Hi just wondering if you have sold the Ohlins and returned to stock coilovers instead, rmb watching your earlier video that you just purchased Ohlins DFV
Great video! What would you say are your 3 top mods for the GR Yaris ranked by the improvement on performance? I would think tires / wheels, springs and shifter?
Hi Franz, You get a great car!! I’m planning to go to Japan and rental the GR Yaris to experience it, but one thing holding me up that was trunk space. My girlfriend and me maybe have 3 checked luggage and 1 carry on. Is that possible that you can tell me how tall and width after the seat folded down? As well as the how deep from tail to front seat. I look through all video on UA-cam, seems only your video can give me some hints…
you can fold the seats down for more space but it entirely depends on how large your luggages are. Since there's only 2 of you, I think your luggages would fit fine with the seats folded down.
Hey Franz, I’m thinking about changing my wheel and tyre setup to same or similar specs as yours. Do you think if your car was lower it would have any clearance issues from tyre to fender? I track my car a lot so want to maintain good clearance. Thanks!
If your purpose is pure performance and heavy track use, I recommend you go for a 255/35/18 instead. The set up I have is the slowest of the bunch due to it having the tallest diiameter among the tire options. 😁
@@FranzGaw you’d be surprised how little the roll out effects these modern turbocharged cars. Even myself and friends previous ZC33S, stock tyres were 195/45 and we tried every size up to 235/45 with no discernible difference in performance. If anything the larger diameter rolled the boost on more aggressively. I’m noticing the same thing with the yaris, where im running 265/35 and my friend is running 255/40 (A050 which is a very large make already), and again there is no discernible difference. He nets higher terminal speeds than I do; on Tuesday night at SMSP I was seeing 206 on GPS but he was seeing 211. I don’t think the 245/40 will pose an issue, it’s definitely smaller diameter than 255/40! The real concern for me is clearance as I’ve already worn through my plastic liners :( I need that little bit less
Oh wow! Your friend is running 255/40/18 on a GR Yaris?? That is BIG! Hahaha. In terms of clearance, the 245/40/18 fits perfect on the car. Next step is getting the right offset for the wheels and negative camber so you prevent rubbing. My wheels are 18x9 +32.
I think with the right camber it wouldnt. I still have to test it myself but String Theory Garage demo car uses the exact same specs and they push theirs hard at the track.

The car looks great! Glad you are happy with our kit.
Thanks for the quick response on Instagram as well. Kudos to the STG team. 👍
