One thing that I've found with all TVs and Monitors is that the Color Temperature option changes input lag. You need to figure out what is the default Color Temperature that you panel operantes for the lower input lag, even tough you may not like loosing your calibration and color acuracy.
@@DanielZH It's noticible with my controler and aiming in FPS games that I play everyday. So It could be a lot, I don't have equipment to measure and test, but It was always the case with all my TVs and Monitors, from my old Samsung and two Bravia TVs (2008, 2010 and 2014) to my "new" LG Ultragear (2021). It seems that even the Black Stabilizer also affects with lag, been 60 the default value with less lag. It could be a placebo effect for sure, but I play FPS games like Destiny wich I have more than 15.000 hours played, and Battlefield, CoD. I can feel It. Wish someone could test it.
@DanielZH thanks for this info as always, I wanted to ask you about connecting a headset to the controller, does connecting the adapter you showed in the video is enough? Or do I have to fully connect a headphone? Does this decrease in input lag work consistently on all games if using DS Edge?
Hi, once you connect it, it'll try to send audio, even if it's not a headset but only a 3.5mm jack, + about the delay, that's so dependent on the game, this result that I talked about here was tested in COD season 3, I need to try it once again and update it for both which I'm working on it for the next videos.
Hi, you're welcome, as far as my tests goes, I've tested input delay once on my friend's PS5 (1 account) and mostly on my PS5 (15 users) and the results were very similar, so probably it wouldn't be an issue.
Hello, friend. Thank you for this video, I'd like to ask you something, I'm using the Dualsense controller as you said, Bluetooth, can I still use a cable while playing? so I can have the controller charged everytime? 🎮
The setting that still really helps fix lag and input delay issues is Restore Game License's in Account Settings and Other. If you are having extreme lag or massive input delay and frame drops, that setting really helps out.
Love the videos ! Do you think those settings improve input delay on dualsense edge through usb ? I was just wondering since it’s always polling basically 1000hz through usb
Hi, yes, most of these settings affect the final in-game input delay so they come typically after idle and can be reduced, in games such as Valorant it's not as effective (this game is the fastest already with an avg of 2.5ms) but in games like COD they're so effective.

@@DanielZH Hi Daniel, you're absolutely right, I've listed too many but I don't know which one is the right one in terms of quality and price for the ps5 😅 thanks anyway 🤝
Hello Danial 😊 I just had 2 questions, if you could you help. 1. I have my LG ULTRAGEAR OLED 45 Gaming Screen that is connected to the PS5. It supports 240HZ, yet PS5 can give 120Hz but until now trying all the videos from UA-cam I couldn’t do the 120 Hz, still 60 Hz 2. As we know Gaming Monitors doesn’t have a sound, so it’s somehow boring always to play with no sound, therefore i purchased 2 Soundbars, yet I couldn’t connect both and doesn’t give any sound. Waiting for the response, Thanks in Advance 😊
So Danial for the accessibility settings should reduced motion be on? If I don’t have high contrast on? Or should I have both on will it still reduce lag if I have reduce motion on by itself? Or is everything off better? Also for the controller for the haptic feed back thing, is it fine if vibration intensity is set to off as well?

Hi Daniel please could you help, i bought an MSI mag27UPF monitor for my PS5. Call of Duty plays fantastic but when i play FC24 it feels unresponsive and Laggy its not servers either because mg ping is 10-20 each game. I cant understand why there is such a difference between the 2 games it makes FC24 feel unplayable
Hi i have a quick question, when you set (haptic feedback during console navigation) on do you set the vibration intensity on week or can you keep it off? How does that work?
For me this worked.. I turned haptic navigation ON and I turned off vibration completely from the ps5 menu. That’s if you don’t like vibration of course.. you can just leave it on if you like it but be sure to have haptic navigation ON always. For me it definitely feels better
All off, or just high contrast On, + it's mainly effective on what happens in the background, especially if you have notifications on while gaming, in that case it may affect input delay!
And which gives less input lag, reduce motion on by itself? Could I use that by itself without high contrast? Or do I have to have all of them on, also which is lower all of them on or all off
Hi, it's for both controllers, about haptic feedback but having Vibration off, I'll make another test to see how it goes, for other options if you have everything off, you're fine, otherwise High contrast may help to reduce the affection of other options such as reduce motion especially when receiving notifications in game.
@@DanielZH idk what it was but the movement wasnt feeling right i reseted it and cleaned the sticks and now it feels great again i think it prob needed some cleaning and the delay wasnt the problem anyway thank you very much

