Best investment i made for my 06 was an edge insight CTS2 digital gauges. Add an EGT prob and you will be set. I couple mine with EFI Live tune from ppei, a boost fooler, and a modded waste gate to give me all the boosts :)

Truck sounds good. Not crazy loud like a straight pipe and not too quiet, I think that muffler is the perfect medium.

Own a 2017 ram 2500 with the g56 manual pulled the baffle out of the intake tube and you can hear the turbo when it's making 2 pounds of boost I love it
How does your 2017 have a g56 if they stopped making them in 2014? I really wish my 2011 had a G56.

I put a 4" on my 05 no cat no muffler I lowered my EGT'S by 200 and improved my fuel economy by 2.7 mpg
I’m unsure if you have to tune your air intake and exhaust or if you can run it without a tune no problem

It will because it's easier to push the exhaust out of the pipe the easier air enters or exit will improve mpg its not alot but its something
Nice set up! TAKE OFF PRE FILTER, IT IS SUFFOCATING YOUR INTAKE BY 40-50%! Your filter alone will keep dust particles from entering your turbo inlet brother! For the life of your truck take it off..... it will be big difference from having it on.. your truck will love you for it..
While I don't personally agree with having black smoke jet out from the back I do love the sound especially from the turbo.... It's this channel that got me interested with diesel trucks in the first place... They just have that tone that no gas engine could ever hope to beat... If I ever get a diesel I'll definitely hit you up and we could cruise through town with some loud ass trucks.

Ive got the same year truck, and was told the OEM was designed the best
it depends. the stock filter is good. try to stay away from cheap intakes that are essentially just a tube with a cone filter, they make the turbo louder but they are junk and should be called a hot air intake. the stock air box and nicer intakes like a banks or S&B is the way to go.

*the only way you "roll coal" is by dumping fuel and as expensive as Diesel fuel is if you can afford to waste it like that good on ya but I actually like the 28.6 MPG i get out of mine so i think i'll pass on these mods at least for now, my 06 has 170K miles on it so it's got a whole life time of driving before i catch up to you yet. as for hearing the turbo mine still has the silencer ring in it but i can still hear my turbo clearly going down the road. i don't even turn the radio on most days because the turbo is just to satisfying to listen to. also if you want to keep your fuel system cleaned out every other tank of fuel dump in a whole can of Seafoam with the fuel at fill up. it will help keep your injectors all clean and running like they should and it's a good cheap precautionary measure that will help you out so much later. the stuff is incredible*

Build the transmission before building any power if ya can! Especially with that many miles....
The previous owner said he had some work done to it, I’m guessing rebuilt to factory spec, But that’s what I’m definitely looking into right now. I definitely want to get a better transmission pan and probably a BD valve body for starters.

My 05 sounds just like that. All I did was put a muffler delete on it. Left the resonator on it. Same sound.

Driving with the parking brake on! Seemed to be sluggish, i see why!
The light has been on since I bought it, along with the ABS light. They turn on and off randomly, a lot of the truck’s in dash wiring is burnt due to a bad aftermarket radio install by the previous owner.

@@davidcasanova1839 Probably a bad ABS connection. Check your ABS connection would be where I would start. I had to change my front wheel hubs and the ABS light came on. Reconnected it and the light went away.

Sony Gruntt let me help out. His truck is either an 03,04,05 telling from the front end. So I know definitely it’s a 5.9 just from looking at the front end. Mid 2007 is when they switched to 6.7. So some 07s have the 5.9 and some have the 6.7. But his doesn’t have the 06-09 front end his has the 03-05 so I knew right away it was a 5.9. Then you see under that hood and all that and you can tell if you know anything about them. But yes his is a 5.9 haha
