I've always complimented GT for their top notch pen for their shows and especially the reviews, but I just want to do that again in regards to Huber. I think you've become a very good critical review writer. I can clearly see improvement. Congrats.
This game is filled with so many tiny details that other developers and games don't bother with at all. It is astounding not just how much attention to detail there is in the game, but how they've managed it with the ps4's hardware and the size constraints of a 50 GB Blu-Ray disc. I am fooling people on my Facebook that think a picture of a room from uncharted 4 is my actual room. It blows my mind how people could play a game like this and not appreciate the amount of talent and work that went into the little details that on their own don't do much, but put together, add up to an experience that raises the bar for interactive storytelling.
The game is clearly a labor of love and the 2 delays were completely worth the astounding final product that constantly blows my mind. The seamless melee animation transitions and AI buddies. The most amazing moment was being grabbed by an enemy, pressing triangle to knock the enemy away and as I do that, he gets pushed back against a wall and then Sam fucking grabs the enemy and knocks his head against the wall. The transitions between all those animations looked so natural and seamless and I can't believe it. Also, the way enemies fall with momentum when punched out or shot out. This game just blows my mind.
DKC:TF was my GOTY 2014... Bloodborne claimed 2015. Chapter 4 alone in Uncharted 4 has pretty much solidified it as my GOTY for 2016. Not so much for the incredible Easter Egg they throw at you... but for everything else that chapter gave me. Chapter 4 was powerful. It affected me in ways no other game ever really has. The warm, orange glow of Nate's attic. The mementos and artifacts from past games strewn about on boxes and shelves. Postcards and letters from old friends. Even little asides like a post-it note that reads "Write Charlie Back" that you could easily miss if you don't poke around. Then going through Nate's house was just as thrilling. All the small details really sold it. Clothes and sandals laying haphazardly on the floor. The bed undone. The closet light left on. Photo albums and cameras to look through. The framed accolades in Elena's office. White spittle marks on the faucets in the bathroom. The stairs creaking if you descend slowly enough. Cereal in the recycling bin. Personal, goofy post-it notes on the fridge. A guy walking his dog outside the front door that is super easy to miss... The attention to detail is staggering. I didn't feel like I was wandering around a video game map. I felt like I was walking in a real, genuine home. What a game.
Ou my god! It's so nice to see you guys again! Just saw your "ad" video on GT's UA-cam page and hurried as fast as i could on this site. Brandon, my man - It's by far the best thing to see you back doing voice overs for reviews. Such a calm, yet professional voice should not be silenced. I also really like the design of the channel/content. In my opinion, it's a good thing you decided to go with the star rating. It has that same simple style as the channel. All in all, great design! Now excuse me, i need to check the rest of the channel! PS. Love you guys
This was excellent writing! Just enough on every topic, really goes into detail without becoming dragged out. He really conveyed his thoughts well it makes me understand his view!
OMG im so relieved to hear this guy's voice again! I just heard about the GT news today and I couldn't believe it! but Im glad his reviews will continue through this new channel. His thoughts on games are always extremely similar to mine. GT reviews used to be MY OFFICIAL REVIEW to consider when buying games. Im so relived.
finally! back to hearing a voice that doesn't feel like beep beep. Welcome back guys! WIll most definitely be sharing your page and videos. Im ok with any ads whatsoever as long as they help you earn
+Mike the Man Doom won't net a 5/5 because of its weird multiplayer. Even if the campaign is perfect, I suspect the weird CoD esque multiplayer will keep reviewers away from giving it a perfect score. This is not my opinion of how reviews should work, but I'm just saying this is how I think it's going to play out.
On one hand, I feel so sad that Gametrailers is no more. I think IGN is a good compromise and I've been going there for a while when I don't see reviews from Gametrailers on Google. But recently, someone at IGN screwed up Uncharted 4's review so badly that I started to miss the concise, thorough review that I had become accustomed to at Gametrailers. For me, Gametrailers scores had the most weight. If they told you a Game was an 8 you'd better believe it was. No matter how much hype followed other reviews. When I was in school, I used to download video reviews at a Cyber-cafe so that I could watch them when I got back to the hostel. At this point, there's something about Brandon's voice that is so nostalgic. On the bright side, You guys are here and as I guessed, your review is still the best I've watched. The name "Easy Allies" feels a bit odd, but I'm sure over time I'll get used to it. Wishing you guys all the best in this endeavor and be rest assured you have a subscriber in me for life. Cheers!
