Aussie world deserved a passing mention, still running, was an interesting choice for a holiday from Brisbane in the other direction than The Gold Coast.
A small part of Ferny Groves Woolshed waterslides is set up in a backyard on Lilley Rd Cashmere. Loved the Amazons footage. Thanks for the great info and Merry Christmas to you!!
Great video! Bunya Park was a smaller wildlife park on the Northside. It had koalas, dingoes, emus, wombats, kangaroos etc... plus a maze near the carpark. Kumbartcho Sanctuary & Nursery is now in its place.
The Woolshed always seemed like a fever dream to be. I was once when I was in primary school, remember having to go down the slides in my school clothes because we weren't told there were slides. I got a sandwich bag of freshly shaved wool to take home and I had it for a couple of years until I had to throw it out. I could rarely find any information about the place when googling and whenever I asked someone about the place, they remember it existing and maybe even visiting but couldn't remember anything other than that.
Any parks we've forgotten? Where was somewhere in Brisbane (or surrounds) you used to visit during the summertime when you were growing up?
Mirage Grand Pix at Oxley comes to mind. Thank you for this, seeing Amazons again even briefly brought back so many memories.
@@CycKath They mentioned it.
@@CycKath We gave Mirage a mention! Albeit very briefly!

Good flashbacks. Have a lovely Christmas mate!👍
I remember the Warrego Waterslide in Haigslea. The big tube slides were a stand-out feature from the Warrego Highway.
