and the price the g cloud is going for is a bit much for an android handheld that can only truely do cloud gaming
Steam deck definitely beats it by miles
The Logitech G-Cloud runns better Msfs2020
@4:31 😐
LOL This is like comparing apples to oranges.
Can you play the Sims 4 on this like you can on the steam deck
well one starts at 350 the other is over 5-700
The "other" starts at 400
You call Asus name roght👍
the internet taught me
Logitech "G" Cloud*
Those buttons are questionable 😅😅
Highly
As someone who has brought the Logi Tech I'm gonna warn you in advance and I hate to kill your joy, although it has a great battery, this device sucks! You can't download games, you will have to have internet and a subscription to play games. Please get the steam deck do NOT spend your money on that device it's not great if you want to play games offline or OWN your games.
Yes completely agree. But, if you do, only want to stream. I do think for under or at $300 it's a worth while device even if the color scheme is cheaks.....
i'm running windows 11 on my deck,,,let that logitech try that
Steam
The G Cloud is absolute trash I can’t get GE Force now to work…..Can’t get my Xbox library to play at all…..PlayStation cloud is awful can’t use the joy cons if I could sell this thing I would buy it was a Christmas gift I want a Steam Deck not this piece of shit
I swear to God anybody that uses cloud gaming on a steam deck deserves to throw their steam deck at the wall because you guys made it useless. You spent $400 just to play cloud games.
I've been using GeForce now for 40k Darktide. It runs great, better warm up my arm...
Eh tbh the only Cloud game ive played is Genshin Impact. But even then i dont use my deck for that. Cause I dont want to install windows 11 to my deck and I also dont wanna risk getting banned due to removal of the anti cheat. I usually just play on my laptop since am just too used to keyboard controls in game.
This is shortsighted, as the Deck will become dated after some time. People will use it for streaming the latest and greatest games more often in the future.
Why? They can do whatever with it and decided to use cloud gaming. It's an OPTION. Just something you can do. Better than spending $350 for something that ONLY does Cloud games
@@OHCAM5 no
Battery on steam deck is horrible
It's a handheld PC. What did you expect? The battery on all of them are horrible
Bro looks like a dollar tree Lip Gallagher
Sa yo san talan😂😂😂😂😂
It’s pretty obvious you’re biased before reviewing these products
O my
Cloud gaming sucks.
That's all you need to know for what not to buy.
It can be totally fine depending on where you live/how close you are to the servers, at least with Xcloud. Pretty sure Geforce Now is actually very usable for most people- heard a lot of people say that it can look/feel native (but it costs a lot more).
Sucks for you. I play from the cloud all the time when not home and works perfectly
This guy clearly bias
What kinda bullshit is that! 😂😂😂😂
fyi i played manhunt and gran turismo 4 on my g cloud...i returned it tho cause the d pad sucks for fighting games
The steamdeck is just awful. The button layout is terrible. Having buttons as far out as You can is uncomfortable. Especially when this thing is like a very long sega gamegear. Id rather have the g cloud. Does everything the stinkdeck can do but more comfortable
But games have to be streamed so you have to be on Wi-Fi to use
Lmao they both r terrible deals. U shouldn’t buy either….. u should spend ur 4-500$ on a laptop bc u will be way happier. Battery life means nothing at 100MS latency and 40fps😂 even the most budget laptops blow these things out of the water in litterally every aspect of gaming/productivity. Do not buy these gimmick handhelds lol.
I like mine, and have no use for a laptop. But i would be interested in a 400$ laptop vs steam deck video / drag race.
Lmao they really used that same BS logi logo that endlessly F plays over and over again like the ghub app I already hate it😂
