20 years of grappling, seasoned and my only breaking point vs instructors is this one: passing their guard. I trust this method wholeheartly, and will put everything into it, all out as they say in poker.
@9:45 ish, it looks like the classic X guard to single leg. What is preventing the guy from coming up into combat base and up into the single leg? Is it just the stiff arm that Christian is utilizing on the cross side lapel?

You basically have to spend a few hours in them during the week.
I feel bjj should be taught 50% in concepts and 50% technique. Love this stuff

By posting my hand on the mat to directing my weight into him, it makes it difficult (not impossible) for him to stand up with the leg :)
