I have a questions please : what do i have to monitor and how to read the test ? I myself would not notice anything if i dont know what to look for, could you advise pls ? thanks
I have the exact same model, works perfectly and knows ELM327 commands up to version 2.2. I've used it on a Fiat Panda with MultiECUscan on a Windows laptop , works like a charm, however, i still need to use the green adapter cable to connect to the power steering control module and the ABS computer. (but it works) Stop wasting money on the cheaper chinese ELM modules which in most cases don't work properly when you want to connect to other modules than only the engine computer..
Thanks Craig. You still have the Mondeo, same here. Could you do a step by step guide of how to use and benefits from Forscan and Torque. I have the apps bit not really got anything from them other than trouble codes. Cheers
Does this reader work for ABS faults e.g. Service ESP indicator with ABS light on a Vauxhall GTC. I need to determine if it's ABS sensors or pump that's the issue.
I use the same model in my Hyundai Ioniq electric. The problem is, that it doesn't actually switch back on again when I turn on the ignition. I have to unplug it first to restart it. Does anyone know this problem or have a solution?
Is secure to have it constantly connected? in terms that anyone can connect if tries the second most unsercure password "1234" just behind of "0000" and someone can connect and do bad thiungs through the CAN bus.
I think that's its auto-off (stand-by) mode that they go on about w.r.t. power saving. It won't use power of any significance. My car's power saver relay kills the OBD socket 20 mins or so after locking, so it is hard-off - check your car's not doing the same.
I have the same one from amazon but my iPhone or iPad won’t recognize him I’m trying all . But I connect a android Samsung Galaxy 7 and he found it 👍🏻 . But I want use iPhone did you know why ? Or how fix it I try few iPhones and nothing
It should work with the 4S onward. According to the feedback on the Amazon listing (links above) you need to connect thru the app, not the iOS BT config. If one app doesn't work try another until you isolate the problem.
I have a galaxy Note phone a5 problem that obd2 unable to pair with the phone despite working in the car and working with other phones What is the problem
see my message from a few minutes back. For a Fiat you need the "green adapter cable", but that's normal for fiats. Other makes should be able to connect to the power steering computer without adapter cables i guess, it can be make specific
I have bought this same adapter, able to connect to my phone with the wifi named VLINK... however when I tried using a few apps like TORQUE, BIMMERCODE and OBD DOCTOR, I wasnt able to connect to the car... can anyone help?
@@johnheron8465 I just got mine and thought it was plug and play on the iPhone, Connected to a Toyota Corolla 2020, it will activate but not communicate with my phone, however after re-reading the instructions I noticed the device name came in set as "Kiwi 3" and the instructions ask to define the device as Vgate BLE. I am going to try that tomorrow and determine if successful. I am planning on using Auto Doctor and Dr. Prius. I'll do a follow-up once and try it again. Hope this helps.
Mine just arrived & I have yet to plug it in but on Amazon they advertised it made to use "Auto Doctor" with ios. I downloaded that Free with my iphone and have just been waiting for the iCar Pro to arrive to try. If there's an issue I will return to report. I do not believe it is Auto Make specific but nice to see Craig's DIY Car reply regarding ForScan since mine is a Mazda.
I’m looking for a OBD2 Bluetooth adapter that works with bimmercode and deep obd. Looks like bimmercode works. Can someone please confirm if deep obd works as well?
Investors make decisions to boost profits for themselves and owners. This is a commercial operation not a football club anymore. Cap doffers think its a good decision 😅.
unfortunately, this product is pretty much junk. I got one yesterday. It was listed as fully compatible with iOS and Android. I could only get one app on either Android or iOS to work (BimmerCode). I even followed the exact instructions for the recommended app Auto Doctor, couldn't establish a connection. I was unable to find the device and connect to it via BlueTooth on iOS. Last thing, which probably is no fault of the device itself but shortly after I had it plugged in, my check engine light came on. I obviously knew that there was nothing wrong. I took the module out, restarted the vehicle and the check engine light hasn't gone on again. My best guess regarding that would be that one of the applications I was playing with tries to get individuals to upgrade to a paid subscription by turning the check engine light on while communicating with the device. A crap product in my opinion though to say the least.

Does this scanner detect abs failure?

It will if your software/app will.

lost the apps and CD from the where i can find it
its good for a novice but the vlinker FD or MC should be better for intermediate users, and Thinkdaig or launch for experts daily users
Hi which app are you using
Is it normal for the red light to constantly stay on even if the car is locked and not running? Just don't want it to drain the battery

Hello Craig.. Is there any newer version of vgate?.. its been 4 years now
I have the same one from amazon but my iPhone or iPad won’t recognize him I’m trying all . But I connect a android Samsung Galaxy 7 and he found it 👍🏻 . But I want use iPhone did you know why ? Or how fix it I try few iPhones and nothing

and to the computer connector?
iCar Pro Bluetooth3.0 support Android & Windows, iCar Pro(BT3.0/BLE4.0) support Android & Windows & iOS
I have one but I can't see bluetooth on android or phone - is it dead on arrival?
Do i have to leave my ICar pro 3.0 plugged in when I'm not in the vehicle and does it have to be plugged in after programming tire size?
No.
I will stay on (all ODB2 modules do) , even with the key removed, it will eventually run you battery flat unless you drive the car every day
I have a galaxy Note phone a5 problem that obd2 unable to pair with the phone despite working in the car and working with other phones What is the problem
hello its works bmw f30 320d 2.o dise 2013
Hi Craig, I want to know which exactly APP do you use for Vgate iCar Pro. thanks
I'm using Forscan which is for Ford/Mazda
Hy! Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 OBD2, , Is this compatible with bmw e84
Doesn't connect via Bluetooth to my S21 Ultra. (Does not show up on BT) works wirelessly though... annoying.
Hi Craig, now you've had this for a while how are you finding it? Does it work with all the modules on Forscan?
Does this work on diesel cars?

hello , Any ıdea how can ı read steerıng angle wıth this dongle? Is it even possible ?
see my message from a few minutes back. For a Fiat you need the "green adapter cable", but that's normal for fiats. Other makes should be able to connect to the power steering computer without adapter cables i guess, it can be make specific
Is it compatible with the OBDeleven Android app?
No that's a thing for their particular device.
Hi is this still working with bimmercode
Hello Craig, so does it work well with Mondeo mk3? (mine is 2004)
Yes, it works well, my only experience is with Forscan.
Can anyone tell me if you can use this to adjust speedometer to match tire size?
It should work, although I haven't tried it. Here's an example with Forscan on a Ford: ua-cam.com/video/KFnKsSnRLZM/v-deo.html
in my bluetooth connection, I can only see the bluetooth of ios, the android one does not appear in the list, has anyone solved it?
هل يوجد ترجمة باللغة العربية عن كيفية الاستخدام؟!
cant connect to e60
Do you have to pay a monthly subscription with this device?
It's just a device. You need to pair with it whatever software you choose, whether generic or manufacturer-specific.
I have bought this same adapter, able to connect to my phone with the wifi named VLINK... however when I tried using a few apps like TORQUE, BIMMERCODE and OBD DOCTOR, I wasnt able to connect to the car... can anyone help?
Mine doesnt connect either.

is there an app you can use with this on ios that you don't need to subscribe too ??
Probably, try any free OBD app - however full functionality will be car brand specific. The app I'm using is ForScan for Ford & Mazda and it is free.

Unless yours is faulty that all sounds like a problem with your apps or the phones. As far as I can tell it works as advertised.
Can this work in app like dashcammond on I phone
Probably but not 100% sure.
