I'm just getting into airsoft and I'm already thinking of making my own handmade gear like this to go for a sort of 'Juggernaut Lite' thing so I'm watching videos like this even though I don't know the first thing about sewing
I found your video while researching how to make a weighted vest for working out. They are outrageously expensive. I have a sewing machine....why don't I put it to use and make this.
My husband wants me to make one of these. I think I could do it but I'm going to mess up the first time so I'm going to use scrap materials the first time and nice waterproof fabric next time. These are so expensive to buy.
Danke!
Some Measurements and a Pattern might be nice if you gonna make a V2.0 of your Tutorial some day🤘😎 also what kind of Plates did you use? Cheers, Steffen from Leipzig
My household sewing machine can never be adjusted to the proper tension when sewing hyplon fabric when modifiing my JPC shoulder strap...so i do it manually and it's painful 🤣
Hyperlon is sick :D Problem is the friction of the material. Maybe some drops of oil can help. But this can be a bit messy :D But the Cordura will work better. 1000D is also some kind of hard to work with.
Hello ripperkon! Greetings from iran I really love your videos they are really informative and i learned so many things from your videos So great job dude keep it up And Also i made my very first plate carriers from one of your videos which was in deutsch...yeah i really couldnt understand the information you were giving about the methods and the right way to build this project. However by following the whole process i finally started to make mine. The problem was the price of cordura fabric and the sewing machine... you know, i made mine only with some old uniform fabrics and a chinese hand-operated (XD) sewing machine which was pain in my.....Fingers And that was all..i made mine in a week (including sewing pattern designing) Overall, i really learned so many things from your work and it really helped me a lot to make this project. great job keep it up man❤️ With the best wishes~
It would be great if these could be branded for children, hell, I'd wear a superman vest myself. I'm not trolling!! My thought is why not have these available for kids at school. You and I know the government takes forever to do anything. So kids could increase their chances if these were implemented as part of American school active shooter drills. Again, not trolling
there are plates designed to go in a backpack, and regular plates would work for this also. A plate in the backpack is more practical than wearing a plate carrier to school.
I actually have hand-stitched plate carriers before and it's just as excruciating as you would expect
Me too. It takes days but the results are very similar

You crazy madman. Respect tho, I've handsewn a chestrig, took me like three days (it looks like shit)
If you had a patreon with a tier that allowed for direct questions and aid in finding machines, etc. I would totally invest in that. Great content.

I enjoyed this video. I decided to buy a new one.

That’s a good idea. I made my first prototypes from an old Cotten army tent material.

Realy nice video keep up with english 🤟
welche Nähmaschine ist das??
How many of these carriers could be made with one yard of that fabric?
Hi! How wide and long is the fabric? Thanks!
Just measure your armor plate width and height and calculate the fabric you need
@@dannylu6230 Also add like 3 or so inches on whichever piece the flap will be on just to make sure there's enough length
