For those of you that just want my 4 favorite campsites… 0:22 I enjoy Campsite #1 basically every time I arrive at the trail, I love waking up here and starting the whole trail in the morning. 13:16 this is my absolute favorite campsite on the whole trail, most of the times I’ll camp here and go play on the old sluice. 16:03 there’s no party bigger than a Jeepers Jamboree at Runicon Springs. 20:00 is a great spot for late summer to play in the river at Rocky Point on the slabs.
@@t.o.f.t.s.yea they were with a bunch of the Fox guys at Rubicon springs in the evening when we got there. My wife wanted to go back and camp at Rocky point. Vaughn Gittin Jr. was their also. It was rad!
Holy fuckin shit! Great video!! Snow on the ground!!! I’ve been blessed to run the Con about 12 times back to back n past 7 years. This video does justice
The two times a year I enjoy the most are… 1st, as early in the year as I can when the snow is just gone enough to run it, and then late fall after the crowds and mosquitoes are all gone!!
Such a great vid!! Great music, no annoying spotters yelling, outstanding clarity and mix of different camera angles, especially the drone footage. Loved it!!!
Nicely done video!. Back in mid 80's early 90's we did tne trail 6 times' Buck island was my v Favorite campsite.I miss jeepin glad i was able experince the trail!
@@foulwind4582 yea buck is always the best. I probably should’ve put the order from best as #1. If I can’t get a K5 tree area campsite then the peninsula at buck Island is always available. My favorite way to run the Rubicon is to get to “camp one” on Friday night after work, wake up Saturday cook breakfast, hit gatekeeper, drive to Soupbowl, play on soupbowl and Little sluice, drive to Buck island, set up camp, swim and relax at buck, wake up and head up Old sluice on Sunday and make my way back to Loon.
