I love seeing you do a dark, warm modern home, Deli! Your more typical crisp white and pastels is nice but this is so earthy and grounded and despite being huge it doesn’t feel too clinical or cold like a dark industrial space would. And it feels like you even used more patterned textures and prints here as well! A major departure from your typical style but you did it so well and naturally!
wow I know you've been in a build streak but this build is out of this world. It's absolutely amazing, classy and chic. It also screams DELIGRACY, i think if someone asked me to show them a build of yours this would be it. Absolute perfection, i'm so excited to see all your creations this year. THIS IS THE DELI YEAR, SIMS TEAM ITS TIME TO LET DELI MAKE A KIT
I would love to see a series of Deli renovating almost all of the apartments. All of them might be too much, but it's a change from the house renovations.
I really hate this apartment on the game! It’s so massive it’s hard to configure any kind of useful floor plan, and any time I play it my sims take forever to get from the top floor down. You did a great job on it! ❤
Yep, our giant open concept living rooms had them. They even put them in the floor of the office at work so we could get power do those working in the middle of the room. They’re just metal panels that have little cap things you can screw in to make it completely flat if you’re not using them
LOVEE THIS! I feel like everyone sticks to the same small apartments over and over for reno, but the big apartments don't get as much love. I would love to see you do the other larger apartments too!
My sims family of 8 currently live in this lot! I have living area and kitchen on middle and then the top floor is the bedrooms for the parents and 2 youngest’s rooms, with the older kids down in the bottom floor. Something i didnt know was so fun to play with until recently is playing with blended families, I love my child sims having step siblings and stuff its just more fun and the family tree looks cool
The formal living room and office looks so luxurious yet cozy. I really want that office. The dark browns make me feel warm and fuzzy even though I normally don’t go for dark colors.
Yes! I do love the luxurious and earthy feel of dark browns. I think I Like them when I stay at a hotel or visit someone but need lighter colours in my own home. There’s a very cosy feeling
I’ve really been enjoying curseforge. I love that you can easily see what your cc is that makes it easier to delete things that maybe you don’t love as much as you thought you would in game or finding cc that didn’t work to delete. SO easy. Plus it automatically updates lots of cc like the mc command mod that I need to update all the time.
I find those really big apartments extremely hard to deal with so I really enjoy videos renovation videos for them as inspiration how to handle all that space. 💞
Everytime I see this apartment in my game I think : I really should renovate this….. but then I see 3 floors and get scared 😂😂😂 You are braver then most Deli, you did an amazing job with this build💖
I have done the Spire apartments reno as well.. love what I did with it.. basically kept the over all theme, but changed the bathrooms and the master bed room has a walk in closet.. the basement I put a full bar next to the stairs which go down along with a small extra kitchen there, but the pool is still where that is, the bath room is still where the bathroom is, and I put at the far end some workout machines and in the other small room I made a laundry room.. its highly functional.. function means the most to me when doing builds.. so I got a full bar, small kitchen, full pool, worked machines, full bath and a full laundry room in the basement.. I might go upload mine to the gallery.. often when I do these apartment builds, I like to break open the walls to make each floor one full room, and then allow for closing up the rooms after its been placed.. otherwise you would have to place each individual room..
I was online when the Gallery notifications came in from you posting this apartment, so I knew a video must have been on the way. I just finished redoing this apartment too and it took so long, and that was with me not giving too much thought to the furnishings. I started getting burned out and just put down stuff after redoing the floor plan; I'll refine it over time. It's nice to see it done a different way!
I’m excited for this - I think this is the first video I’ve found actually renovating this one! I haven’t played with this one yet because it’s so big and expensive.
Love this apartment! I went to school for interior design/architecture. There is a electrical outlit in the floor to power those lamps on the table. I always thought of that as a "you have made it" feature.
