We have a stock 2001 100 series LC on AT's with AHC - it was in immaculate condition when we brought it a few years back, but I have finally gotten past the 'first scratch' phase. It was so clean it was hard to use it for what it was designed for! Kind of defeated the purpose for a while... We drove this track alone in the same direction as you guys around a year ago - it really highlighted to me how awesome Toyota's traction control system is. The next time you guys are in the Nelson area drop me a note, I'd love to hook up and go for a drive. We have recovery points front and rear and a bag full of rated recovery gear - that is, to my shame - still shiny. Nice video - thank you! :)
Sorry Neil - just saw this. I have been to their monthly club meeting but now face the issue of their trips being mostly on weekdays - and as a working couple, that doesn't work for us. Sucks - they seemed like an awesome group of people but for those of us not yet retired, bailing on work every Thursday just isn't an option. I wish it was different...
turn ya lights onto park so you dont keep flashing them at the leader. I adjusted the sensitivity of mine down so its not so bad now.I was over that same two tracks on about 8 october in my Fortuner We went the other way though
Last month thru the floods google decided to show this as a route to murch 😂😅 What a FUCKING keint of a mess it was... tourists stuck in there wee mazdas and corollas all thru there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love your work mate, keep em coming
Thanks, will do!
Great little track. I did this in torrential rain, hail lightening and thunder. The track was a river.
Sounds like you had fun.

The traction control has let me change my driving style, less forward momentum into the hazard. Have you joined the Nelson club?

I'm surprised that they are running mid-week trips, that won't help getting younger people to join the club.
It may have deterated a bit but I took my Legacy over there a couple of years back
Wow, I don't think you could do that now without some damage unless you used maxtracks etc
I figured now that the Rotoroa side of the Porika is not maintained with the hydro line accessed from the Howard

Thanks for that, I must remember to do that with the lights as I have just left them on auto.
@@realneilsadventures there is a you tube video about how to make the sensor(adjust) for the auto lights less sensitive too
I will check it out, thanks.
What the fuck was that all about??
Head lights on the Fortuner can't be turned off, so sometimes they turn on in auto under trees etc.
