The best Metal Hero ever. I like Gavan a lot, both are awesome badasses, but there's something unique about this guy. Despite he's a robot, his compassion and overall good nature are genuine and you can feel it from the start.
Metalder is one of the greats
Metalder sounds like a total gem. I'm pretty sure VR Troopers can't hold a candle to the Japanese source. Falcon, I recommend you check out Star Trek Next Generation for the android Data; a real standout for the machine learning emotions. I'll compile a list of episodes later on.

This series is really good but missed the target audience (kids in Japan), since the story was a bit darkier than most tokusatsus and got axed, which is a pity.
The best one, on par with Janperson.

Metelder deserves an anime reboot.
Metalder was the suit used for Ryan Steele in Season 1 of VR Troopers, then he used the Space Sheriff Shaider suit in the 2nd season.
Things would've been even better had the show gone even further. There was even going to be a true mastermind who is actually referenced with Cologin's catchphrase when he uses his power and even influence novel adaptation. That would make a great reunion film set many years after the show.
Great job Falcon, metalder is one of the best tokus, I recommend Jiban too, is more cheese and have the stigma of been a RoboCop clone, but have legitimate great moments

God i wish this got a dvd release in the states. I dont understand why Toei is so stingy with not releasing 99 percent of their stuff in the States.
It's not really Toei's fault. It all goes back to Distribution rights. Toei is only allowed to distribute stuff themselves that they own in Japan and Asia. In the United States for example they can't unless the License holders of said show agree to it. If they refuse they legally can't release it. Like unless Hasbro or whatever other company owns VR, Troopers now agree's to releasing more Metal Heroes you won't ever see anymore coming to the West.

Though for Top Gunder's adaptation in the VR Troopers' series, I do wish Darkheart/Tyler Steele was sprinkled across the series just like he was in Metalder after Part 2 of Rescuing Dark Heart because I feel this would've increased the seriality of the show further. Heck, Ryan woulda been captured which woulda let the production team at Saban to use footage of Metalder and Darkheart during the heat of battle majority of the times.
One of those things they jumped the shark on the adaptation but oh well, what you gonna do,eh?
As a hardcore Metal Hero fan,I'm disappointed how VR Troopers ruined their elements combining into one show plus laziness stock action footage.

You should do and try to find Zansaber. Release in 2004 or 2006! Very rare . 5 heroes like kamen rider / armour hero