Ok fellas...this is going to sound weird and sentimental but I need to be honest. I've had a shit day. Tough transition with a new baby in the house. My gaming life has suffered immensely. I used to follow gametrailers.com RELIGIOUSLY. I've been down with gametrailers since forever (liquidjordan, check my credentials). You all let me use your forums to compelte my dissertation. Anyway, when you guys got shut down, I was hurt. I go back to gametrailers.com every day just to see if you all had posted a farewell or anything like that. It wasn't until today that I was redirected Easy Allies (again, new baby in the house. I'm not caught up on what's going on). I clicked on the review and heard Brandon's voice. I teared up. I'm so glad you guys are back. I wish you all the luck and I hope to see you at E3 in a month or so. Thank you for all you do for gaming and for 30 something gamers like me who just can't handle getting video game news, reviews, and reactions from anyone else. You are appreciated and respected. March on.
I'm playing the Uncharted series 1 through 4 for the very first time during the stay-at-home covid-19 pandemic. Nathan Drake is a making all this time in front of my PS4 a lot of fun. Be safe everyone.
+mariopartyanimal I'm with you. GT had the only reviews I cared to watch, and I enjoyed the little shows too. It was so sudden and disappointing when they got shut down. So glad they're back.
+Dave Ryan I just finished that part (not sure if there is a second one later in the game), but it was absolutely GREAT... i would have played a game like that for much longer it was so nicely done! :)
THIS is the review I was waiting for. Thank you guys for being faithful to your fans. I've been watching GT everyday since 2004 and I will continue doing so with Easy Allies.
Brandon's voice is what I hear when I want to get a game review. There is no better review than one written by you guys. Great job on this one for sure.
Woo I'm glad you gave it the score it deserves. I'm going for the plat trophy, on second playthrough now and the multiplayer will give this game much legs into the future. I got the season pass, wonder what the extra story chapter will be. Just such a great game, they all are.
Oh dear...how I miss GT review so, so, so, sooooo damn much. Fantastic review. The quality hasn't drop one bit since the departure. Amazing as always, keep up the good work!!!
The review score is a bit hard to understand since it blends in so well haha. Nice review, couldn't express how happy I am to see you guys continuing your work.
I can't say I agree with a perfect review as I have been killed a few times playing the main game because the controls weren't responding, or somehow the action was taken too late when I was trying to stealth kill and I ended up getting caught because of it. Camera angles have also always been a problem here or there in the Uncharted series, and not an endearing one, and yet there are a few of those as well. While it's clear that the flaws of the game are farther and fewer between than any of the last games, there are still a few small issues here or there, most of all, that the story is still pretty bare and rely's entirely on people knowing everything about the previous games to grasp the most important parts of the story here, which again, there is very few of. If I were the one reviewing this game, and lets face it, this is basically a short review, I'd give 4.5/5. The best parts of the previous games, even The Last of Us, that work for the game are there, but this game still isn't as good as TLoS and while that's understandable at some points, in others it's not, and the game could be better, even if only a little bit.
Relying on past games get the most important character bits and intimate moments isn't a flaw. That's like ragging on mass effect 2 or 3 or metal gear solid 4 because you have to play the previous games to get the most out of the experience.
Great to know that your awesome reviews are going to continue even after IGN's acquisition of GT. Great writing, editing, and of course the voice. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to more reviews.
Thank you so much Brandon for reconnecting me with the GT crew. Ever since you guys stopped publishing content under the GT brand, I've been feeling like a utterly lost puppy. Gametrailers.com still exists on my favourites bar and I still find myself clicking on the link as a part of my daily after work routine. I look forward to seeing more content from you guys!
+Easy Allies The rating confused me at first as well, I saw the Final Score part and thought the video was cut off at the end. Or maybe just use a number 1 through 5 score. Either way, great review! Good to see a "GT style" review back, they've always been the best.
I'm glad to have this voice telling me things again
Brandon jones is a god
i felt that on a spiritual level. this guy was my guru from like 2006 to 2010
So deserving of 5 stars. Beautiful game.
Still holds up 5 years later.
