@@GyariSan1Favorable track? Maybe for Syd who ran on the super bouncy Beynon surface of Hayward field. Fem ran on a poor quality local track only because the race fitted the planning of her training progression. PS. Any race without competition is casual ;)
@@grgr6720 Incorrect. Going all out from start to finish to achieve a PB isn't called "casual," regardless of whether worthy competition is present. And they definitely were favorable tracks. Stade de La Charriere in Switzerland is a well-known location for top European sprinters, used for the specific purpose of achieving lifetime bests and qualifying standards due to its favorable conditions. Many European record holders and medalists have set their personal bests at Stade de la Charreire over the years. That's a known fact if you actually follow track and field. Even this year alone, the likes of Nadine Visser and Pia Skrzyszowska also ran huge personal bests at 100 hurdles. This race wasn't initially part of Femke's plan until recently, so obviously Laurent Meuwly sent her over to get a fast time under her belt toward confidence for Paris.
@@GyariSan1 The more you write the more you display your ignorance and confusion. You confuse "casual" with effort. Casually has nothing to do with effort. It has to do with a tune-up race with no competition or even a training session. Both Fem and Syd ran these races to put the pieces of their training together and tune up. Not to run a PB. Syd herself stated in the interview after her race "I was in shock I was not expecting this time". Bol was equally surprised. You also confuse the track surface with conditions.
