This video kicks all kinds of ass. I watch it anytime work starts to suck. I am building a 79 black F250 with a 545 cube motor just because I love the sound of that thing wound out and haulin ass. Seth can drive just fine. I think that Chevy was suction stuck deep in the goo so the first pull had to break it. Pulling a 5K pound Blazer out of a tank trap takes big tires, cubic inches, and a heavy foot.
i fuckin love old fords like that my dads has a 1978 ford ranger with a 390 boreded 60 over in to a 402 with a crane cam and gt heads and headers thats all i know and its lifted 2 inches 4 inche body lift and i think 33 inche tires its pretty mean and loud with class packs and straight pipes

Bad ass. No reason no matter the brand we can't all appreciate kickassedness. I've owned Chevy, Ford and Mopar, but despite this is my most famous vehicle and I'm primarily a Ford guy; I'm still a fan of Chevy and even some Mopars.

Mine sounds like that because it had fully ported Dove heads, a hairy high lift cam, and 12:1 compression, among other things. That, with the 850 double pumper and full headers really got the air/fuel moving. An otherwise stock 460 with an ebok power package will never sound like this, regardless of your exhaust. I get asked all the time how guys can get their motor to sound like mine: my answer is always high compression and a serious cam(assuming free flowing heads/headers/intake etc)

Same here Ford and Mopar are the only ones that will hold together for me. The chevys always fly apart and don't have enough power to do the job.

My uncle had a 460 bored and all with cj heads on it running 110 or whatever higher octane he could get his hands on. it was in a bronco, the original big ones. He would leave it in high 2nd and go. He was popping the clutch one time to make it hop and snapped a 1 ton rear end.

yea man good point ol trucks were meant for work and not for low riding the have big block motors for a reason. and thats why i run a 77 ford f 250 highboy ranger with a big block 460

A Highboy is a F-250 4x4 produced from mid 1967 to early 1977...so yes, if it has round headlights its a hiboy
The lift is custom built, not sure on the exact hight but its more than a foot, and im thinking its like 16-a8 inches.

I helped a friend with his Fords build in Washington and its ended up being similar to mine except its a supercab. I understand you guys have more restrictive laws and there are not as many really big trucks up there. Good luck with your build, and its cool you can do this stuff with your dad...family is important.

what kinda lift and size tires on the ford??? i just got a 78 ranger 150 with 7" thinkin of bigger lift or just 38's and dana 60's. nice rig man
that engine was already built when my uncle bought it like 15 years ago....the heads hade cobra written in them, we took them to the machine shop and they tried to steal them from us by giving us different heads...lol..but we marked them before we took them....hey i also have a 70something 390 4spd but in mexico..lol..im looking for some headers,heads,intake manifold,cam, carburator,...what will be a good setup..thanks
mud boggers frequently relocate their radiators because in the traditional position they get clogged QUICK in deep mud, not to mention if you've got mud in your fans youre going to bend and break them to shit, so the fans in the back is to cool the re-mounted radiator, up high and in the back where its unlikely to get sucked down and clogged in all the mud.

I was still running just 44" Boggers in this vid. Rims are 16x12 which I still run with the new ag tires.