hi @Daniel in your past videos you said unmuted mic also gave input lag does that also apply to external usb mics ? you didnt specify what type of mic gives input delay when not muted
Hi, in some situations (tested in COD and OW2) they could increase jitter of controller responsiveness when received for a few seconds (on my PS5) so it could be nice to enable DND while playing if you want a more stable performance, however they might be related to network, etc., so this test needs much more data to be proven.
Depends on the game mostly, to either force a higher rate = faster response or if it pushes that more making it slower, as we tested in BO6 it was adding more delay, but for the games mentioned in this video, it helped reducing delay significantly.
This setting is mainly on PS5 and reduces the delay caused by PS5 software, Apex 4 doesn't work on PS5 right? if you use an adapter for that to work, then yes.
At 3:07, I believe what that sebastian guy who commented on your video meant the "View and Customize Your Privacy Settings" option. Not the one below it
Yes, I tested in multiple scenarios and it's mainly dependent on what happens in the background of console (e.g. Notifications) and having Haptic Feedback really helped, high contrast in some games didn't affect much.
Try this settings I was also having trouble with my New Edge controller I picked up a few days ago and my KD was suffering and movement aswell. I Readjusted my Settings from in GAME and this time Drop my Deadzone Left stick from 60 to 25 Max and Lowest Deadzone 4 to 0 and Right Stick from 90 to 100 Max and lowest Deadzone from 6 to 0 aswell as adjusted The Edge Controller settings within ps5 Left Stick put it from Default to Quick +4 and Right Stick Precise -2 and it made a huge difference in my performance back up to moving Quick in Game and Dropping 2KD+ and winning more games. I did a bit of research and some people saying edge controller is a bit stiffer with more resistance In thumbsticks
Hi, if you have other accessibility options on, High Contrast On helps to reduce delay caused by those (in these tests I made) otherwise having all off is also fine, it mainly affects when you receive a notification in the background while gaming though!
I also tested a few things. I connected a USB fan to the rear port with a USB headset and connected XIM via USB. I had a noticeable delay and a strange feeling with the aim assist. For some time now I have only been using one USB at the back for the XIM and one at the front for the headset. A clear difference.
I’m still using a BenQ Zowie TN 1080p Monitor! I want to upgrade to a 1440p monitor on PS5 I was wondering if the frames will drop when I’m playing warzone and mw3 multiplayer?
Hi, frame drops typically don't get affected much by a higher resolution, in mw3 multiplayer based on multiple tests the FPS was typically very close in all resolutions, however try having gore effects off + Fidelity CAS max 50 and that'll help a little in some cases.
Man this is crazy! All this time I’ve had haptic navigation menu off and I’ve always wondered why my gameplay felt weird with FC24. Combined with a monitor that is not so great at producing good performance at 60fps because it’s 165hz. When I turned this menu haptic navigation setting on again after this video my game feels so much better man. This can’t be any placebo effect.. it genuinely feels better. And not only fc24, shooter games now feel like I need to lower my sensitivity because of how quick I feel. Definitely because of the small delay I had before…
What I also did was turning my vibration completely off because I hate that haptic navigation feel. Either way I don’t play with vibration in any competitive games so I’ll just turn it on when I play story/single player games.
Thanks so much for sharing the information, exactly the more I tested it I've got similar results and even higher affection in 60FPS games, I'll consider testing this in FC25 and every new game!
Yes, Still saving for tools that are needed to test Xbox, things work differently there and can't do the tests the same as PS5, but I'll probably start covering that before 2025!
You really need to simplify what your saying in these videos cause 99% of people dont have a clue what your saying. REMEMBER 1 thing about HUMANS, if you cant get someone to understand what your saying within 15 seconds, whether its directions on how to do something or jus trying to explain something, YOU are wasting your time, its great u want to get in depth and technical BUT only like 1% of the people that are watching actually understand what your saying. BEST example? Im 3:39 into your video and still dont understand what i need to do to reduce lag on my ps5, you show too much and try explaining too many things at once, gotta keep it simple and separated to what your trying to show. Theres a reason why you dont have 100k subs yet, your videos are too complex
@@DanielZH Just another example, this video despite it being a 5 min video, i had to keep rewinding and going back trying to listening over and over again to even come close to understanding anything where i ended up taking 20+ mn to really understand anything. Not trying to explain multiple things at once while using graphs and other explanations all at the same time lmao

