I still fuckin love HU and always have since it started. Even as my musical taste changes and evolves, I still find myself coming back to listen to Swan Songs, the old EP, and random demos... it brings back the nostalgic feels of being in high school.
The new album is fantastic, btw.

In old interviews it seemed Johnny hated Deuce with all of his guts. I like in this interview he can actually talk about him like he's an old friend, which is what I wished they still were. Imagine where HU would be today if they had Shady Jeff, Deuce, and Danny all at once.

j3t is the nicest and most down to earth member, in my opinion. i waited after one of their concerts in nashville & he stayed to talk with me & my friend longer (and more in depth) than anyone else. he even gave me a hug for our picture together and it's still one of my favorite pics of me ever. everyone told me how happy and genuine my smile was in that photo. i had so much fun that night.
funny man went straight into the trailer after signing my friends shirt and getting a picture with her, but he wouldnt do anything with me (i still don't know why to this day - i was so in love with that band i would never do anything to put them off)

If it's direct or maybe they even make fake accounts 🤷. Bc I guess I've talked to CharlieS. too. Over something stupid. I guess I was wondering if 1 of my searches came up & he somehow knew :/. But he... Was like huh? I prob phrased it funny. There was this female crying & some other dude who was really hype to see them. I guess maybe a big fan bc they knew him by his name. So Idk. It's not like I have much to say anyway. I was w/ a older male friend. That's prob off putting. But legit he was just a friend. I don't steady chill w/ ppl who creep me out. Plus, he's just tall. So sometimes I like ppl around so other ppl don't f w/ me as much. I'm short af. My own kid's my height. But I think I was bugging him to hold this paper w/ their autographs. just so I could be annoying. Just to say syke. Something like that. & I think I caught da kurlz being humored off in the distance. When I didn't think he was watching me. I prob hugged the paper & winked & pointed at the paper too. Ok I did. But I was just being stupid. & Then I guess I caught another dude from some other band kinda hidden, behind buses, waving, smiling. I looked behind me & was like oh, I guess that's for me. I waved back. Have no clue what the other band was. Or if that dude was even in a band. But he looked like it.
It'd bug me some if I did meet celebrities I like, & they were straight up jerks. But I wouldn't really bother to take up their time either. I'm not really big on ass kissing. It's just ," can I have ur autograph. K thx."
I'd hafta feel more comfortable w/ them for me to keep talking ( so maybe on rare occasion if we knew ppl in common) or like where I knew they weren't in a rush & I wasn't taking up their time. 😔 I don't get celebrity fascination either.... But at least music world's an escape. At a nice comfortable distance. That doesn't go off on u & sh. Besides, if there's someone who literally follows ppl, or some person's crying, they're prob more worthy of their attention anyway. I'm not that triggered.

The hell? Deuce and J-Dog told the story of the name origin multiple times. I believe the song was name Hollywood, the band Undead (or maybe the other way), and their friend misinterpreted the band name as Hollywood Undead, so they kept it
They called the people "The Undead" as kids. So when It came around to coming up with a name, J-Dog and Deuce named it "The Undead." The Kids was orignally called "Hollywood." Deuce's neighbor read it wrong as "Hollywood Undead." So they stuck with "Hollywood Undead." Simple as that. v

I can't believe that they're on Loudwire now. Most of the time, I thought LW was focusing on bands that had formed around the time I was born and slightly after. Now, I realize through the eyes of sad nostalgia that these guys are in their 40's, and now, I'm fucking old as shit.

With such an opportunity to ask fact or fiction you could have asked way more questions, not ones that they've answered 1000 times like "where did they get their name from?" You SHOULD have asked if they jumped Deuce back in 2010, if Deuce wrote their lyrics for Swan Songs, if they've listened to any of his relatively new music, how many more albums they have left under their current contract, and much more. A lot of the mysteries from 2010 could have been discussed. This was a waste of a potentially golden interview.

Thats not the whole story to the name. The band was called Undead at first, and their first song was called Hollywood. J-Dog gave the demo CD of Undead- Hollywood to his neighbour, who thought the band was called Hollywood Undead by the way it was written on the CD. They liked that name and went with it, thus renaming the song from "Undead" to "The Kids"
