    I believe this guitar was featured in Guitar Player magazine back in the late 80's or early 90's.
    She also built a somewhat similar instrument for Pat Metheny, and I think he wanted this particular guitar, but she wouldn't let him have it, so she built the one he has now-there are videos of it here on YT I think. She was the only one building stuff like this for many years.
    I've only seen one of her guitars live in the flesh, at a guitar show in Dallas, it wasn't for sale, it was on display with other rare, high end guitars.
    A Collings is like a Squire Affinity by comparison to her stuff.

    • @MrTommy4000
      @MrTommy4000 6 років тому +5

      Try tuning a piano, tempering 300 strings, perfect 3 string unisons, stretched octaves, thirds and 4ths with narrow 5ths.speeds of beats speeding upwards into the highs, while slowing down beats towards the bass notes. A piece of cake.

      call and ask your local recording studio how often their piano is tuned. and ask if it is tuned automatically before it is to be used, even if it was tuned the day before. by the way, moving a piano or subjecting it to a change in environment is far less damaging to a piano than direct sunlight. a solid piano will remain pretty much acceptable for about 2 weeks before it takes in the change in relative humidity. and a piano moved correctly will have almost no affect on a good tuning

    I used to think the harp guitar was the most complex and the weirdest type of guitar I've ever seen. Well, I was clearly mistaken...

    I would use this to play wonderwall or zombie just to piss some people off. It's an amazing instrument though.

      Hardly, there's R&D, raw material costs, final assembly and access to a CNC machine, and I'm sure there are other costs I can't bring to mind right now. Sure, it's less impossible than it used to be but that's not the same thing as without costs.
