  • It took forever to get my hands on r-134a, but it was worth the wait!
    Pretty much an elastic silly string at this point, but it’s a work in progress.
    List of Ingredients:
    (These links may vary based on your location. I recommend you find similar more affordable products if possible)
    Polymethyl methacrylate - www.amazon.ca/...
    Isopropyl Alcohol - www.amazon.ca/...
    Polysorbate - www.amazon.ca/...
    R134-a - www.amazon.ca/...
    This fluid has the same ingredients as brain-ions I just played with the ratios.

    I strongly recomend you visit Blood-Spider's channel, he's done more tests and variations with this formula than anyone in the community.

      Now I am absolutely no chemist. But I’m just curious, what if we added small fibers of some kind into the webs? How we’d achieve this I’ve no idea, but think about it, how do ropes work? They’re made up of small fibers interconnected and moved together to increase tensile strength. Studies were done on spiders where the arachnids were sprayed down with carbon nano tubes, and while most died, some somehow incorporated them into their webs increasing they’re strength dramatically. I’m sure this is more difficult than the concept is to describe, but it’s a start.

    Could graphene propogated throughout the mixture increase tensile strength? Maybe mixing a nylon reaction with this one? Overall the strength is the best I've seen on anything so far, but to hold weight it needs to be almost impossibly strong lol... Let me know what you think of those ideas!

    • @begreateryourself9087
      @begreateryourself9087 4 роки тому +1

      unfortunately chemistry is unlike cooking graphene you have to bond with pmma in order to use it as a source, but graphene is inert so if you can't make a bond, if you add graphene to this formula, you will only get stupid rope with black particles so there is no improvement maybe graphene oxide can work

    • @grahamgrecian1332
      @grahamgrecian1332 4 роки тому

    • @begreateryourself9087
      @begreateryourself9087 4 роки тому +1

      @@grahamgrecian1332 It can work again depends on the chemical structure, but I think it could bond with PMMA because there are reactive groups in nylon that can make hydrogen bonding.The main question is how will you solve the nylon The brain is talking about the ion video, but ultimately this formula is a foam, do not expect anything, it will be very weak again.

    Just now realizing you changed the title because everyone was losing there shit because they thought it was real.
    That’s really funny😂

    Is refrigerant 134a here only for a pressure, or it's important for a fluid?

      I was wondering that myself. I know nothing about chemistry and was hoping to get that answer too.

    Good Morning!! I'm a bit of a layman on the subject. Would this chemical compound "PMMA" or polymethylmethacrylate, be Acrylic Resin?

    Hey human spider, I live in Canada and wanted to try this web fluid, however r134a refrigerant is banned here, do you know of any substitute that would possibly work the same?

    Will this fluid be able to fit in a smaller compartment such as, a smaller preformed bottle or a lighter ?
    (Which has been emptied out already)

    How did you make the Shooter???

  • @thereplication2567
    @thereplication2567 2 роки тому +1

    with some slight chemical alterations, and experimental spider silk proteins you can possibly make it a REAL web shooter.
    Although, it won't as strong enough to swing from, it can however be strong enough to attach and pull objects with ease. (ex: small boxes, soda cans, rocks & shoes)
