holy god it caused me physical pain. i have someone important to me who was born w the cord wrapped around their neck & that caused quite a few developmental issues for them, including a minor impediment similar to the one she fakes. they spent a lot of time in their early childhood attempting to hide these things that their brain did involuntarily & now they struggle to exist within themselves now as a 22 year old adult. it’s people like this girl that make it easy & “comedic” for people to thread the stigmatized narrative around disability & disabled lives.
TL;DR: vile & disgusting that she could do that when there are real people that *struggle* more than she could ever in reality.

I feel like people were starting to ask if she had some condition or disability because her attempted blaccent was so inconsistent and bad that she just ends up sounding kinda dazed and confused all the time, stumbling over her words constantly like she's struggling to speak (when she's really just struggling to keep up the act and quickly loses steam as the tiktok goes on).
And then seeing these comments she ditched the blaccent for a speech impediment she thought she could better sell.
And it kinda seems like a big part of it is to make money/get people to buy stuff for her. Seeing that whole Amazon wishlist thing and how thick she's making the fake speech impediment in those vids (especially the one where she's excited about the package she got, good lord- also the colorful bracelets and butterfly t-shirt make it seem like she's also trying to appear younger/more childish to add to the act). If that's the case it's extra fucked up, trying to financially benefit by getting people to believe she's disabled.
Though I could see it as just being a character she's putting on for 'comedic' purposes, leaning into people asking if she's disabled because she thinks it's funny, if that is the case, the amazon videos stand out as being very odd. If she's just doing it for people to laugh at why is she also asking them for stuff in the process?
    Either way, super messed up.

I have autism and was born with a cleft palate, so my speech was a subject of mockery for the majority of my life. I've improved a lot but I still have moments of muddled speech, words I stumble through, and the occasional weird change in my voice. The voice Britt was faking is similar to mine when I was a child (albeit with a different kind of lisp) and I still fall back into it sometimes when I'm very tired and I can't focus on talking. It's the stilted, semi-childlike voice of many mentally disabled people and I'm disappointed to see someone doing it for the laughs. I'm not surprised enough to be angry. I'm just disappointed.

That goes for dances black creators have made that white creators got clout for doing w giving no credit, songs that are all the the sudden cool to listen too but used to be ghetto, trendy styles, even our damn features. We been known bout black culture only being cool when white ppl do it.

when she uses that speech impediment, it just reminds me of how bullies think me and my sister talk.
we're both autistic, and we both have speech impediments.
hers is more severe than mine, because she was born basically deaf (like, she's not actually deaf, but when she was born, i can't remember what she had, but she has tubes in her ears, maybe the hole in her ears were too small, i dunno), and because she can't hear herself talk, she has a speech impediment.
my speech impediment is caused because my bottom jaw and upper lip are very short, which can make word formation difficult.
and we ending up in the same class, despite me being older than her, because i was held back, but because of that, we were always together, because our autism makes us very socially anxious.
and somehow, the bullies found out we're autistic, and would talk to us like that, because "you can only understand us if we talk like you" with one even saying we speak "ret*rd".
we were even called the "autist-twins" because people thought we were twins, because we do look alarmingly similar.
