Had to look up the Kenko brand - I'm familiar with the Kewpie version of that type of dressing and I agree that it's SO good!! Will give Kenko a go if it's available here in Oz. Always reassuring to have a recommendation so THANK-YIOU!!
I make this type of dish in the summer all the time with peanut sauce and soba noodles which only take 4 minutes to cook. It is really hot today in Vancouver, BC so this what I am making with a piece of rotisserie chicken on the side.
You are very ayurvedic. Warm food for cold weather, cold food for hot weather. I love your recipes. I love your love you are sharing with the world. This is an appetizer I have served to many customers in the 90s at the Rainbow Chinese Restaurant in Minneapolis. Very delicious and inspiring.
I LOVE the idea of using 'regular' pasta. I find noodles can be hard to cook JUST RIGHT - pasta is more forgiving, more accessible, usually cheaper and you have all the options from angel hair to fettuccini as well, although somehow shapes would be 'wrong' for this I think. It's winter here in Oz, but this will be on my list for the summer. THANKS FLO AND DUDE!!
You read my mind, girl ! I sat down to watch your video with a big ol' plate of salad to munch on. No noodles in mine, just a big ol' tossed salad. That one looks good though. God bless you two in your efforts.
Just made a big bowl of these noodles. Added shrimp and also some mayo to the sauce per your recipe in your Chinese Homestyle. Yum!! It's 112° here so a cold dish is perfect.
I don’t eat peanuts so use roasted cashews and toasted sesame seeds instead. If I don’t have Chinese sesame paste, I use Trader Joe’s roasted salted almond butter also thinned out. Thanks for sharing your recipe ❤
Flo! Another great recipe! Can't wait to try it. Question - if I dilute the peanut butter, would I use oil? water? Thanks in advance for the answer!!! Your recipes are simple and I always appreciate the alternatives!
Great, simple and delicious (we're in the Bay, D.C.). Temperature has been hot in the past days! Did a BBQ (under an umbrella) on the Fourth for family of 14 (the other 12 couldn't make it). I did this sesame noodles with linguine this afternoon. It was a perfect treat!
My sister is coming to visit. We will be making this dish 🍜for sure. She doesn't like cilantro🌿 so I will be only putting it on my dish. It's hot and sunny 🌞here in SW Ontario Canada. Keep safe everyone and remember to be kind to yourself and eachother. 😊
This looks so tasty and perfect for a Summer's day. Cold noodles are one of my favourite things when it is hot outside, and here in the Desert Southwest, it's hot, truly hot! As I am not sure if I have sesame paste on hand at the moment, I wonder if I could whisk a little miso into peanut butter with some water to thin it out. Happy Belated Canada Day to all Canadians up in the Great White North, and Happy Belated 4th of July to all of my fellow Americans!
Miso and peanut butter sounds delicious - and when all else fails, just remember one of my favourite sayings..... "It's not a tattoo!" Happy Independence Day to you from Sydney, Oz!!
Looks lovely. So happy you have summer in Vancouver. Here in England the beginning of July and it’s cold and we had heavy rain this morning - no change there then 🙈
Your weather in Vancouver, BC (26C) isn't "hot". Highs for us: over 100F (38C) I'll give your recipe a whirl. We've been having 'cold' dishes for dinner.... daily !!

I love all of your recipes!! I am 82 years old and live in Klamath Falls, I love to cook and have made several of your recipes, ❤
Hello from your neighbor in Medford.
Used to use the sesame paste, this summer find using Kenko creamy golden sesame dressing as substitute will bring the noodle to next level

My mom use to make this all the time except she used peanut butter instead of sesame paste. So good!!

Need sesame paste and I’ll be making this one!!! I think I’d love it on the regular with chopped cashews and a bit of protein.
Great simple recipe, thank you😊. I would totally add some julienned red bell pepper for more colour.
Perfect video for the hot summer days!
Just finished eating this again ! We have made it 3 times since you posted it, and is in our regular rotation now. Thanks for Posting.

Yummy. I have to try this! Thank you.
I use celery or jicama in place of cucumber because I am allergic to them (mushrooms too).

I think water will work fine but someone suggested sesame oil. That would add some sesame flavour, if you have.
@@FloLum thanks for the suggestions Flo! Cant wait to give this a try!

@@FloLum hmmmm well I hope so Flo I love the hot weather . 😊
2 degrees C in Birmingham, UK, and this is still damned good! :D
Looks so good. We will try it, when the sun returns😅
Would soba noodles work?
It doesn’t come to mind as an option and I haven’t tried but you could always give it a go and see.
Awesome recipe mam, please show torimeshi recipe japanese and honetsukidori recipe japanese, please 🥺 please please please
Sometimes when I don't have asian sesame paste I do a mixture of peanut butter and some tahini for the sauce.
You all have made a difference with your kind words. Thank you!
We call this somen salad in hawaii
Child sesame noodles are delicious. I need to try making them at home.
Lol I hope you mean cold. 😆
@@FloLum of course 😉

You have no idea how wimpy we are. 😆 Well… maybe you do now. 🥵
A little shake of red pepper flakes adds a nice pequin note to the dish.
Did he blow on that 1st bite? 😂 Looks delicious, will be trying this soon.
Oh thank the cooking gods, a wood cutting board! That plastic thing hurt my soul. ;)
It’s actually rice husk and I like to use it when cutting raw meat cuz it’s easy to clean. But for everything else, I use my wooden board!
You are saying “2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, soy sauce, and etc,” but you never measure 😅😅😂 Asian moms vibe lol
The Heat is gonna be ridiculous next week 35 then100% humidity every Night till about November.