Jesus Christ its so good to hear this voice again
I've always complimented GT for their top notch pen for their shows and especially the reviews, but I just want to do that again in regards to Huber. I think you've become a very good critical review writer. I can clearly see improvement. Congrats.
Huber's voice: "CULMINATION!"
hahaha I can hear it now :)

What a game.
Huber writing hype. Dude has really grown as a writer.
Instantly subscribed to hear this voice from the heavens tell me about which video games are good or bad and why.
Daym, I didnt know gametrailers got new channel. Was so good to hear this voice again. Insta sub
God I missed you guys!
Had I known you had a new channel, I'd have been here a lot sooner.
I hope you become even bigger.
Ou my god! It's so nice to see you guys again! Just saw your "ad" video on GT's UA-cam page and hurried as fast as i could on this site.

Just leaving the office and this notification popped up. What a way to start the weekend!

NICE! I'm glad EZA isn't afraid to give a perfect score, unlike GT.
Brandons review voice brings a tear to my eye ;_;
for many it makes thier dicks hard af
Same here. This is the first time I see this channel and I immediately recognized his voice!
+3limalik It makes you hard? :/
Liking the new reviews. Definitely keeping up the quality I was used to from you guys at GT before.
Just finished the Nathan Drake collection. So pumped to finally play this. It looks absolutely spectacular.
First gt/ easy allies perfect score?
+sgt stickey bloodbourne
NEETisLEET That wasn't a real review it was a joke re score.
sgt stickey i doubt it more like gametrailers was closing and they knew they wouldnt be able to do reviews anymore so they redid bloodbourne
+sgt stickey bloodborne being a 10 is not a joke
kbm noctis The actual score was 9.6 in their actual review. They just uploaded the fixed version as ian thought the game was great.
I am BEYOND thrilled to see that you guys are still doing reviews, and they're just as fantastic as they were all those months ago, keep it up please!
It is have been such a long time, since I heard Brandon voice in a review. Feels so good.
Greatness from small beginnings
I wonder what noise Bloodworth made when he saw Uncharted 4's score...
Probably a melodic "uhh"
finally! back to hearing a voice that doesn't feel like beep beep. Welcome back guys! WIll most definitely be sharing your page and videos. Im ok with any ads whatsoever as long as they help you earn
EZA's first 5 Stars!!!!!
+Summer Sonic Totally deserving too, the whole Act 1 of the game is incredible
this is going to be a year of 5s huh. persona 5 next.
At the very end, the stars that signify the final score should turn gold.
Some people see all these stars blending in and out and can't tell properly.
On one hand, I feel so sad that Gametrailers is no more. I think IGN is a good compromise and I've been going there for a while when I don't see reviews from Gametrailers on Google. I'm doing exactly the same lol half through uncharted 1, uncharted lost legacy is worth a play through as well
You know its good when Microsoft big wigs are calling Sony big wigs and congratulating them on a great all around game
God damn its good to have the old GT team reviewing again. I couldnt stand watching IGN's reviews for the last 3 months.
+mariopartyanimal I'm with you. GT had the only reviews I cared to watch, and I enjoyed the little shows too. It was so sudden and disappointing when they got shut down. So glad they're back.
Is there a lot of that scuba salvaging? I don't think I've ever had fun being underwater in a videogame.
+Dave Ryan No,but underwater movement are surprisingly natural and easy to control
+Dave Ryan I just finished that part (not sure if there is a second one later in the game), but it was absolutely GREAT... i would have played a game like that for much longer it was so nicely done! :)
THIS is the review I was waiting for. Thank you guys for being faithful to your fans. I've been watching GT everyday since 2004 and I will continue doing so with Easy Allies.
difference in frame-rate during multiplayer? MP looked like 60fps. SP 30fps
Good to hear your voice again, Brandon! Good to see the rest of the crew is still together, this makes me really happy.
Brandon's voice is what I hear when I want to get a game review. There is no better review than one written by you guys. Great job on this one for sure.

HYYPE!! 5 stars! Great review Huber
I've bought 2 Uncharted 4 Avatar packs because this series is so great, I never waste money on that kinda thing but I have for this beautiful game.
Glad to see you guys back. You had the best video reviews back at Gametrailers.