Yea yea safe bro. Just 2 shots and a dark till later. You ok to drop it yea?...
Ok bruv sound, bell me when you're outside. Safe.
I'm on ps5 and my settings display doesn't look like yours. I got so lost in this video bro 😂
Really? it should be the same for every PS5 though!
Im xbox serse s should I turn on vrr on or off cuz I see some Ppl have it on and some on idk
I haven’t tested Xbox yet
When i have my Vibration turn Off in the console does this haptic feedback feature works then ?
I have to make another test for this and will share it in upcoming videos.
Thanks, man. Your videos are amazing.
I appreciate that!
Bro I need to try these ASAP I had some heavy input lag on my edge 2 days ago. Made me want to vomit.
In which game did you feel lag
@@DanielZH warzone (mw3)
Did you try with high contrast, the haptic feedback and motion setting all on ?
Yes, I tested in multiple scenarios and it's mainly dependent on what happens in the background of console (e.g. Notifications) and having Haptic Feedback really helped, high contrast in some games didn't affect much.
Is there anyway to make the edge feel like the dualsense standard ?
Try dynamic -5 for Stick curves
@@DanielZH for both sticks yea?
@@frankjdm4636 I'll give them a go in an minute buddy, thankyou. In-game linear or dynamic? And what slope scale amount
@@RyanDench-lx6cx Yes, however you wouldn't feel it much on the left stick.
I have DualSense Edge. And now my Melee is on the moving Right stick🎮.😐😑

Xbox series s and x when?
before 2025 hopefully I'll get both to cover, just need different tools to test them!

Hello, Mr. Danial, my setting control problem is still not solved in COD, can you please help me?🙏🎮😐😑
what problem?
@@DanielZH First of all, I sincerely thank you for answering me🙏
@@DanielZH Unfortunately, during moving and shooting melee is done unconsciously
@@DanielZHFor example, during moving or shooting, when the ground is unconsciously done and the opponent finds the time to take me down.
@@martinzargar6732 it could be great if you can record a video of that and send to discord (link in the pinned comment) so we can test it too.

Sadly, I sold my PS4 🥲
O lag é tranquilo, o problema é a latência na casa dos 70 😢
Reduce motion اخر ان کنیم یا اف اخرش همه شو آف کردی که
So having the high contrast off and that helps with less input lag?
Hi, if you have other accessibility options on, High Contrast On helps to reduce delay caused by those (in these tests I made) otherwise having all off is also fine, it mainly affects when you receive a notification in the background while gaming though!
How to connect the VPN connection of an iPhone to Play Station
I'm not said on iPhone and not on Android
Haven't seen an app on iPhone for that.
Wow, very interesting, I should test it out!
@@DanielZHthe best ps5 settings UA-cam channel thanks man keep it up!
My reply disappeared...
the short answer was no, you mainly wouldn't get frame drops if you upgrade to 1440p
I have a crazy deley since 3 days idk why 😢 i did all
in which game?
@@DanielZH mw3/warzone
Yes, even with Vibration off, it still has it affections based on a new test I made in COD.
@@DanielZH more people need to know about this for sure!

@@DanielZH Is it possible for you to show me a good setting control arrangement in MV3.tnx🙏
You need to do this on xbox pls
Yes, Still saving for tools that are needed to test Xbox, things work differently there and can't do the tests the same as PS5, but I'll probably start covering that before 2025!

Bro keep it simple
Always
We need a new vid
working on a huge one coming in a few days
@@DanielZH 🤝
Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts, I'll consider them for newer videos.
@@DanielZH Just another example, this video despite it being a 5 min video, i had to keep rewinding and going back trying to listening over and over again to even come close to understanding anything where i ended up taking 20+ mn to really understand anything. Theres a reason why tiktok is so popular, couple second videos talking simply and straight to the point. Not trying to explain multiple things at once while using graphs and other explanations all at the same time lmao

then adjust in the settings of the dualsense edge I adjust my dead zone according to the drift.
in my opinion, with 0 removes the information sent to the game server.
