    Auto - self Phagy - eat. Velds eating itself = autophagy. This is incredibly important. We shouldn’t be stopping this process because it is healthy for us. Dr Livingood you give such simple explanation for us to understand. Eat cleaner and this will give our body healthy cells. Wow - we can be healthier in 6 mos

    I fast from after dinner till I get hungry in morning is that intermittent fasting. Like it’s 10:12 am and all I have had since last night is a bottle of water.. I’ll take medicine, shower and dress feed the animals then eat cause I get a headache if I don’t eat something

    One thing that didn't seem to make sense to me in the video is talking about how sugar is the thing that stops autophagy. Isn't autophagy all about cleaning up old proteins in your body. Protein seems like the first thing that would turn off autophagy, kinda like how sugar stops ketosis with insulin. If your body has new proteins to use, like the new lumber, then why would it break down and recycle old ones?

    • @DrLivingood
      @DrLivingood  3 місяці тому

      Autophagy is stopped when you put too much sugar into the body. Stress can also stop it. It's important to lower carbohydrates, focus on clean protein, and manage your stress levels. 🙂 - LGD Team

      To start out, we would recommend doing the 21 Day meal plan outlined in the workbook, it has 3 meals a day. If you want a greater challenge, you can do the advanced meal plan which implements more rotational fasting and two meals/day. -LGD Team

    does drinking the collagen+ in coffee or almond milk count as not eating?

    • @DrLivingood
      @DrLivingood  2 роки тому +3

      Hi there! It may be better to take it with water if you are intending on fasting. Depending on your specific health goals Livingood Daily Collagen can be taken during a fast for it only contains 52 calories, 2g carbs, and 0g sugar, so it will not spike insulin levels. I hope this helps! - Livingood Daily Team

    This sounds good... but for me to do the 18 hour thing or more is going to be maybe not even doable every day. I just turned 71 and I am an order picker. I walk up to 12 miles a day on my job. I've lost about 60 pounds in the last year and a half. I am on a whole food capsule regimen and have a shake for breakfast, sometimes adding a piece of toast. (From bread made without sugar). I need to snack a bit on my breaks, have a decent lunch, and a good meal when I get home. I can't figure what meal I can leave out and still make it through the day. Actually, it would require a meal and a break. Thoughts?