Glad to hear Brandon Jones voice in a review again. ^_^
THIS VOICE. absolutely my favorite review voice
your guys' review just came out right when i was about to start playing the game!
i wonder what sound Blood made after seeing the score
Oh dear...how I miss GT review so, so, so, sooooo damn much. Fantastic review. The quality hasn't drop one bit since the departure. Amazing as always, keep up the good work!!!
game trailers?
***** i did! thanks for the great content
Amazing review. Missed them so much. Totally worth watching to finalize game buying decision.
Please make a review for the new doom game
+Easy Allies I heard on IGN's Beyond podcast that no one was :|
+Easy Allies thanks!!!
This game is so, so special to me. If I'm having a hard time in life I like playing this, it just makes me feel good
Great review!!! Always watched GT reviews before, so nice to see you guys are back !
The review score is a bit hard to understand since it blends in so well haha. Nice review, couldn't express how happy I am to see you guys continuing your work.
Thanks for being back guys! Missed you!
Yep, definitely need to pick this up soon.
You guys do the best reviews of Games period ......... glad your back
Glad to see the 5/5 being dropped at EZA.
I'm so glad I found this channel. GT reviews were always the best.
So happy to see reviews from these guys again
I missed who wrote the review, but then I heard the word "culmination." It's Huber, I don't even have to check.
How you know it's a Michael Huber review: "Culmination."
+Kizaru RIGHT?!
My god so good to hear that voice again coupled with great reviews!!
Just finished this game I can't believe it's this old. Looks and plays amazing still. Wish it was 60FPS tho!
The most detailed and objective video game reviews are back!
Thanks, guys!
OH MY GOD!! The Gametrailers voice, I'm so glad to hear it again.
Huber didn't disappoint.
What an incredible piece of art.
Aha... Finally found the new home of the old GameTrailers crew. World class reviews. Thanks guys
Finaly! The best reviews on the internet are back. Along with the best voice ;)
No more decimal point score as well ha? I give this review a 7.9
So happy you're back.
Fantastic review! Felt nostalgic to hear Brandon's voice again
Bloodworth is spinning in his grave
+Easy Allies Can any of you read Japanese? I'd love to see an Early Review of Persona 5.
I didn't know the GT crew were still putting out content! This is great; I've always appreciated the work you guys do.
best game of this generation.
So glad you guys are back!
This is an amazing game movie video!! Great storytelling in 1-4!! my vote for this game is 10/10!! Love, love all the main characters!!
I can't say I agree with a perfect review as I have been killed a few times playing the main game because the controls weren't responding, or somehow the action was taken too late when I was trying to stealth kill and I ended up getting caught because of it. That's just how it is in story driven series
"sintimani stone"
Come on, Brandon. It's "CHINtimani Stone"
That's what I was thinking when he said that.
Lol get on him! I was thinking the same thing.
I love that you guys keep making videos :)
Good to know that you guys are back!! lml
Damn your voice Brandon is gold. Subscribed! Hope you can get a kinda funny crossover podcast or video production.
Replaying it on PC what a fantastic game.
This is still one of my favorite games this generation
It;s good to hear your voice again Brandon
Yes !!!!! I loved GT and I am so happy to see this style of review back :) You got my sub sir :)
Great to know that your awesome reviews are going to continue even after IGN's acquisition of GT. Great writing, editing, and of course the voice. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to more reviews.
Great review guys!
Love that voice from GT. BRAVO, great review!
One thing already better than GT: quality of videos YEAH!!!!
This game looks beautiful!
just wanted to say thank you for bringing Brandon Jones' sweet, sweet narration back into my life
great review guys, well put together! looking forward to the doom review
Great Review! What did Easy Allies think of the final boss (without posting spoilers of course), were you satisfied?
A system rating on 10 instead of 5 stars would be better to gauge a game dont you think?
This is still the best game I’ve played
No review score anymore? :(
+Easy Allies The rating confused me at first as well, I saw the Final Score part and thought the video was cut off at the end. I don't mind the star rating system, but maybe make them a different color/outline and pop up one by one so we can tell more easily that the stars are the rating. Or maybe just use a number 1 through 5 score. Either way, great review! Good to see a "GT style" review back, they've always been the best.
LordKohaegan
Totally agree, GT easily had the best reviews on youtube, and now Easy Allies does
+LordKohaegan thats what i was thinking. maybe swap the colours. White shows up much better as stars.
Didn't know how much I'd miss that voice
a well done review for a perfect game
The best video game reviews are back!!!!
