Im really young and dont plan on having children, but seeing content like this makes me happy that others who may be struggling with insecurities can come accross this and feel normal. Every body is different, and especially after being pregnant and giving birth, the body is going to look different from what it did before. Ik that there's a lot of pressure for moms to "snap back" as soon as possible after they give birth, but thats not possible for a lot of people. I think we need more content like this to go against the societal idea that moms have to look a certain way, especially after giving birth.

It's a lot of self-sacrifice. Motherhood is not something to be taken lightly at all. I'm 27 and definitely going through baby fever, but I could never just make this choice on a whim. Stretchmarks happen i believe because your body cant produce enough collagen to produce a healthy "stretch" because youre growing too fast. This is why many mothers have them.
However, you will also have them if you gain a lot of muscle or fat. Its important to moisturize your skin regularly and i believe there are collagen supplements but many people think ONLY PREGNANT PEOPLE HAVE STRETCHMARKS.
100% not true. A fallacy. A lie. They are normal. They are beautiful. And they will fade to a nicer looking colour than an angry red. Also,
Nobldy told me they would be ITCHY. But they are because theyre essentially a healing wound. Try your best not to scratch.
I can tell im gaining stretchmarks atm because my inner thighs and inner arms especially are itchy constantly. I get no relief.
But also, places like your vulva can and do get stretchmarks. Close to your butthole. Your hips. Your breasts. Etc. They're normal, but annoying. You're not alone and your body is not ruined. They are little reminders to moisturize and get your collagen in!

This might seem crazy to some, but seeing her postpartum body makes me less scared of when I do decide to have children. 😊😊😊
I think actually seeing an example, makes me not scared of my body looking like that too.

I wish I had this video postpartum. I felt very alone with how my belly looked, I didn't "bounce back" even though I was young, and because my ab muscles never we went back to where they should be, I still had a pretty round belly 1.5years pp. My extra skin never went away, etc. But now here I am, pregnant with my second, almost 28 weeks and no new stretch marks 😂 kinda thankful for that extra skin right about now!

As a mom with graves disease, I had the opposite; I lost all my baby weight (around 50 pounds not counting my child) in under seven days, I wanna say by day five. Two weeks later, I was even less than before pregnancy and I just kept dropping weight. I was finally diagnosed with graves disease and a vitamin b12 deficiency. The graves disease I have had basically my entire life but for some reason was unable to be properly diagnosed until after I had my son. Idk what changed but having a real answer was so nice!

I got lots of red stretchmarks after pregnancy. Was hoping to get rid of them but turns out I'm so in love with them. My new body looks amazing!
