Costco has these 10 packs in sale for $16 through 5/7/24 ... just bought 25. I love how you showed the cuts with the jig saw, shims and laying out the three sides first. Extra kudos for a man/woman team! Your deck is gorgeous.
Thanks a lot, means a lot to us.
This is lovely!! I'm researching options to redo my deck. This looks perfect! And it looks like something I can handle doing myself! 😆
Great job! We're looking to do this on our wood deck as it's very weathered looking. This seems to be the most inexpensive and quickest way to refresh it.
Very Helpful👍🏽 Your deck looks great!
You did a great job! Looks fabulous!
Very helpful. Will be doing this In a few weeks
I love it !!! Great job
Nice job, looks great!!
You did a great job
I just bought some for my concrete porch ❤
Looks good!
I just bought these today for my balcony. They were on sale for $15 a pack so I jumped on it so excited also found cute bistro chairs :) Hello Summer thank you for the video
All the Best!!
Hubby did great
Very nice❤
Incredible work, congratualtions!
Thanks a lot!
Great look , but the original floor looked great .....I guess y'all wanted a different look?
Nice job
your old deck looks great! If you saw mine :( Thank you, may do this soon!)
Awesome job!!
Good job. I am looking for something to put on my concrete patio and this may be the solution.
Good luck! Let us know how did it go.
Question: I set it up on deck but when it rains all water drops under tiles was there not drying. chances for fungus/ wood damage ???
Great video! How are these holding up after two years
very very nice
Thanks a lot
Hola, tengo una duda, se desgastan con el sol??
I liked original floor.
Maybe the next part will change your mind?

Can I ask, how many boxes you used? We are researching for our patio makeover. Your deck looks as big as my patio.
Thank you and I looks great!
Thank you! Our deck is 18x10 feet. Each pack had 10 tiles of 1 sq ft each so we used 18 packs for the whole deck.
Wow! How cool! Question: does this prevent water from going to the patio under the deck?
Thanks! No it doesn’t stop the water, it has holes/ gaps for drainage so water goes through. We have had it for over a year now and it still looks great, no damage whatsoever.
Thanks for sharing. I was concerned about water logging under the tiles and eventually impacting the wood below. How's it faring on that front
There is no water logging under the tiles as there are slits in the tiles and the water just seeps through easily.
what stain would you recommend Olympic or Beher or Thompson Water seal ?
We used Behr transparent Waterproofing Wood finish (www.homedepot.ca/product/behr-premium-3-79l-transparent-waterproofing-wood-finish-clear-no-500-n/1000162581). You can check the full video with all tools and materials used

Very informative video! Do these tiles get hot during summer? Sometimes, my kids run on the patio barefoot.
Thank you. We stay in Southern Ontario (Kitchener) and yes they do get hot and in peak summers we cannot walk barefoot on these tiles. Hope that helps
I have 2 questions for these tiles. Are they ALL SEASON? And are they hot on bare feet in the summer?
We have had these tiles for over an year now and they are in good shape. Yes on very hot summer days in Southern Ontario they get a little hot and we do wear slippers when on our deck on a sunny afternoon.
Me podrías informar cuanto me cuesta el metro x intalar
Hi! Can you share what saw you are using to cut the tiles? Thank you and beautiful job!!
Its a jig saw. We used Ryobi cordless Jig saw
www.homedepot.ca/product/ryobi-18v-one-lithium-ion-cordless-jig-saw-tool-only-/1001698107
thank you!!
Sorry I am not trying to be a jerk so please excuse but I am genuinely curious as to what the point of the deck tiles over your existing deck that seems in perfect condition?
Are they more comfortable to walk on? They look they would be slippery when it’s wet and also extremely hot in direct sun.
Hi, these are rubber tiles and they are definitely more comfortable to walk on as compared to the wood. They are also not slippery at all, we have had rains for the past month and they drained pretty well too. We have had a couple of hot days and they did not get hot then. As summer progresses we’ll see if that changes, but none of the reviews mentioned them getting hot. They also look pretty good, which was the main reason we installed them.
@@take_two_vlogs thanks for the reply. I saw them at my Costco and was curious about their use so this was very informative.
I kind of agree, the wood deck looked much better.
I like the wood deck much better as well. I think this would be a good idea for flooring under a deck or patio. But, good job!!
How are the tiles to walk on? Can you feel them moving? How do the look after 9 months? Great job BTW
I have the same question… does it rain a lot in your area?
