Kudos especially to Jack's willingness to participate with the family and go through personal toiletries on camera--it really helps to see different ways people organize and gives me inspiration to go through my stuff.
Agreed. I have to say.. his systems for deodorant and aftershave, my boyfriend does the same thing! Says he has to keep his body guessing and it works for him.
Actually it‘s really good for the brain, too! It keeps the brain engaged and not get too used to stuff which helps with things like not getting early dementia 😊
@@mandyscribbthis is so new and interesting to me! I’ve used the same Secret baby powder scented deodorant since I was a teenager (now 54 years old) and couldn’t figure out why anyone would rotate deodorants. I guess it works for some people. 🧐
Yes, I loved it too! It gave me the idea when we redo our bathroom someday that we can get rid of our behemoth garden tub, replace it with storage like this and then we can just have pedestal sinks.
It needs to be said- their home is so incredibly beautiful! Whoever build it put a lot of thought and care into the design. It can be seen here in the bathroom- imagine getting to do your makeup in the morning in front of that beautiful natural light from those windows!!!
This family is filling the Dani-shaped hole in my heart 🥲 I’m always sad when one series comes to a close but inevitably come to love whomever you feature next! Great work, as always!
I just love how polite and well mannered both Mary and Jack are. You can tell how sincerely grateful they both are. Also, as a bit of a minimalist myself, I have to say I love Mary's back stock drawer, go figure 🥰
I love seeing you help people who have hoarding issues and extreme lack of space but it is so satisfying to see someone with an organised home just go for it - for this it’s not so much space making as it is actually decluttering and organising. You deserve some instant satisfactions after some of the more difficult tasks!
I love when everything has its place and everything is in its place. It was so satisfying to see all the categories get sorted and then stored together instead of having them in random drawers and cabinets and never knowing what you have.
I have been admiring Mary’s beautiful hair and wondering how she got her curls so defined and frizz free and this episode was perfect because I got to see what products and blow dryer she uses to do her hair so it was educational not only in an organizational sense!😆 This episode helped curly girls everywhere and now I’m inspired to reorganize my own bathroom😋.
What a beautiful bathroom. They decluttered and donated so much it’s fantastic. In Ireland our bathrooms are smaller so we wouldn’t have this much storage in a bathroom which is enviable. Both Mary and Jack are on a roll decluttering. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and peaceful 2025. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🙏💐🦮🦮
Thanks to Mary and Jack for once again opening their home for a terrific organizing video. It has been fun to see the difference between a newer younger couple expecting their first baby to an older couple just looking to declutter and rediscover what they have. These back to back series have been terrific and so well done.
Just a little jealous of all those drawers! Jack, I want you to know that I totally understand the multiple bottles of after shave you got on sale. I have some similarly acquired items. I find that if they are placed where I can see them, I am sure to use them (and not feel the need to get more). Wonderful declutter and space making Jack and Mary!
First off I want to say this sweet couple are NOT hoarders. They are like a lot of us-super busy, working, and doing life! They go to the store after a long day at work to pick up some needed groceries and see their favorite lotion on sale so they pick up two bottles. You get home, hurrying to make dinner, lotion gets thrown in a drawer quickly so you can get dinner on the table. Also, lots of us are so worn out getting organized is hard when on your days off you've got to take kids to their sporting events, dance recitals, volunteering and church events. People should really think before they comment and out rude labels on folks. Hoarders have rooms full of adult diapers (used) spoiled food garbage and vermin everywhere. PLEASE don't use the words hoard or hoarders where it doesn't belong. Disorganized fits a lot of people and their situations. Once organized, this couple will stay that way. Their home is beautiful and I am going to miss them when this series is finished. I love meeting all of the clients on this channel!
it may seem strange, but it is nice to see that every person respects the other one's belongings. in my family my mother, who took care of all household affairs, would just simply throw away whatever she deemed trash or reorganize or tidy up after her taste and misplace private things without asking or telling. she still does that when she visits my flat and although she may mean well it is an invasion of my privacy, not to mention memorabilia and important documents being lost this way.
Amazing how so many big drawers can still get out of hand. This was a satisfying sort. Love that clear green counter - Maybe put the Kleenex in the empty cubby 🙌🏻😊
I love seeing them both. They are working well together. So much space was made. I love that Mary is open to your suggestions. She really has made so many changes & is going to declutter regularly. I feel it in my bones. When couples deutter is so beautiful.
It’s so satisfying to watch them remove the stuff that no longer serves them and put like items together. I love this channel and April’s calming energy. ❤😊
LOVE, Love, love all the drawers and cupboard space in this bathroom. I especially like the storage around the sink and ledge, what a wonderful laid out bathroom. Nicely done!
Great video, I love this couple. I hope they've got a huge house with more decluttering to come. I sure love the storage they have in this beautiful house.
Very inspiring April. This video really shows the benefit of baskets and organizers. Makes me want to open a drawer and get going! Great job everybody!!!
Congratulations on 100K🎉 Beautiful bathroom. Great decluttering & organizing. Lots of back stock on so much stuff use up before buying more. A lot of the liquid items do start to break down over time.
One of my favorite room transformations in some time! Knowing what’s in a space and limiting yourself to only keep what fits is so functionally transformative
For the light fixture: if you take a picture and put the picture in the google app. If it’s available, you can usually find it - or at least the name. I enjoyed the episode and the both of them! Great results!
I immediately tried it. Haha Had a lot that were close but nothing was an exact match. Hopefully someone else will have better luck finding it somewhere.
So so so much stuff. This blows my mind. So happy for this couple and their willingness to declutter. I’ve never seen a bathroom with so much fantastic storage….wow!
Great tips! I just have a difficult time creating systems that are complicated such as Jack's method for buying and using deodorant. Senior Gal here, who recently suffered a mini-stroke. The older I get the less things I want to maintain and need manageable inventory and methods. But I do appreciate Mary and Jack for inviting us into their home and helping us "empty nesters" rethink our spaces. Great way to start the new year!
@@eileenlehonnyberg1576 They probably had a squeaky hinge on a door. That's what I use it for. 😄 You bring it to the room where you need it and after using it, instead of putting it back with other similar supplies you stick it in the nearest cabinet.
💡 It's so wise to have a designated backstock area. If you're running out of something, you'll know exactly where to look! 👀 Personally, I try to limit anything liquid like shampoo to 1 or 2 extra because the preservatives and product will degrade over time.
Yay love to see a new episode! ❤ But I would recommend reusable cups for toothbrushes - for cleaning you could just put them in the dishwasher - ok I saw they had already glasses for toothbrushes so where ever they used to use the plastic cups they could swap them out :) And cotton pads are available as washable ones as well - good for the environment and even needing a lot less storage place! 😊
I absolutely loved the deodorant and aftershave rotating system! I'm definitely going to suggest it to my boyfriend. He has several products he likes, but he doesn’t vary much because it takes so long to finish one before moving on to the next. And the drawer organization at the end was awesome-congratulations on that! I also loved the hair drawer. It’s so inspiring to see how something that’s important is being organized with such care. Great job!

I love that bathroom and the green tile! And for the dove soaps I have a big glass jar and filled it with the bars as decor if you have an extra jar lol
The bathroom is huge, and has lots of storage. One of the problems I've found with our bathrooms in the UK is that there is hardly any place where you can store things so the window is usually crowded with stuff and there is no where to put cleaning products so that they are out of sight. On the plus side, it means that we don't tend to buy lots of extras as there is no space for it, but it would be useful to have somewhere to keep towels.
