I watched my Mom totally lose herself as she mothered me and my brother. When we moved out she was depressed and did nothing unless it was with me or my brother. She’s now 80 and still struggles. I made sure I continued doing things for me! I have a joy list. It’s 10 things I can do while alone that I enjoy doing: crochet, walking pups, playing piano, lifting weights, read, watching a movie, etc. It’s so easy to lose yourself because you feel you have to do everything for your family.
That was me when my son moved out and my daughter started working full time. I wailed and cried. I'm ok now but we mamas do pour ourselves into our little ones. I have no regrets
My mom is the same way. (I moved 5 hrs away from where I grew up) We went to dinner at my in laws house last night because my parents are here visiting and my mom said “She doesn’t understand how upset I am. I never moved away from my mother” …. Like I understand you’re sad but you’re an adult and I’m an adult. You need to figure out other things that bring you joy.
I LOVE my Peloton! I use it almost every day. Yes there is the initial investment of the bike (or tread) and weights, but then the monthly fee is way less than the cost of most gym memberships (especially for two of you)! The way you can find exactly the workout you want/need/have time for is priceless! Great diversity of classes and all the instructors are great, too! 😊 (unsponsored, haha)!!
With our first kids, I always just worked out with my babies right there in the family room with me, with no equipment except some dumbbells and using my own body weight. I never give baby gifts under size 6 months. With the smaller sizes, sometimes parents don't realize how fast they will grow out of them and so many people give smaller infant sizes so they end up never getting to be worn. Your dad is awesome! He's so very talented and so funny. Good man!
Girl bite the bullet and get the treadmill. I was the same way but once I finally purchased mine it has been a life changer. I can get my run in whenever it is convenient to me! I bought from the company SOLE, they are priced very well and they have lifetime warranties. Their treadmills really stand the test of time, I've had mine since 2013 and I run about 200 miles on it every month and it has not broken down once! It really is an investment for your physical and mental health. Also with the company SOLE you don't have to pay a monthly fee to use it.
That’s great! But most pediatricians recommend waiting until baby is 6 months and up to date on vaccines to go out in such public places. It sucks thiugh 😂😢
Peloton was one of my best purchases of my life! I often go on it and pedal on a scenic open road and just read my kindle for an hour and I passively burn over 300 calories! The classes are great too and it’s not just biking they have yoga, weight lifting etc. 💞💞also I know you’re super busy so you can just pop on for 20 or 30 minute class! Xo
Talk about a blow to the ego after my first baby. The first time he ever laughed out loud was when I had him in the bathroom with me so I could shower. As soon as I got undressed, he started laughing. One part of me was so excited he laughed and how cute it was, and the other part of me started sobbing, thinking, "OMG I must look that bad!" Like an infant would know the difference lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My husband and I love our Peloton! We got it in 2022 and use it faithfully. Cycling, classes for weightlifting, yoga, stretching, etc. You can use it away from home for a run, walk, etc. Right now my husband is doing the Ski Preparation Classes for strength and agility. I highly recommend.
Hi Clancy- I would reconsider folding clean laundry on the floor. Between your pup and the germs from shoes, you may be exposing your clean clothes to a lot.
the monthly membership is the real experience of taking the classes and having online community. you will miss your burn boot camp and you will be consistent with taking classes so I believe it will be worth it.
i just got a walking pad and LOVE IT!!! especially for the winter and rainy weather! i think if u get a treadmill u would love it too bc its so nice to read on it or listen to music/podcast and then decker can be close by!
So 2 things here.. First off, congratulations Carly!!! And second, I got the Tatcha sample set for my birthday after seeing you mention it and I’ve been hooked ever since. Totally worth the price for me (some girls I know have bought it after asking me what I use). Let us know about the serum because I’m intrigued. Hopefully one day Tatcha will sponsor your videos.
I have a Peloton bike and pay the $40 a month. That's a gym membership and during the summer months, I cancelled my membership because I walked outside. Love my Peloton bike.
Those pjs are the best! They are so flattering on you and it actually looks like an outfit that you could go out in! Very flattering on you! Also, on tiktok (it may just be for today) that alo sweat set is half off! You can get to sets for like $89!😮
I bought a regular treadmill and use the peloton app on my phone! You could use the saved money for a lot of other gym equipment unless you want to exclusively do peloton walks/runs. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to do my own thing :)
I wish I could do carpentry like your dad. It would make me happy too changing things up myself and not having to depend on someone else. It's hard to get good people to even show up these days.
Girl we just bought some exercise equipment from amazon. Bike and eliptical. For 900 dolars. We checked Dicks as well. But was not happy with price. We always can upgrade later if we end up using it as much as we hope.
Take it from a great grandma, you can never have too many printed pictures!! No one is going to sit down and scroll through years of photos on the phone or laptop. But they will sit with a photo album and reminisce:) You should have contacted Peleton to see if they wanted to do a sponsorship with you.
My husband and I took our 2 girls (ages 8 and 10) to Ireland from Michigan in September and we had a blast! My husband wants to move there now 😂 Also, my girls had a sleepover at my in laws last night and hubby and I went out to dinner. I still wonder what they're doing and think of them most of the time I'm not with them!
Awww Congrats Carly! Carlie...idk how to spell her name but April baby - Awh!!! Deck & her little will be the bestest of buddies!!! PS Tom is HILARIOUS!! $480 a year for a bike you already spent tons on - eeek idk if I could pull that trigger either. I know it's interactive and live classes etc... 🤷 I keep hearing rave reviews about alo stuffs hmm.... I LOVE a good sephora sale - YES samples are fantastic but they suck me in too 😂
clancy this is so weird but i had a dream last night that i met you on the street in nyc! i was so happy and was telling you how i have followed you for like 10 years and happened to stumble upon your picture on the wall when i was visiting my friend at marist (true)
Having workout equipment at home with a little one is SO worth the investment! As someone who thrives with a consistent workout routine and it has 100% saved my mental sanity! I have put on thousands of miles on my bike and treadmill between my last two babies.
I do laundry every two to three days to have smaller loads. I do not use the dishwasher bc emptying it is the WORST. So I hand wash. Laundry folding same thing it is the worst I’d rather folded small loads than huge ones
Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas 🎄 loved the cute instagram pictures ❤ so fun to see the Tom cameo in the vlog ❤ take care and see you next year 😊

