so which one was better? all things being equal, zero miles, same tlc, ect, which one could be expected to last longer doing the same work? what are the pros and cons to each?
All I have learned about E40D transmittions in the last week and the main thing I've learned is how expensive they are to have rebuilt, IF your rebuild guy can find parts... I just need a good unit so my son will have his first truck. Looks like I'm going to the junk yard today...
Where is the transmission output speed sensor located on a 2000 ford expedition 4.6L V8 Triton XLT? I was watching your other video and you stated that my year vehicle has only one and it changed in 2001 to having two.
I have a 1996 ford f350 and it grinds when shifting or clucks when going into 1st. It's a 4x4 460ci gas. Will a fluid change help or is it shot? 100k miles on it. Only happens when its been driving for bit
The stator is worn, clogged cooler, or pinched line. The converter stator is work and knicking the seal or unit is over-pressuring. And/or the area where the metal-clad seal seit is worn out if the whole seal keeps blowing out and not the rubber part, you could try adhesive to keep in place.
How can you tell when either one goes bad? I have a 2001 expedition 4x4 but it will not change gears on its own. I'm having to let off the gas and then apply it again once the gears change. I'm just not sure which one is bad so i can swap it out. Thanks.
Yes we do offer the E40D that can be converted into your 1979 F100 you will need to get a Stand alone controller for it to operate which we do offer as well I will put a link for both below. What causes the front pump seal to keep blowing out .
