You are welcome. This unit is more of a piggyback and not a tune also but works great for those who just wants something super simple.

I love mine installed gts on my hyundai n got dyno at 85 extra hp . Works great
"A" sensor was no joke!
It almost made me feel that the $400 my BMW dealership was going to charge me for installation was well worth it. That sensor alone took me 1hr, many expletives, and made me a believer :D
The key: USE LONG PICK TOOLS (do not go cheap like I did and get the short pick tools)

Waiting to see the dyno, I'm waiting on my G80 to get here in September. Would prefer to just have a tuner rather then a piggy back system but if there's no solution by the time I get the car I guess I'm gonna have to go with this option.
Wednesday the dyno drops. But I prefer a tune also but this definitely adds some power

Good vid and nice car. "Butt dyno" a fun way to test but I like to run before and after 60-130 Dragy testing to see what's what regarding actual results. Preferably on the same day/road/DA.

@@kigzman1745 hey yea got it installed. Small problem though. I’m 6mt and the clutch can’t even handle map 3 rn. So have to upgrade to fully feel it. I’m map 2 and it’s a nice bump for now.

Thanks. Yes it feels like the normal car until about 3.5k then you can start to feel the difference. For daily drives when I am just chillin, I use 3 or 5

Hey man, thank you for sharing this content. I seen in your recent videos you've dropped RC. Just wondering, as you look back on it now, would you have still gotten the RC if you could do it all over again? Any complaints you have about it near the end of having it installed? I appreciate any insight you can offer.
Most definitely would have gotten it. E is hard to get in my area so I would not be using JB4 to its full potential. Racechip is quick enough for most people

After driving around a bit, how do the shifts feel in automatic mode (in the race setting-7) when you put your foot up its ass? Still smooth, no wonky transmission behavior? Your pulls should be faster in automatic mode, lock it in gear, punch it then click the lever over to automatic… looking forward to it
The shifts feel great just like stock on level 3 shift setting. When the foot is to the floor and shifts feel to hit a little harder when at high speed.

Im.planning on getting the RC on a Halloween sale their having this week. $100 off the regular price. My question is....will it damage the engine in any way if i keep the settings at a 7 (the highest) at all times?
I kept mine at 7 all the time and had no issues

Love RaceChip but the app is a huge mistake for one reason, cars only let you connect one Bluetooth at time! Soon as I added RaceChip it bumped the phone used for music videos, then if a throttle response (pedal commader,pedal roar) that might cause another problem,physical devices that connect to each other are better until cars accept multiple Bluetooth devices
Really? I did not have that problem with mine. I also left mine on 7 most of the time
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the key tool here is the "PICK TOOL", right? Without it people are probably bound to break that locking tab trying to pry the connector out.
I'm heading to Harbor Freight this afternoon to get me a set of those pick tools ;)

@@WhatsyourForte Pick tools helped a little. Getting in that tight space was a MAJOR PITA!!! I swear, I had divine intervention on this one. I just squeezed my hand in there (after loosening that assembly that is in the way) and some how was able to hook both connectors with my fingers alone. That 'A' connector took me a good hour. I'm glad I didn't have the German engineer that design this layout next to me, because it would have turned ugly for him. :D
The car now runs amazing.
Question: So, what do you do with the issue with the TQ limiter and Sport+ ? Do you drive it in Eco mode? How do you launch it?

@@jlow4544 yeah they designed it for us not to mess with it. Glad you got it installed. You are fine to run the car on map 7 all of the time. That is what I have been doing with no issues.

Depends on your dealer really… I have seen guys have full tunes and get warranty work… the one good thing about this is that you can take it off. Some say the dealers can see it and others don’t. Dinan has pretty much the same thing. Just ask your dealer

No… a tune is always better than a piggyback. There are currently no tunes available at this time as the ECU is still locked.

Will it void the bmw warranty if you remove it before service at dealer?
When you say void your warranty, what do you mean… like if you run this and your engine blows up, if they find proof this caused it they will not cover it. Racechip covers 10k if damages are proven

I am not sure. Make sure the correct code was entered from the instructions. If so reach out to Racechip

Very good no issues. I daily map 5 and weekends I put it on map 7

Didn't hear you mention if this voids the warrantee. Maybe I missed it.
Anytime you increase speed or power over the default BMW specs you run that risk. Really depends on your shop/dealer on how they feel about it. If they can prove that your mod caused the issue, it is voided.

Depends on your dealership. But any mod can potential void a warranty. If you sunroof stops working this would not void it

I have just heard that BMW are tough on tuners. So I was curious if you have had any motor, turbo, or fuel injector issues and if you think it’s worth putting it in ? Thanks!

The control module can easily be unplugged for that exact reason, Racechip has thought ahead.
