- The beautiful, funny and talented Madeline Kahn performing "Ain't Got No Home". Originally done by Clarence "Frogman" Henry. We miss Madeline Kahn, it's twue it's twue ...
Was there anything that lady couldn't do?
We love you, Madeline; you left us too soon.
A wonderful talent who left us too soon.
Arguably one of the greatest comedienne actresses ever!
"You men are all alike. Seven or eight quick ones and you're off with the boys to boast and brag. You better keep ya mouth shut!!"
guyfroml Love her in "Paper Moon."
"I'm tired ..." "They're always coming and going and going and coming, and always too soon" "You in show business cowboy? well get your f*°^×~g feet off the stage." "Is it twoo what they say about you people? Oh- it's twoo it's twoo."
I am so sad that I live my adult life in a world without Madeline Kahn....I was too young to appreciate her in her heyday, and only recently discovered her truly wonderful talent!
I love me some Madeline Khan. From Young Frankenstein to the last Cosby show, she was hilarious.
Still miss her and absolutely loved her !!
Been crushing on Madeline since forever!! Beautiful, talented, intelligent, classy. That rarely happens - especially these days.
There is never enough Madeline on the net, thank you!
She was the epithomy of class, funny, talented....never enough of her
Did she pass on, or is she still living???
@@ceerstar851 she passed a few years ago
1999.
I still miss her so much. She's one of those performers that when they come to mind, it pains that they are gone.
Wonderful they really don't make entertainers like this anymore. RIP Maddie x
What a straight face singing a lonely frog. !! She is the BEST EVER.
SO UNDER APPRECIATED. 🎶
BUT oh what a voice.
M. Elgin. Illinois
she was a true talent!
Yup! She sang Das Chicago Song right before this one. I believe the special was called "Love Laughs" on Lifetime, hosted by Teri Garr, and there were other women comedians on it. I have it somewhere on a VHS tape. There is a video of her singing this song on SNL too (I found it on vimeo).
What a treat she was to hear her sing! Amazing! 👌👍
Fabulous! Classic song by a classic lady.
What a voice. I'm still not used to it sometimes. That was Teri Garr at the end !!
She was fantastic! Beauty and funny! She sang great!
This is the first time I heard of her, and she's good...my mother use to sing some of this song to me, esp the part that said, "I'm a lonely frog, I ain't got a home"...now, I sing it to my kids...👍✌
So many talents, and looking so easy with it all. Every good thing to be an adored entertainer. Sad sad loss. 😢💗🌹
Awesome!! This Lady's GOT IT ALL!! Great Looks, Great Voice, Outstanding Sense Of Humor, And A STUNNING PRESENCE!!! THE TOTAL PACKAGE!!!
yes she does
I too remember seeing her do this on SNL and cracked up! Was glad to find this version too! THANKS!! I downloaded the original artist version, but cant get this out of my head....
OMG, I never knew Madeline Kahn covered this great oldie. My Dad had the 78 of the original and it always cracked me up. She was so beautiful and funny. RIP 💐
Glad you enjoyed it
Love it, love it, love it. Good ringtone in there. Makes me think of Andy Kaufman. Miss em both. Thanks for a great post!
Thanks so much for sharing! I've been looking for video of Madeline performing this on SNL forever. What a treat!
So much beauty, intelligence and talent,,,and you just sense her inner beauty with everything she does. Watch how she almost literally lights up when Teri Garr comes out to greet her. Pure class!
I remember this amazing performance. Such talent!
THANK YOU! Fabulous! I had never seen this! Madeline Kahn and Judy Holliday were in a class all by themselves!!
Genius....that is all that needs to be said about Madeline!
This deserved a standing ovation!!
Ah, Madeline Kahn..... Beauty and talent to match. This is one of the best things on UA-cam.
I dig the vibraphonist with the fez, too. Nice touch......
Love this lady's work. Great at whatever she did.
She is a hoot. What a delightful evening it would be. Who needs wine when ya got Madelyn. ! 🌟

I just loved her and this is the first time I have seen this! Thank you!
It is so nice to see all the great positive comments for Ms Kahn. Thank you and I am sure she would have loved it. I also added to my channel The Chicago Song that some asked about and I hope you have seen it. Thanks everybody.