Deli - regarding your comment on the outlets for lamps behind couches nowhere near walls, they are in the floor. My mom has a setup with a table and a lamp behind a couch and when they built the house, they put the outlets in there. A lot of new American builds here have floating floor outlets in spaces designed for furniture :)
one of my favorite details in the game is how you can see all the neighborhoods in san myshuno from the uptown area this apartment is in :) and you can also see the high rises in uptown from the smaller neighborhoods!
yes theres a power outlet on the floor in more expensive homes, usually has a brass plate on it to keep dust out, usually under the sofa. theres one under desks too to clean up cord clutter as well. this is typical in first floors of homes with a basement underneath. Though i have seen them under beds too so you can have a tv at the foot of the bed with no cords to trip on.
A lot of American homes (at least that I've seen) will have outlets on the floor in the middle of the room in order to power things like lamps on side tables or behind couches or electrical couches. Additionally, many newer console tables have outlets on them and the table itself plugs into the floor outlet. Another thing I've seen become more popular lately too is "smart lightbulbs" that are battery powered and connect to smart home devices (like Alexa). Modern homes have all kinds of fancy new things!
I love your renovation videos! Probably my faves :) I’d love to see you redo the massive 2 story penthouse with the basketball court in the middle of the apartment and a massive terrace. I think it’s in the fashion district. The space is so huge I find it hard to renovate!
I tried to download this penthouse but I´m sorry to say that I´ve noticed that there´s a room mising in the gallery, the master´s bedroom to be exact. And I would reeeeaaally like to know how did she make those stairs? I couldn´t do it on my own. Such a pity, I loved this build. You are so talented, thanks for sharing. Love your vids.
Beautiful ! Very stylish and classy. Love it. I always like to have a room for parties in a big home. With a dancefloor and a bar in 1 space. But this is beautiful. My sims would love to live there.
i would have loved to see some CC in this particular build, especially as the sponsor is for cc and mods :) Maybe you could use cc in the future again! Nevertheless, this build is gorgeous and your effort you put in there is really amazing! Thank you for always entertaining us!
Lol, I'm sure a person rich enough to own a mansion, outlet locations are the least of their concern, or at least should be. They can always afford to relocate or remove them.
I think it gives way more freedom! We have them under the couch and in the middle of the room so the lamps on the side tables don’t need ugly extension cords going half way across the room. It gives you more space to maneuver in the space with electrics. In newer houses now they have really nice covers too that blend into the floor so you can’t tell they’re there until you open them.
To answer your question about the console table behind the couch and the placement of lamps, the answer is yes. Typically more upscale buildings or homes will have outlets in the floor so that all of your couches do not require to be up against a wall so lamps have access to a wall socket. I am not sure if this is an "American" thing or not, but it allows more versatility in home design. Also, these table lamps usually have a lower wattage bulb, or at least a three-way adjustable lightbulb so the light is not too harsh or overbearing. BTW - love watching you build.
I don't think I'll ever feel mentally prepared enough to renovate this apartment lol. The thing about the lamps though, I just seen a tiktok last night where this woman was renovating a house and it had a socket on the floor in the living room where you would naturally put a sofa, specifically to put a lamp beside or behind it.
I'm so glad you mentioned about the more modern toilet roll! Why can't we have white and black swatches? And why can't the swatches be the same between the over and under roll T_T Also super excited to see CurseForge sponsering you! I downloaded it a couple days ago and I'm so obsessed with how easy it is to get CC into my game now.
@@NatalovesLilly Yup! Totally free. They have ads in the sidebar but they're non-invasive and you don't need to like, click on any ads to download your CC. I believe you can subscribe to them to get completely ad-free, but like I said, it's really not that much of a bother. I'd highly recommend it. It's both really easy to download to get it into your game and equally as easy to remove it too!
I'm so glad I found this! I just replaced that apartment with yours! Unfortunately I couldn't quite figure out the stairs and had to take out the powder room, but maybe I can find another spot for it, hmm.. great great great build! Tysm!
Furnishing looks amazing! This really makes me wish the Sims team would do a "refresh" to make apartments more customizable! I've never played in or built a luxury apartment but this looks like a lot of fun.
