Call of Duty: Warzone now has support for 120fps providing the player has a HDMI 2.1 cable.
Call of Duty: Warzone season 4 has introduced the ability to play on PS5 with 120fps. This was possible on the Xbox Series X seven months ago, and now PlayStation players can experience it so long as they have an HDMI 2.1 cable hooked up and compatible TV according to the patch notes from June 16.
There's not much more detail in the patch notes other than the simple fact the game supports 120fps now with the requirement of HDMI 2.1. You will need to do some checks to make sure you're getting those frames though. This can be done by going to the system settings and enabling 120Hz Output to Automatic in the Video Output menu. Then you'll need to change your Game Presets to Performance Mode.
Back in 2020, Rocket League developer, Psyonix spoke to Eurogamer about why it can only provide 120fps on the Xbox Series X|S. It explained that for the Xbox consoles, only a minor patch is needed, but for PS5 it "requires a full native port due to how backwards compatibility is implemented on the console" But now, through the use of an HDMI 2.1 and perhaps some development tweaks from Raven Software, PS5 users can experience Warzone in 120fps.

If you are playing wz3, in game, go to settings, graphics, it will show where FOV is and your button to click 120hz

The ps5 cable it came with is 2.1 please use that cable instead of whatever was already there
The cable is 2.1 but if your monitor isn't 2.1 it makes no difference
Guys for those who come to this video make sure you are playing on the ps5 version of the game for 120 fps, then go to graphics setting in the game and 120 fps setting should be there, being that the ps4 version a ps4 game would not be able to run at 120 so that setting can't be run on there.
If any recent players come across this video, it has old news in it so do not listen to it. Set all the PS5 settings to Automatic and make sure your TVs mode is set to ”Game”, and Optimal.
As long as you have an HDMI 2.1 connection via TV and PS5 the output should become 2160p HDR10 VRR ALLM 120hz.

You need a monitor with a HDMI 2.1 port and a HDMI 2.1 cable
if your tv has an hdmi 2.1 port you can also play warzone with 2160p hdr at 120 fps.

Mate, please help me... I have a monitor that supports 144 hz and l've already tried all of those configurations, (about the performance mode and put the 120 hz on automatic) but it keeps refreshing at 60 hz (both in the network information inside the games and in the monitor informations).
I also changed the configurations inside the games, to priorize the performance over the resolution, but nothing changed.

Make sure if u have 120hz to run 1080p or even 1440p bcz 4k will give you huge dips on frame rate causing it to black screen also if your playing a game that doesn’t even support 120hz turn off the 120hz setting. I’m assuming ur playing on ps5. Just cause the ps5 says it supports 4k 120hz doesn’t mean it’s consistent and almost every game doesn’t even support 4k 120hz not even most high end pcs can support 4k 120hz

Just cause u can doesn’t mean u should you will be getting HUGE DIPS if ur running 4k and hdr even the most expensive pcs struggle with 4k and 120hz if ur playing competitively I would highly recommend 1080p with hdr off and vrr off to run a steady and consistent 120hz but if u don’t den go for it run 4k hdr vrr and 120hz but just don’t expect smooth gameplay or very good resolution u gotta choose one or another and most games don’t even support 4k 120hz

It does work but hdmi 2.1 is better the Internet is faster the quality is much better the frame rates are much better low input delay 4k,8k VRR HDR so much more and plus when there was no hdmi 2.1 connected to my ps5 I has 45ms in Europe servers in fortnite and after I put a HDMI 2.1 I got 6 sometimes 9 ms

No, turn on performance mode in the PS5 system settings.
Vrr will just lower input lag and make the it smoother but HDMI 2.1 monitors are way costlier than normal 2.0 ones

@@incantate5990 you can use everything to get 120 fps as long as the monitor support 120hz or more (HDMI 2.0 monitors), VRR (HDMI 2.1 monitors) only reduce screen tear and stuttering which you don't face much

Did you update system software?
Depending on the PS5 model you have it either ACFI-4 Acoustic model or CFI-3W Wumbo model.
If it’s the CF1 model go to settings video output setting and set it to Wumbo
