2014 VW Passat B7.Followed your instructions to remove the surround I too had a bit difficulty in getting it of. On replacing study the grips I found that working in reverse inner two grips go in first the the rest will fall inline leaving Two longer grips which can be persuaded with a thin 1inch blade paper scraper. No fancy tools needed . Thank you Stephen. Happy days again here in Sunderland England .... : )
Thank you, very helpful. On my first attempt I wasn't too sure how hard to pull on the plastic trim but after watching your video I gave it another go and it came off. Thanks again.
Hi. It's much easier going at it from the wheel arch side, take out the 2×T25 screws and once you pull the cover aside you can remove the bulb from the back of the housing. Less hassle and no worries about scratching the paintwork! 👍
Thanks, mate, your technique is way better than going in through the wheel arch! (In my case, because the wheel arch torx screws appeared to be damaged and seized.)
Thank you for help. I watched the filming until the end and seeing how the protection (plastic ornament) was reassembled, I realized that it is easier to disassemble from the inside (left in this case) of the ornament and not the outside (right). That's what I did and I managed to disassemble it with my bare hand, without the plastic rod. See how the ornament was reassembled and you will understand what I mean. 😀
Thats good and bad thing about german cars they are built solid so they having this premium feeling inside and outside but demontage of any part can take forever
i mean, this is one way doing it. around that context.. good to know, me personally gonna try mr. matthewomalley5321 version first. just starting with em damn cars and gonna at least attemt do it my self much as possible

It's much easier if you have child sized hands. Lol
It would be except my Passat doesn’t have those

100% correct. I did exact same. No need for a tool other than the screwdriver
You are 100% right
Thanks for the video. I found it easier doing the two torx screws in the wheel well and coming in from behind in the end.
indeed, i did the same, from the back, 2 torx25 screws
Just what I needed. Thanks for the video.
Great Video and made a tricky task very simple - well done Stephen !!
Thanks for sharing, saved me a lot of time and effort.
Much easier doing separating the ones in the middle of the car first....then pivot the outer ones out like a hinge.
Actually you need to start at the inside of the trim and work outwards towards the end of the bumper when removing.
Great video… thank you 🙏🏼
Cheers for that. I did the same except I removed it from the other side having watched this
Thank you for the great video 🙂
Thank you for sharing :)
Dziękuję za film🙂👍
Thanks for sharing
👍. 👏👏👏SUPER.

Wasn't easy to change it from the wheel, where it is the plastic protection?
Sorry I do not understand your question
I always grease those pesky clips on everything I take apart. Really makes a difference when doing it again and also re-assemby.
God❤
i opened and the bulb looks like H7 and can't be removed
H7 bulbs are normally a headlight bulb. Not sure of your situation.
@@stephenmolloy5842 so there were H8 and they are turning lights, so working only when needed:)
If you remove the Cover under the engine you can reach is easily
Спасибо за видео, все понятно, но, полез и решётку в одном месте, всё таки сломал.
Do not remove the plastic trim from the outside as per this video
This method worked for me. Do you have a suggestion that could assist others?