Outlets in the middle on the room (on the floor) are possible! My aunts house (in america) had multiple living rooms with these so the lamps on tables behind couches could be plugged in
The plugs for the lamps are on the floor ☺️ I just thought today I miss you CC builds! And Felix and Harrie did a baysic bathroom 😍😍😍 I love how you continue to use different itens! Makes me want to be more creative in my builds too
Hi Deli! I’m born and raised in Los Angeles and would like to answer your question about the lamps on console tables in the middle of rooms without obvious wiring 😊 it’s common for fancy large rooms to have a socket in the floor in the middle of the room. A rug usually hides it and they run an extension chord to whatever needs power, like powered couches as well 😊 PS love your content!💖💖
Wow You really ARE on a roll! Gorgeous, I was so proud of my reno of this apartment but this is much better LOL! You're on a double roll even (the toilet rolls) 😘
I actually started renovating this apt in August but got burnt out and forgot about it but now youve givin me the spark to finish it. I think ill make a vid too.
We definitely have outlets in the floor which are very handy for things like the credenza to have lights on it and give the illusion like it’s being powered automatically or the credenza comes with a power source
Deligracy, they just "stage" it. They more than likely don't keep lamps there as floor outlets used to be a thing but are no longer put in as its a safety hazard. You could use am extension cord and run it down and along items to a wall outlet but you could end up making a trip hazard. Just depends on where this is done. 16:15
Some houses, higher end ones, have electric sockets in the floor. Limits you on how you arrange your living room as I personally wouldn’t want the sockets super visible 🤷🏻♀️
I suppose if you have enough money you can just hire someone to redo the flooring if you want to change the layout of the room so that the current outlet would become visible.
People really complain about lack of bars in your builds? That’s such an odd request. 😆 To be fair my gameplay involves mostly normal middle class homes that barely have room for my families 😂
Deli, love all the videoes! Keep em'up! Where I had my internship, we had our offices in the 20st and the 21st floor in the middle of Oslo, Norway. The best view ever! Since were I worked works with trains and stuff we also had some birdview down to the traintracks. And the building even had a roof top at the 27th floor! That view! Let me tell u, was unbelievable! I actually miss working there. But cause of covid we worked from home the last year of my internship.

I didn't know you could edit apartments!!!!! I love your biggest apartment but the question is how big is jamie
sometimes the outlets are on the floor
When she said "Well done you guys!" i felt so proud of myself and I was just watching without thinking anything lmao
Yass
IKR 😄 Feeling so involved 🥰
Anyone else noticed that Deli put in a second toilet roll for the shared bathroom? :'D
i noticed that too lol. i came into the comments to see if anyone else had noticed.
they are rich. they don't need to share toilet paper with their siblings like us peasants. xD
Modern = double
Hahaha I knew this would be top comment
We always need 2… I’m kidding I dunno why I did that 🤣

we need a deli build kit, it would be amazing. but honestly a kit wouldnt even be enough

i usually just make my sims spellcasters, teleportation makes life easy
What do you do when it's midnight and you can't sleep? Watch Deli of course!
Same here!🤣
yes
I usually just drink a warm glass of milk and watch asmr videos
This is exactly what I'm doing right now 😂 I have a big day tomorrow, and while I'm losing sleep, I'm gaining chill vibes and happiness 😊
In America, some houses actually have sockets built into the floor, more typically with wooden floors. So your pretty much right 😊
Yep, our giant open concept living rooms had them. They even put them in the floor of the office at work so we could get power do those working in the middle of the room. They’re just metal panels that have little cap things you can screw in to make it completely flat if you’re not using them

As a former realtor in the US. Yes, mansions have outlets in the floor. It's weird and also takes away a lot of interior design freedom
Lol, I'm sure a person rich enough to own a mansion, outlet locations are the least of their concern, or at least should be. They can always afford to relocate or remove them.
