Is there a way to use this as an e-reader? If not I do see that there is a developer portal for making apps on their website since you can potentially use the ring to turn pages and stuff and it seems more convenient than having to hold a kindle or something while reading.
The position of the viewing area is fixed in one place and is a 25 degree field of view in the lower portion of your vision. While you can watch videos on the glasses, I'd prefer using XREAL Air 2 or Viture One over these for that purpose. These are great for navigation, subtitling, translation and AI features though.
Different use cases for me. These don't require a wired tether and have a smaller field of view. Much more viewable outdoors. But these aren't really display glasses. Viture or XREAL give you a much wider and better picture quality viewing experience but these have good heads up display and audio prompts. I haven't done much with the camera but it seems decent as well.
I am not able to watch using the UA-cam application but I can pull up UA-cam using Microsoft Edge and watch content that way. Honestly, if you are looking for a display to watch content though, I would look at something like the XREAL Air 2, Viture One, Rokid Air, TCL RayNeo Air 2, etc.

If possible, could you be able to show videos running on the device? I'm seriously considering getting these X2 glasses...only if it allows me to watch media or stream them from my phone. Also, because they are wireless and more discrete than the 'bird bath' glasses on the market.
I had a conversation in a bar with a old man from Chile. Didn't understand a word of english. I gave him one of my Google Pixel Earbuds and we sat and talked back and forth for a while. Was pretty cool. Just wish these things were offline and without cameras gathering everyone's data.

what about connecting to a PC? I've been working as a programmer for the last 3 years, first using rokid air 2 and now rokid max, I'm thinking of switching to the rayneo x2 option? Or should I not look in this direction for now and only as a replacement for a phone?
@@dwaynemcpherson5379 I haven't watched a full movie on them but certain applications have come up with heat warning/overheat messages just in general.

I used a program called Vysor to broadcast the screen to my PC and then recorded that output.

I am interested to use a teleprompter app with X2. Have you any suggestion?
I haven't tried a teleprompter yet but will definitely dive in to those soon as they could be very helpful.

I had no idea that Pixel Buds could do translation. That's a cool "Babel Fish" style function.

These would not be good for connecting to a PC or mirroring a screen image.

XRAI Glass, a third party translation application that is compatible with the RayNeo X2 does support Vietnamese if that helps.

can you side load plex as an apk?
Plex does not currently work as an apk but I've gotten it working by opening the Plex website on Microsoft Edge sideloaded on the glasses.
