I have used this tool (Wifi variant) to retrofit Genuine cruize control and disable start/stop + Adblue on a 2020/21 Renault Trafic 2.0Diesel wich was accidently ordered without CC...
I only needed steering wheel with buttons, Dashboard buttons... vanwas pre wired.
Activation of the Cc needs to be authorised in the ecu config and then needs to be enabled in the ecu/injection ecu tab and its good to go! all this was done with DDT4ALL as this odb2 device is fully compatible with that windows application.
Notice no single official renault dealer was willing to help and/or only offered aftermarked solutions for 500/600 Euro's with weird external control buttons and handles...
Steering weel ++ dash knobs where 80Euro + tool 26Euro incl shipping in 1 day.
106 Euro for retrofitting a genuine Cc is not a bad deal vs the junky 600Euro aftermarkes solutions i guess :) All this done by myself...
I can confirm it works on a 2001 model Rover 45 1.6i ,but stupid me didn't do sufficient research i have IOS, so i tested it with my GF's old Z5 worked flawless, gonna get myself the Wifi version... due to iCRAPPLE!

I have a VXDAS Nexzscan in my vehicle: a 2007 Xterra.
I was driving one afternoon when the Check Engine Light came on. My scanner determined it was my gas cap. Not only was I able to diagnose, repair, dismiss the code, VXDAS Nexzscan offers a subscription for personal use.
It has features such as 40k DTC definition,retrieves generic,manufactures-specific and pending codes as well as vehicle information(VIN,CIN,CVN) .including the ABS/ Stabilitrak codes.and shows service intervals, what service is typically needed, average prices, and is able to find repair shops.
VXDAS Nexzscan can show some live data as well.
VXDAS Nexzscan cannot do a smog check nor show freezeframe data, but with my model year to fail a smog requires extreme wear in the exhaust or engine, which it has not come to.
I’d like to see a comparison of VXDAS Nexzscan and ICAR, along side dealer-level or shop diagnostic tools for fairness.

Correct me if im wrong but is the vgate device in the video is just a re-branded KW903, but it sells for what is pretty much twice the price?
Sort of like how the OBDLink LX adaptors look to be the KW902 and sold for over 4x the price.
Can I turn off my TPM with this? My sensors are old and malfunctioning giving me a flashing warning light showing low pressure as well as the orange warning light. I would like to remove both.
Well, half-way there - this one'll switch itself off after half an hour, but I soooo wish there was a unit which'd automatically switch itself on when it senses activity on the OBD bus. Still, it's a vast improvement over my previous adaptor - which'd remain powered on but after a couple of days would lock up (necessitating unplugging/re-plugging to rectify).
So you could park next to me while you get into a store and i get the chanse to activate different key.s or cards for your car and be gone before you payed your shopping products? :D
Be happy it does not turn on auto... there is a reasen probably... Car stealers would love it if products like this where massively sold as there is NO SECURITY to connect to it!
Its litterly an open door if you leve it plugged in and running...

i found it slow... but i heard Bluetooth does NOT work on iOs, though it is indicated on the box. i had bought one some years ago, and i thought it was NOT working, though the LEDS works. And you DID explain this on this clip, so i am very grateful for you. I did buy a cheap Android Phone at Aldi/Medion, and indeed, now it found it via bluetooth. I want to use it in combination with Hudway (head up display) in my Honda FR+V, and now it is going the right way to install it there. Thank you for the video. Why do you say it doesn’t work with Apple, when there’s an Apple logo on the box - which you said means it’s compatible.
Also, you went on to say it doesn’t work with Apple/iOS because of Bluetooth. My previous OB2 worked via Bluetooth with my iPhone6 just fine.

I think you might need the CD when using a lap top all tuning software is on it
Nothing you can't get from the internet. Especially if you want to use specific software for manufacturer-particular PIDs.

What is the difference with much more cheap device who cost few euros compare to this one who cost more than 60 euros?
It shouldn't be 60 euros. Look elsewhere, use my Amazon links. The difference is speed (bandwidth) and reliability in talking to the car's modules other than the primary ECU.
what is the difference between this and the cheaper ELM327 readers you can find online?
Faster, basically (higher bandwidth for simultaneous monitoring of different PIDs). It might also access some modules that the cheapies might not, on a car-by-car basis.

Well I can testify the icar2 definitely works with the Mondeo Mk3. So if you're not using it wrong, maybe yours is faulty.

Otherwise just search for "icar2 bluetooth". (And note you need to use wifi version with iDevice, because Apple is Apple.)

If it's timed out, yes. Suggest you get the latest version, see ua-cam.com/video/GNLVSjDt4CI/v-deo.html which has better auto power management.

I don't see why not. If you're asking about configuring the injectors on the older cars, I think so but haven't tried.

i just ordered one for my ford mondeo 2006 diesel 2.0 duratorq 115cv. will update you when i get it and see if it works

You can see any codes your car sets and you can get live data which can be useful for diagnosing problems and even just for fun to have more info about what your engine is doing while driving.

As explained in the video you have to use the wifi version with iPhone, because Apple is not properly BT compliant.

Yes. At least, on my Ford it can see the RCM module. Then functionality will depend on the software.
The apple logo is there to let you know that it's compatible with iOS.

Great Video! When I start the car I have to press the power button on the front of the unit for it to turn on. Does anyone else have the same issue?
That's what the power button is there for. It shuts itself off after ~20 mins of no use, so as to not drain power.
Craig's DIY Car thanks for that. Problem is that I'm getting conflicting information from people who claim it should turn itself on automatically when you start the car. Not sure how that little button will last if I have to press it each time.
It definitely needs to be switched on manually once it's shut itself off while still plugged in. It turns itself on when it's 1st connected.