Madeline always puts a smile on your face.

Too funny! Madeline Kahn was great! Her talent is missed!
This was a great performance and I loved Madeline Kahn in "Paper Moon". What a talent! 2/2018
A young black man from the South, an amphibious creature near a pond... is there anything Ms. Kahn can't do?!
Madeline was brilliantly bizarre! Such a wonderfully talented lady!
Wow, in all these years of loving Madeline, I never knew she had the BLUES! Not to mention that croak...Kermit, watch out! What a versatile, beautiful, wonderful woman.
I woke up singing this song on a very personally sad Thanksgiving. I decided to perk myself up and play Clarence the Frogman Henry’s original version. I found this. We share the same birthday and the female cancer factor. Glad to hear her in my kitchen today.
Without a doubt, one of the most talented and appealing females of the 20th century. Gone way too soon. ♥
SHE WAS VERY FUNNY ! REST HER SOUL !
Thanks for posting this.
I've heard this version of this classic song in my head off and on for a long time. Ever since it aired actually.. Almost quirky, and silly yet hauntingly beautiful.
This was from a women in comedy special on Lifetime in the mid-1990’s. I too love this version so much!
still..after all these years..I love her.
she's smokin' d' good shi'
Too much! I haven't laughed so hard in so long!
gosh she was so awesome.
Terrific talent
What a great talent.
She was great ! R.I.P. Honey !
That was just GREAT !
Simply adorable
She's fantastic !
First saw her in "Paper Moon" and loved her ever since. A brilliant actor.
I love the look on her face, right after 2:35, when she goes from frog to soprano.
Madeline was just so multi talented and funny. RIP 😊
Didn't think anyone but Clarence "Frogman" Henry could sing this! Glad to be proven wrong.
good stuff, Madeline is talented & funny
She killed it.
Madeleine is the definition of comedienne!
Ms. Kahn was HILARIOUS in Clarence Henry"s "Ain't got no home, " as featured in the movie "Lost Boys." Also, a two-minute performance by Ms. Kahn in the movie "Paper Moon" ("How 'bout you let Ms. Trixie set up front with her big tits?") was so powerful, she received an Oscar nomination. She was an underrated and underappreciated talent during her lifetime.
"Well now, ain't you a show dog!" (Paper Moon) And she has to "winkie tinkie" (was that phrase she used? Been a while)
Perhaps the script writer deserves as much credit for those lines and for creating such a typical floosy (as they used to be called) prostitute role.
We miss u Madeline Kahn!
Should be over a million views
Loved this....laughed out loud
I always have loved her I hate cancer..
Me too. Lost Laura Nyro to Ovarian cancer too. And Gilda Radner. All gone too soon.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a talent--- miss you you baby
A truly brilliant talent.
What a hot shit, I love how she did it exactly like the original. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.
Simply brilliant.
I seen them in concert twice!! Both shows were just like this video.. Same vibe and everythinh
She was a complete package and complete performer on the level of Carol Burnett and Lucille Ball. She could do it all. Underrated and very much missed.
Multifaceted multi-talented and extremely beautiful we all miss her
She wasn't known as a singer. But she was no slouch!! Didn't need to be dubbed, Madeline Kahn. R.I.P. You are so missed.
When she was young she had considerable professional voice training and contemplated becoming an opera singer.
Just classic - lot's of fun!
This is GREAT!! FYI. listen to the original Clarence Henry New Orleans version...RIP, Miss Madeline.
God, she was funny and talented. Her legacy: she made us laugh, and then laugh some more.
Wow, fantastic
Love it
There was nothing this Godly made talent of an incredible woman couldn't do. Beauty, grace, immensely talented and an incredible voice.
Madeline the void you left can never be replaced.
Rest in God's grace.
That was awesome
I miss Madeline Kahn . . . it's twue, it's twue!
