Bedside table and water is always presented . Call light in reachable distance always set it on her lap. Or if she wants it beside her hand. Always wear gloves when changing linens..head rest should be up and the foot of the bed as well. When done with patient. When changing patients or residents bed should be raised up to the level of comfort when changing bed linens. You don’t want to hurt your back. Bedrail should be up so patient can hold on to it when turning patient.
Teachers - check these videos before you post, many contain multiple mistakes. i.e. 0 gloves for dirty linens, clean linen should side rails up if not on that side, changing gloves incorrectly etc.etc. I use the videos to have my students find the errors and then we have a discussion about how to properly maintain asepsis and safety.
I think we have to put up the railings first before we turn them over right?
Unfortunately, a lot of their videos have mistakes.

Thanks for teaching how to position the resident before moving onto their side. My CNA book doesn't teach that at all.
In the new way they are doing it before moving from each side of the bed always ask the test observer to stand on the unoccupied side of the bed.

The bed is too low, please remember that good manual handling. You're gonna hurt your back
She did a fabulous job, but she forgot to raise up the bedrails
You forgot to raise the bed to a comfortable height.
