Cresent has nailed both the straight tracking and turn-ability with their kayaks! We couldn't keep the LiteTackles in stock last year and we expect these to be just as popular. Awesome review, thanks for sharing :D
I bought a lite tackle spring of 22. Initially loved it, but the shoalie came out a few months later. Biggest complaint with the LT is how bad it is in shallow water. It was a dry summer and most of the rivers i float are heavily rain dependent, but it felt like i spent as much time dragging the kayak as i did floating.
That’s interesting and i can seen that with the way the keel is it the center I had the LT out on few rivers but they were higher volume rivers. Thanks for the feedback. Did you notice that as much in the Shoalie I have had it on a few rivers also and not noticed it
@@WadeHarrison Shoalie is definitely a better shallow water boat. LT seems to be a better gear hauler but that keel can ruin a late summer float trip. It may be a better all around kayak, just depends on the waters you frequent. Great video!
Can you access the front hatch while you’re on the water? And I’m not sure if you’ve ever paddled a tarpon 120.. but if you have.. how would you compare the paddling performance of the lite tackle 2 to the tarpon 120?
Absolutely love my Lite Tackle II, Crescent makes an amazing paddling yak, picking up the newer K Craft from this this year as well, will be my wife’s primary and my fly fishing rig
Thanks for your coverage of the LT2. In a different video, you commented on the stealth of the Shoalie. Is this one noisy by comparison? I’m like you: I like quiet a lot of the time.
Yeah i forgot to cover that one. From my use it’s close to the shoalie because the hulls are very similar but the added rocker and sides lifted slightly you would hear the water pile in the front little more. And the edges splash but not anything crazy.
Honestly i think be fine with either the shoalie does surprisingly well on flats but over all the LT2 is just more suited for everything so really comes down to few features here and there and price
Love Crescent boats for how well they paddle. I really wish the Shoalie & Crew had options for pedal drives. I like my Crew, paddles GREAT, but I'd like my next Crescent to have the ability to upgrade.
This one was already had them when I got it so thinking it’s some of the first pad kits available I will ask if they are available yet I looked on the site and didn’t see them.

Thanks awesome definitely can see the appeal!

Yes you can get to it on water and its way better than the Tarpon series

Nice I will have a walkthrough and on water review of that soon
@@WadeHarrison nice looking forward to a quality review on it not many out there yet!

Would you recommend the lite tackle2 or the shoalie for someone who fishes flat water like big lakes and ponds 90% of the time?
Honestly i think be fine with either the shoalie does surprisingly well on flats but over all the LT2 is just more suited for everything so really comes down to few features here and there and price
@@WadeHarrison How long of a paddle are you using?
Hey good video I was wondering do they make a stand up assist strap
Technically can run something off the gear trac in the center but no there’s not one on it out the factory

Yeah I don’t see them doing that anytime soon agreed it would be a cool feature though
Another excellent review. 👍
I have the ultralite, but am considering getting this one.
Yeah that’s the upgrade that’s worth making
Nice video..My only issue is no place to store plano boxes in the low seating position.
Yeah agreed when your in the low seating position in the LT2 there’s like almost zero storage under there..
Where’d you get the deck pads ?
This one was already had them when I got it so thinking it’s some of the first pad kits available

Nice looking boat!
Definitely one the best fishing rec boats out there in my opinion
is that Moon Rock or Moss Green?
The one I reviewed is moon rock
Good Lord they thought of everything!!!
This kayak really is like the best all round fishing kayak out there in my opinion