Wow that’s amazing and such good advice - thank you!! I’ll have to come up with a list of my own!
No Peloton. Not needed to have a monthly subscription. No need just a phase.
Peloton is Good if you have money to pay for it.

OMG AHHH CONGRATS TO CARLY!!! that’s gonna be awesome to have ur kids in the same grade to!!! they’re gonna be such good friends aw
Clancy: you have a grandson
Tom, with the most enthusiasm and love I have ever heard him use: Asher!! 😊😍
That was my favorite part! 😂🩵🐕

Happy Saturday, Clancy! And Happy belated Christmas!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀🌌💙💙💙💙💙💙❄🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖❄⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍.

As a Burn employee we sanitize everything and babies are kept in a separate area. Prioritize yourself! That is so important as well!!
That’s great! But most pediatricians recommend waiting until baby is 6 months and up to date on vaccines to go out in such public places. It sucks thiugh 😂😢
@@stephdcc788what did ppl do before doctors?

totally agree
I am really proud of you for figuring that out so early, it took me way longer to!
i think you should make the basement into a gym and hangout room! as a teen i love having a hangout space in my basement!

HAHAHA that’s hilarious 😂😂😂

Ahh that sounds awesome!!! Is the app part of the monthly fee you already pay or is that separate?
@@ClancyBurkeX It's part of your monthly subscription and there are so many classes!

Yes!!!

