I love the direct commentary! Also, short & sweet - exactly what I needed to know, thanks. I'll definitely be giving this a go on my car soon, thanks for the video!
Just did this myself. Your video was helpful. For me, I needed to rotate the bulb fixture clockwise to pull the bulb from the headlight. Just a tip if that helps anyone
Thanks for the honest commentary. When I was changing the bulb it slipped out of plug and was inside the headlight assembly. I had to take out the headlight bulbs and fish around for the drl bulb. Hope to never have to do that again.
This is the little Mrs. commenting here, Thank you! As a 5'3" female, I was able to do this by opening the hood. Always baby VW plastic parts, the older the car is the easier they break. It was frustrating!!!
Definitely appreciate the video AND the down-to-Earth *honesty*. It’s late Sunday with just a little daylight left and I was gonna try this (prior to watching your video). Lol, I think I’ll wait for a better day.
@@jamesbirch9614 ~ I have a license plate cover that say US ARMY VETERAN , plus I have 2 stickers from 25th Infantry Division & 2nd Infantry Division, so I was quite surprised that the owner didn’t charge me a penny & said “Thank you for your ( or your son’s )service. I said , “I’m the vet!” 🇺🇸👍🏾😁[Originally the estimated cost was $60 bucks]
@@PRESTO5796 well that is awesome, and I’m glad to hear it! My father was career military - entered the Navy at 17 during WWII, later transferring to USAF. I too appreciate your service. Proud that someone extended their thanks to you in a tangible way. 👍

How do you pull it out with the black socket, no one is filming that part
Good video with details. You're right, it was a pain in the . . .
Glad it helped
I appreciate your video! This is going to save me a lot of time and frustration!
Glad it helped!
The bulb above the windshield washer reservoir is a pain to get to, the plastic cover doesn’t want to come off
Very useful video thanks for sharing
Welcome 😊
What if the bulb falls through while trying to turn it? I have 3 bulbs sitting in front of the hole. The setup for this is way too small.
flexible magnet
Happened to me twice. After the 2nd one fell in, I took out the entire headlight assembly and shook them out. Pain in the A
Too difficult for me to do so I guess I have to pay big money to replace that left daytime running light😤😤😤! Kind thanks anyway‼️
How much was it, if you don’t mind saying?

Remove the headlight assembly much faster but more time-consuming
I paid CAD$40 + tax after watching this video

VW Engineers their cars to make dealership work; heads up their asses IMHO.
That's true. Lots of things are designed so you have to take it to the dealer
I want to replace that bulb with an LED
I've never done it, but should be the same process
