I just saw Beth live a week ago. Absolutely breathtaking! As good as these videos are, nothing compares to seeing talent of this level live. And the same goes for Joe. I saw him two months ago for the fourth time, and he was, as always, amazing. I think he gets better every time. The two of them together is pure fire. There is nothing better.
The phrasings when Beth Hart starts singing "When I looked down in the glass, that I held to my lips .." (04:03) is just superb. And the way Joe Bonamassa makes that Telecaster cry is out of this world. This performance is a masterclass.
Now this is music Stephanie. You will have to look long and hard to find anything more beautiful than the blues being sung and played at this level. The great blues and Gospel is music that will be your good companion all of your life. This is blues on the same level as Sohyang sings Gospel. Nuff said, eh? Greetings from Canada. 😎🎸💖💖💖
A song made famous by the Legendary Etta James . My favorite part of watching reactions to this performance is when Beth starts singing & it's always "OMG !"
Great reaction to this Epic version of this song Steph! Joe and Beth top tier musicians and performers! You need to watch her sing "Leave the light on" Live at the Royal Albert Hall.
I listened to this piece " Rather go blind" sung by Etta James ,Beyoncè and others. Some were great Interpretations In live others in studio , in movies with choruses, with vocalists, with "tears" flowing from eyes with long eyelashes, all certainly with participation according to their soul, but I can say that, at least for me, Beth, especially the version at the Paradise in Amsterdam. with Joe Bonamassa at guitar ,really put a soul, through voice and gestures, which encompasses love, fear, jealousy, resentment, anger and, at the end you feel the sweetness and pain together asking not to be abandoned and, preferring to say that it would be better to go blind not to see the betrayal.Great great Beth! Love from Roma,Italy.
Beth is such a great vocalist- she could blow out a P A system with that voice Joe is just your basic guitar prodigy virtuoso. I have a friend bassist Angeline Saris who was doing the Todd Rundgren’s tribute to David Bowie shows in L A last year and Joe join them on stage for a few songs. She said he was so good and very nice.
Yes... I think I just found my new favorite reactor !! Your eyes told the whole story and you seem to hang on every note and word. When you glanced directly into the camera, I could tell you were really enjoying it. Keep it up !! Maybe turn up your output volume a little, for us aging "Rockers"...
Beth Hart is masterful, one of the 2 best currently in Blues Soul and Rock, Joe Bonamassa is one of the best solo guitarists currently so this can only give an exceptional piece, if you want to enjoy listening to one of the best blues rock voices of all time and Joe Bonamassa the best guitarist currently, in the top 5 of my favorite pieces, we are without a doubt in perfection, I could recommend a cover of Led Zeppelin made by the group Heart in honor of Led Zeppelin another piece which is part of my top 5, Heart - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center, Ann Wilson the singer is my favorite singer with Beth Hart, you will enjoy yourself !!!
STEPH: EXCELLENT REACTION VIDEO. Joe is also an excellent singer. Nonetheless, I'd love to see you react to another video wherein he teams up with another great singer, Jimmy Barnes, on a song titled, "Stone Cold," that I think you'd like just as much as this one. Jimmy Barnes featuring Joe Bonamassa, Stone Cold.
When it comes to the blues these two cant be beat.Ive sen Joe 4 times and Beth once but never together. Joe was opening for BB King when Joe was only 12 I dare you to try to find a song of his in you tube that isnt incredible and he has a ton. I saw Beth just before COVID hitand it was the most incredible show I ever saw and I worked for over 40 years as a stagehand here in NY Her final encore was a song called Am I the One that she wrote as a teenager Theres a live perfpormancr of it on you tube Beth Hart Am I the One live at the Presido Its with her own band who are also incredible
Not even her best performance... Beth doesn't do bad performances but i do admit, her voice has much more range as she ages. Beth is the blues because she has lived the blues. Ya want to see great and sexy? "AM I THE ONE" live at Paradiso. One of my top 5 performances and I've literally seen just about everyone (live, from The Who, Rush, Van Halen, Rolling Stones etc etc) nothing touches that performance.
Could you play Darren Hayes - he has one of the voices live or recorded that I have head Had quite a few hits 20 + years ago Insatiable was my favourite ❤️ thank you
One of the greatest performances ever... Not just of this song... but.. Any song by Any performer.. This performance was just spectacular. Beth and Joe are two of the best individually... Ever.. Put them together and they are a force.. No other duo can come close. Then the back up band, guitars, drums, horns, all of them just blended in so well together. .

Must have seen this performance at least a hundred times now, it never gets old 👍😁
Her voice + his guitar = the perfect storm. They compliment each other in the most perfect way.