I second a walking pad. I received one as a gift and I love it! I walk everyday and it helps me reach my step goals.
Yes! Only $100 on Amazon and can fit under a desk or anywhere
Allllllright Clancy….I am taking the plunge and going to trust you that the AG1 doesn’t taste horrible. Just ordered it…..nervous 😮
Happy New Year Clancy and family! Great vlog, as always! Congrats, Carly and Hubby!
Happy New Year to you and your family, too!! 🥰
i just got a walking pad and LOVE IT!!! especially for the winter and rainy weather! i think if u get a treadmill u would love it too bc its so nice to read on it or listen to music/podcast and then decker can be close by!
A walking pad from Deerrun is budget friendly. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but gets the job done.
I like that the walking pads are smaller and easier to store and move if needed :) Plus use it at my desk while working.
Omg congrats Carly! And Tom! I personally love his sarcastic personality lol
So 2 things here.. First off, congratulations Carly!!! And second, I got the Tatcha sample set for my birthday after seeing you mention it and I’ve been hooked ever since. Clancy and Zac happy new year to you and your family and congrats Carly and her husband
I hope we get the Christmas gift exchange video!!!
Good morning Clancy, you look perfect after having Decker ❤
Aww thank you!!
You use to love pickleball too. I’m sure you’ll get back into that again:)
Love the new shape of the nails you bought.
YAYYYYYYYY for Carlie! ❤
your dad is hilarious and amazing lol
Walking pads are great , i use when it gets below 5 degrees c in Ireland 🇮🇪
I have a Peloton bike and pay the $40 a month. That's a gym membership and during the summer months, I cancelled my membership because I walked outside. Love my Peloton bike.
Are there used treadmills?
YES well I live in Indiana - there's several places to pick up used equipment :) Good idea!!
I was expecting Baby's 1st Christmas video. 😊
Blessings in all your projects.
She probably videos ahead. My guess is it will be coming.
Carly being pregnant 🥹 yayy
I was watching the Wizard of Oz this weekend, and I noticed you look like a young Judy Garland, Clancy!
I see it too

❤. I love your dad lol I got an expensive treadmill couple years ago. After a couple weeks it looks good sitting there BUT I do use the bike.
I bought a regular treadmill and use the peloton app on my phone! You could use the saved money for a lot of other gym equipment unless you want to exclusively do peloton walks/runs. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to do my own thing :)

Home Depot offers free classes/workshops. Maybe you could consider something like that?

I love my peloton treadmill!! I don’t pay for the subscription- I just use the free walk/run setting
Hey Clancy! Would u show how u do ur press on nails please?🥰
what a coincidence i bought a treadmill today! a Spirit. No excuses, steps will be taken :)
Look into a buckleme coat for decker. It’s a car seat safe coat ❤

Yesss such a good point - I can’t wait to fill up photo album after photo album!!

Hahaha I hope I was nice in the dream!! and omg no way!! What a small world 😂❤️
Can you do a Galm Netic Nail tutorial?
Having workout equipment at home with a little one is SO worth the investment! As someone who thrives with a consistent workout routine and it has 100% saved my mental sanity! I have put on thousands of miles on my bike and treadmill between my last two babies.
Ahhh this is the testimonial I needed to hear!! haha and good for you for staying consistent! Totally agree about the mental health aspect 👏🏻
Don’t you pay monthly for burn boot camp?
So many people buy treadmills and they become coat hangers. Get one one used an save a bundle!
Pro form treadmill! You will not be disappointed. Don’t spend $$ on clubs- invest that $$ on equipment for yourself. You have the space so use it.
Yayyyy!❤❤
Hi Clancy! The volume, at least on headphones, is so low it seems
Paying for something monthly is the American Way ....go for it ! No pain no gain 🤣😂
Go look at other finished basements. I would not make the majority of it a workout area. Esp right when you walk down stairs.
I do laundry every two to three days to have smaller loads. I do not use the dishwasher bc emptying it is the WORST. So I hand wash. Laundry folding same thing it is the worst I’d rather folded small loads than huge ones
Your dishes are more sanitized when you use your dishwasher and will kill germs much better than hand washing.
$128 for a sweatshirt! 😮
I wish I could drink AG1 but it has soy 😢
Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas 🎄 loved the cute instagram pictures ❤ so fun to see the Tom cameo in the vlog ❤ take care and see you next year 😊
Merry Christmas to you too, and thank you!! ❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I feel like when we have home workout equipment we don't ending up using...it ends up collecting dust with clothes piled on top🙈
That’s what I’m afraid of!! (And happened w/ my parents’ treadmill😂)
Clancy I have finished following you because it’s all about you. You never seem to keep quiet.😊😊
I'm splurging on the y because they have child care
I absolutely love watching your content. But it is a little much that every video is being sponsored by something. :(
