    all these different recipes are making me a little crazy. This will be my first fruitcake so I’m watching lots of vidoes

      @@Ava-oc1dg yes you are correct , there are many different variations to the recipe , it’s also based on preference as some persons like the cakey or crumby texture while some like the dense pudding texture . Even the fruits are different in some recipes , some use currants while some use prunes etc

    The best one on here, I soak my fruits for a year usually but already used the batch when I got another the other vids stew it down with water my fruit already soaking in red label so this was helpful 👍🏾

    So do you do the boiling instead of the week long soak (or more), or do you do both?

    After the fruits stew down, you said to let it cool before blending. But, you then said its been sitting there for 2 days. Did you mean 2hrs and not 2 days before blending??

      Vanessa you are right , it should be 2 hrs. You really just need to wait until it is cool before blending.

    How much rum do you add?

      Just enough when combined with the wine to cover the fruits . It will vary based on the amount of fruits used
