I love your buddy's ford too. Is that a 1990? Nice truck. They made the frame flex like that on purpose. I had a 96, 302, it was a hoss. Love ford trucks. I have a Chevy now, a 97 z71, and I love it too. I hate to say it but I'm a ford/Chevy guy. SCREW DODGE AND GMC. Had them too and they sucked. Yeah I know most gmcs and Chevys are about the same... Great videos. Still watching after all these centuries! S
Evidently Ford's in Alaska don't run as good as they do where the hummity is high but at least he kept it real, most people wouldn't show the times they got stuck and I really admire that. I feel like if he had a true timing kit and well alot more HP and torque he would be good. That's the whole thing with a 4×4 you've got to be able to sling the mud out of the tires for it to grab and that's where RPM's make the difference. What it really all boils down to is how much you want to spend and do power can be costly and I don't mean getting it either, blow a transfer case or anything else in a good differential and you just spent your whole check 😂
Great video! Alaska is the best place for mudding off-road. I miss 4wheeling up there. I spent 3yrs in Fairbanks...some of the best wheeling(snow and mud)
That's hilarious. I can't believe you took a truck down ski hill! I remember the mountain bike days and breaking arms!! I especially like the airplane at the end. What a great touch.
@hendo337 Yeah, I have the carb and intake..The moter is pretty tired tho, it only runs with 10 PSI oil pressure..I am ready to soup it up. I ve never broked a rear driveline. need to put that on my list of accomplishments =)
How is it driving a carbed engine in the Alaskan winter? I've been looking into moving up there for a while once I finish my 78 but I've heard the carbs don't get along real well with the winter there. It's fine here in Minnesota winters though.
thanks, yeah mines body isn't to bad either, i just picked it up about a week or two ago. I plan on fixing up the body over spring and summer, right now i am working on the little things and soon, the steering, gunna wait for it to get a little warmer for body work though, ha. I just finnished my exhaust but found a leak at the headers . . . guess i'll have to yank them off and put on new gaskets. Can't wait to see some vids of your rig.

Sick lineup!! 💪🏼🔥 When I went to Alaska years back I was thinking it was going to be a rock crawling paradise (which I know some areas got it), but it’s definitely relentless trailing with muds and marshes. Love it!
