Looks like a lot of boot for the money, and very nice classic hiker styling, To me it looks more like hiking style urban boot that can also be worn on rougher terrain and occasional hikes rather than a proper hiking boot, but that's just a guess. I would replace that insole with a better cushioned one if I was to use it for hiking.
Great review Teik; they look pretty good for the price. I'm about to order some Wootten's so these might have to wait. Glad you're recovering from cataract surgery, i had it myself a few years ago and the results were well worth it. Phill
Beautiful boots! On camera, the leather looks stunning! I am personally partial to unlined boots for breathability reasons but those look like (almost too) beautiful hiking boots!
I ordered a pair of boots from this company. Turned out to be a nightmare. They had horrible c/s. They lied about the status of the order. more than one time. I ended up doping a charge back on my CC.
Can I ask where you bought your leather wrist band?? Also thank you for posting your informative videos. I have purchased two bags from Henk Berg after your review and I am a bout to purchase the woman's version of this boot.
If ye turn the box UPSIDE DOWN, the other box will likely slide out. We're neigh talking glassware here... Rugged cowboy image, but made in Injah? Haven't seen too many vids this brand yet, but likely neigh rugged enough for most cowboys.
Buffalo leather should be pretty durable and maybe thicker than cowhide, but it won't have the shrunken grain that gives the bison it's tensile strength per weight or whatever. I'm assuming...
I don't mind D-Rings as much as some people, I guess. I don't know if I'd want them all the way up on every single boot because I don't know how much they fail outdoors [like many speed hooks] and make one long for eyeholes, etc.
A hiking looking boot. I wouldnt wear theses on any serious hike in to our hills. Its not the 1950s, hiking boot technology has jumped so much which makes these things almost cos play items for Sherpa Norgay appreciation clubs
@@Soul_of_a_Robot Italian hiking boots are still made like this. Danner still make hiking boots this way. Nylon, man made materials might be comfy first up but they are cement construction and don’t last. Take it from someone who’s been up Kilimanjaro

Love the video Teik. I hope your post cataract glasses are letting you see up to par.
Nice! theyre my pair for this years thunderdome....They feel very good!
Good looking boots. Look forward to your video to see how they perform and hold up.
Thanks, I've had my eye on C&G for a little while now. Wouldn't mind seeing a review of their waxed canvas bags too, if the opportunity should arise.
Great taste here my friend!!! Can’t believe we picked the same thing! (Actually I can believe it😂)

Can we get a full boot collection tour at the end of the year? Or at least all of the boots you purchased in 2024 and rank them
@@thehuntstudio17 hmmm, that could work!
@@Bootlosophy yes I second this, I would love to see this as well! always neat to see how the boots have worn in and weathered over the years! cheers!
It would be actually interesting to watch!
You’re not wrong, they are hand welted, but with a gemming. They just say gyw 🤷🏻♂️
Nice, I like the high gusset tongue on them

That shoebox looks like a cooy of the White's shoebox.
Sounds like you need to order half a size down from your Brannock size.

How do you think they compare to African Rangers? They seem similar in many ways to me, and I am a hiker myself.
@@royogrady9179 the ARs are lower with less ankle protection. At the same time ARs are firmer. These are very comfy.
I have more than 10 products from them . 3 boots .....love the quality to price ratio
