@@Ava-oc1dg yes you are correct , there are many different variations to the recipe , it’s also based on preference as some persons like the cakey or crumby texture while some like the dense pudding texture . Even the fruits are different in some recipes , some use currants while some use prunes etc

Thanks you for showing me how to get the fruits mixer so fast for my christmas cake an not have to wait long for the fruits to soak this teaches now thanks you chef Salmons👍🇯🇲
The best one on here, I soak my fruits for a year usually but already used the batch when I got another the other vids stew it down with water my fruit already soaking in red label so this was helpful 👍🏾
After the fruits stew down, you said to let it cool before blending. But, you then said its been sitting there for 2 days. Did you mean 2hrs and not 2 days before blending??
Another great show! Can't wait for part 2💕
Thank you , coming real soon.

When I make mine I will definitely be eating tye fruits before blending 🤣
I almost eat off the cherry and raisins 🙈
So do you do the boiling instead of the week long soak (or more), or do you do both?
@@smellslikemachinespirit4255 I do the soak most times , I did this boil for demonstration
Great
Thank you , cake baking coming next . Stay tuned.
Also - when you store the fruits, do you refrigerate them, I assume?
Same question here
@emmabellasworld Im refrigerating mine for future reference
@@smellslikemachinespirit4255 no need to refrigerate, the alcohol preserve the fruits

My name is Sharon andrews I’m from New Jersey where are you guys located at?
Hi Sharon, New Jersey
Hello! I'm new to your channel and wanted to know if you make rice and peas. Or black beans and rice.
Hi Sylvia, thank you for subscribing.
Yes we do , we will be adding a video shortly.
Do you measure the Rum
No , just make sure it is enough to allow the fruits to blend .
Every year I watch your video and bake my cake never soke my fruit
Nice, thank you for the support Suzzette ☺️
After the fruits stew down, you said to let it cool before blending. But, you then said its been sitting there for 2 days. Did you mean 2hrs and not 2 days before blending??
Vanessa you are right , it should be 2 hrs. You really just need to wait until it is cool before blending.
How much rum do you add?
Just enough when combined with the wine to cover the fruits . It will vary based on the amount of fruits used
Great video! Why let fruits cool for 2hours before blending?
It just need to be cooled , no specific timeframe 😊
What's the measurements of the fruits
For a 9 inch cake 1/2 lb raisins 1/4 lb cherries 1/4 lb prunes
Where is the name for all the ingredients?
Cherries, raisins, prunes, red label wine or fruit wine.. Dried orange peels .
