What is difference between the AVH X4800BS and the AVH X4700BS

Thank you for this video. I had the 4700 and loved it, but nothing but issues when it was cold. Alot of people had the same issue, but I ended up selling it and am looking to get something similar and wondered what the difference with the 4800 was. Nobody has any different specs listed, but you guys told me what I need to know!

I have a video on my channel "Pioneer AVH-X4700BS Problem! Wont Work When Cold!" if you want to see what they do. Its unfortunate, I thought it was just the 4700 model, but comments on my video are telling me its many other models in the AVH lineup. I just bought the 4800, now i'm worried its going to have the same issue.

I installed one of that AVH- X4800BS in my 08 VW Rabbit. It's great but my FM reception is not as good as the original one and I completely lost AM. Any thoughts?
does the 4700 wire harness plug into the 4800, and 5800?

I had an older pioneer that had nice Pandora control. I could hit the Pandora button on the radio and my phone would start Pandora in paired mode without me having to do anything to my phone. I could literally leave it in my pocket the whole drive. Does this one works the same?

I see you have a falcons shirt on (My team!) Are you in Atlanta? When in Network mode does can you turn off the LPF for the sub? Last years 2700bs didnt have this feature and it makes it more difficult to get the subwoofer crossover frequency dialed in.

I recently purchased the 4800bs stereo and i am having a strange issue. I also noticed while you guys were showing it off that your radio appeared to have the same issue..... The bluetooth menu is greyed out on the 4800. Do you guys by any chance know what the cause of that could be? Ive been pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.
In the demo we do not have a phone paired, that is why it is grayed out. If you are having trouble pairing your phone or grayed out menus, what did you connect the lt green break wire to? Check out this video and see if it helps

In many other videos for App Radio on the AVH-X4600BS, many people mentioned having to buy a "CD-IV203" Kit in order to go from USB to VGA, then VGA and Lightning to a single Lightening that then plugs into the phone for 5/5s/5c etc. Is this necessary on the AVH-X4700BS and AVH-X4800BS models? or not necessary at all? My main concern is the ability to use Waze from my iPhone 5s.
The 4700 or 700 series radios use a new OS that let you just use the USB input only. There is a new app call App Radio live that you use on these radios. As of right now it does not support the use of Waze on these radios. The only radio currently is the 4100nex over the HDMI.
so I just watched the avh5700 vs 5800 and then this video. and both video is literally almost identical. and what's the difference from the avh4800bs vs the 5800bhs?
sergio hernandez yes the are very, very similar. The are 2 differences, the 5800 has HD radio and the option to add a front facing camera. That is it.
the 4700 support SYNC in my Lincoln MKX but the 4800 does not. I'm just going by the two boxes in your video. is that accurate. I hope not BC I just order the 150.00 cable interfaces for SYNC steering wheel control and HTC surround sound with Nav to install the 4800bs I really don't care if Voice SYNC does not work and I know the navigation is not going to work but I hope the set up I got still will work for everything else like the car Bluetooth, mic, XM radio and all my factory's amp/sub/speakers
Ramon Martinez no the 4800 does not support iDatalink maestro like the 4700. If that is what you order it will not work.
can i replsce the face of the 4800 with a 4700 cuze mine broke and friend has a good faceplste

Hello I have a galaxy s7 using the Navigation on the appradio app makes the picture pixelated. So it's a scrambled picture using Navimi and waze. I have a avh - x4800bs, is there a way to get the navigation to show?

I bought the X4800 2 weeks ago and I'm thinking of returning it because I just can't seem to get any video kind of video file to work either by usb thumb drive or port Hard Drive. Yes thumb drive video has been a big pain for everyone. Check out the videos on the iSimple Medialinx, it is not perfect but it may give you another idea.

The only difference is front camera option and HD radio, that is it the rest is the same. If you want major upgrade check into the AVH 4200 NEX.