We would be making a tile review video in the summers. Do subscribe to our channel and turn on the notifications you haven't already.
We are in South West Ontario, Canada. It does rain here but these tiles have small gaps and water seeps through it easily.
Until now the tiles are firm and we cannot feel them moving after walking on them. Yes they do get hot during summers and we cannot walk on them barefoot.
what happened to the blue tiles you started with ?
Hi there, the tiles have always been black. Maybe it’s the lighting inside the house where we opened it v/s outside on the deck.
@take_two_vlogs how are these holding up 2 years later?
Its holding up pretty well. Will make a review video soon.
How many boxes you used for your deck?
Our deck is 180 sqft and one pack covers an area of 10 sqft so we used 18 packs.
Don't get black, they get very hot in direct sunlight.
Is it plastic thing?? Does it heat up in the sun??
It does heat up on very hot days in Southern Ontario.
can I use thus on garage
Its not recommended as there would surely be cars driving in and out of the garage and these will break. Would advise either epoxy flooring or swisstrax garage flooring. We have done epoxy in our garage, you can check the video on your channel.
Great job but that’s gonna absorb some heat on a sunny day.
Yes these tiles do get hot during sunny days. We do wear slippers on such days.
how did it hold up over the last winter ?
The deck tiles are in pretty condition. Will be making a review video.
@@take_two_vlogsyes, plz make a review video! I want to make a purchase. What are your thoughts on it? You guys did a great job. I’d be needing about 30 boxes for my concrete patio.
How are these tiles now being it be a year now ?
The tiles are in pretty good shape. Will make a review video
How did they hold up. I'm curious
Holding up pretty well after 2 years. Will make a review video soon.
@@take_two_vlogs I'm going to buy some, would love some insight. I got some more worried about the wood under rotting because of it retained water. My deck is just like yours
How do you like it a year later?
Its holding up pretty well. Its our 3rd summer this season and haven't noticed anything falling apart.
Very well explained! I am your new subscriber. Recently came across this video. How are the tiles holding up after a year?
Thanks a lot. The tiles are in pretty good shape. Will make a review video.
Its really nice. Good job.could u please send me the link or sku no of the product?
Thank you for your kind words! 😊
It is the deck tiles at Costco (article no. 1368911)
What is the name of the tiles?
We got it from our local Costco warehouse in Waterloo, Ontario. Its called Multy Home Urbana Deck Tiles (Article no. 1368911).
I have one suggestion...why don't you invest in some knee pads when working on your knees....it will save wear and tear on your knees.... in years to come you'll be glad you did!!!!...Just speaking from experience!!
I have knee pads, but didn't use them for this project. Thanks a lot for your advise. Will definitely start using them.
Perfect where did u purchase tile?
The deck tiles are from Costco
I can’t find it online from costco. Is it only available in store ?
@@charlsjoseph Yes we purchased them in store.
Great video. Very informative and helpful. Thank you.
wood under the deck will be reputed
What about steps?
Sorry, these tiles will slip on the steps, its not advisable to use on steps.
You have such a beautiful face 🥰🥹
why cover a nice real wood deck with plastic
I think this was meant for concrete not for wood but go for it anyway the thing is is that you cleaned the deck when all those tiles are down there is no way for you too do anything other than disassemble it all to clean underneath it also those tiles are going to dig into the wood surface once again hey have fun it's your house I assume if you are renting this house you may have to repair it because those tiles are going to dent the softwood underneath it water is going to go through the tile as it's designed to do anyway I'm sure it's going to be fine regardless I just kind of see the flaws in what people are doing so I like the many way
Hi, thank you for watching our video. We did our research before installing these tiles because it is our own house. The tiles are meant for wooden decks and they are very light and made of rubber. They have drainage holes and so does our deck wood (it has gaps for drainage) wood used on outdoor decks is pretty hard and not soft wood so it is not at all easy to dent them with light rubber tiles. Also these tiles are not fixed, just laid down, so we would just have to lift them up to remove them if ever needed. We are pretty happy with the tiles and know a lot of people who have had them for years without any damage. The purpose of this video is just to show how to install them.
this is not for north America, worst product you can put on your deck and wait until winter to see how they are contracting and get self destroyed leaving huge gaps in between each tiles, and then when it comes hot summer it expands like crazy and collapse and pops out from all the joints. such a cheap horrible product sold in Costco. I hate it.
wow
