    I actually have the g213 and to the untrained eye it's a flex. (I paired it with the g502 mouse and the g553 headphones for the setup)
    I know that it's all opinion based, but it's a little bias to not mention that the g213 also has access to editing the RGB through the app "logitech gaming software" and "overwolf" which you can download easily. It works for my headphones and mouse so it's a really nice way to check on everything.
    FInally, I'd like to say that the g213 is not an eyesore compared to the cooler master. If you prefer having blazing lights like that then choose it, but i prefer the more low key lighting because it won't take away my concentration from the games I'm trying to play.

    I like the G213 because the lighting is only going through the key legends and the membrane keys feel not to bad for a membrane keyboard.

    People keep saying that to get mechanical keyboards, that prices are similar, yadda yadda. But honestly, plenty people from other countries can enjoy those as well.
    Here where I live the price difference between those keyboards listed is ENORMOUS and the difference between those and a decent mechanical keyboard is also scary!
    I came to this video to check if that price difference would be worth in my case. G213 is at 140 (free shipping), K55 is at 230 (with shipping), MasterSet 121 can't be found and Cynosa Chroma is 315 (free shipping). Decent mechanical ones are around 300 and up, so the only one anywhere close to it would be the Cynosa.
    With the review I saw that while the G213 may be the more "meh" of the group, for the current price I can find that it's actually very nice! So I'll prolly go with it :)
    Thanks for the reviews, man!

    Definitely like cooler master the most. Love the minimalist design and the fact it's so well built and probably the closest one can get to a mechanical keyboard without it actually being one, at least right now. The lighting is also pretty nice (: personally don't care much for macros, so the k55 really looses it's appeal because of the keys.
    Cooler master's definitely at the top of my list, when i can get a keyboard.

    If the most of the review focuses on lights and sound of the keyboard, I don't consider it to be a real review of a keyboard. I would like to know how fast you can type with them and how long can you use them before your start to feel uncomfortable. You can see those light patters on any commercial, but these things you will not. For example I would have liked to know how annoying those macro buttons of K55 were. Does it take some time to get used to them? How easy it's to shut the light when you go to sleep and so on. Practical things, which actually matters when you are using it.

    brainbean! can you make a video on the difference between laser 5g and optical 5g mice??

    • @dnd6379
      @dnd6379 6 років тому

      the difference is that laser sensors MAY have mouse acceleration (the faster you move the mouse the faster the cursor on-screen moves, but only MAY, that doesnt mean they do, i tested g403 which has a laser sensor but acceleration is non existent), meanwhile optical mice has NO acceleration, but they cant be used on some surfaces meanwhile laser mice can, as long as the surface is smooth you can use laser mouse on it while you need a dark surface for better tracking on optical mice (a surface that absorbs light, cloths or hard maths are the best, you can use optical mices on glass or similar surfaces that reflect light and DOESNT absord them), thats pretty much it otherwise just look for a sensors thats atleast a pmw 3310 (zowie fk2 for example, the deathadder elite (I think the lancehead tournament uses the same sensor if i remember correctly) atm has the most advanced sensor but it doesnt mean that a lesser sensor like the 3310 will perform worse, its more up to the design of the mouse and the person using it over the laser, as long as its an accurate sensor its gonna work), do note though that the g403 has too small of mice feet so you can feel the drag, i tested this on 2 different g403 and it was the same, it drags so I highly dont suggest picking up a g403 or any mice with similar feet. I got myself the deathadder elite and gigantus (razer mousepad) and its sooo smooth to use and the mouse is really well shaped, just fits in the hand almost perfectly. I recommend you check rocketjumpninja on youtube for the best mouse recommendation, he also has his own site where you can check the best mouse for the size and type of grip that you use while handling mice. Good luck with picking one, hope i wasnt waaay to late.

    The Tecware Phantom blows all of them out the water for the stuff you get at such low cost. Like $46. And it also has mechanical switches, 18 lighting effects and minimalist design. And also not forget it has steel to make sure your keyboard doesn't break if you smash it with your first just because your team sucks.

    My first gaming keyboard was the Corsair K55 and I returned it the next day. Num lock and Caps lock would trip out. The Razer Cynosa felt too cheap. I bit the bullet and spit out extra cash to buy the Logitech G512 SE for home and the G213 Prodigy for work. I will say that I like the Prodigy keyboard the most. Its tactile yet quiet. I like the dedicated media keys which if the g512 SE had would have made it the perfect keyboard.

    Hey Brainbean, nice vid. BTW, I have a question: What is the difference between the Razer Cynosa and the Razer Cynoza Chroma? And is it the same as any Chroma vs non Chroma?

    • @spencercarruth9706
      @spencercarruth9706 6 років тому +1

      There are only 2 Cynosa models: Cynosa Chroma or Chroma Pro. The only differences between the two is a 24 zone light bar on the Pro, which tacks on $20 to the price. I would recommend skipping the Pro and just going for the base Cynosa Chroma.

  • @99xara99
    @99xara99 5 років тому +1

    I don't really like the look of exposed keys, but I prefer the K55's sound before the G213's (K55 seems much less loud). I absolutely need Media Keys so the Coolermaster & Razer are out (they're also more expensive than the other 2 at this point). I'm ordering the G213 and the K55 to compare because I can't decide. I know you said the Logitech isn't great but to me it looks best and I don't really mind any of the "disadvantages" (which aren't such for me) 🤷

    • @99xara99
      @99xara99 5 років тому +4

      So I finally decided to keep the Logitech. It was a very tough decision though. I thought the Corsair's wrist wrest looked better, but the Logitech makes it easier to read the letters because they are lit pretty brightly, while the Corsair is brighter between the keys, which is a little distracting and not as pretty. Also the 5 areas on the logitech just look much smoother. And its media keys are lit, other than the Corsair's. And then I also prefered to just have the arrows on the shift, caps lock and enter keys rather than having "shift" etc. written on it with the German layout, the logitech has arrows but the Corsair has words).

    8:08 There are METAL SPRINGS inside the Cooler Master MasterSet 121, it's not a real membrane.
    An other thing: the Cynosa keycaps are not just flat, or vertical like the classic keycaps, their design gives touchable diagonal sides which are great for typing because those sides help the fingers to center better the keys, instead of just tapping them vertically.

    • @Brainbean
      @Brainbean  6 років тому +1

      M M Piero the masterset does have springs but there are rubber domes under them just like any other membrane keyboard.

    • @mmpiero
      @mmpiero 6 років тому

      Ok, but from my point of view it's like a Topre switch, which is considered mechanical. Those switches have even 2 metal springs each, CoolerMaster says it's mechamembrane but grants +50 million taps on those switches, which is quite odd for a membrane. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying that CM MasterSet is *special*

    • @numairsalmalin3552

      don't buy a board with clicky switches. tactile switches are meant to feel like clickies, but without such an audible click. linears have no click to speak of so they tend to be much quieter (especially if you don't bottom out). you can also find silent switches. Cherry MX zilents, zeal zilents, healios, etc all are very quiet. the only thing with these switches is that they're not sold in a premade board so you have to solder them in, and some are modded switches so you cant buy them outright, you have to Frankenstein them together
