I REALLY wanted to rebuttable the title statement, because I do indeed think Audi would exist without the S1 Quattro, I just think it would be in a VERY different way. So, I wouldn't mind you guys doing a video of B2B on the B5 chassis (S4 or RS4 since they are the stupid fast and definitely the best of the B5s) considering that the B5 genuinely saved Audi from going under after the 100 and 5000 sudden acceleration scandal. In fact, the B5 was so good that even after all of that, with the the 100s and 5000s selling terribly the B5 managed to sell almost 120,000 units in its first year.

A shop near my hometown has restored two of them and saw them at a car show like two years ago, amazing machines to see and than he mentioned that they were half-a-million the piece. Crazy and there were like 4 of them there

its interesting to see the first impressions of people in the states of cars that some of us in Europe grew up with (great vid). The smell is specific to old audi's specially the ones with leather interiors (our old 90s audi c4 still has it with the same intensity 30+ years and after driving it i always smell like the car) and those door handles I remember the Lada Samara had as well and are really cool but can break easily overtime if treaded roughly (the little pull lever gets stuck in)
