Nobody knows everything. You can work in a field your whole career and still learn something new everyday. Anybody that pretends they know everything are doing just that, pretending. Gotta stay humble in the trades because everyday is a new obstacle you have to figure out how to get around.
That young man is super smart taking a summer job with you rather than McDonald's. What he can learn doing this stuff is alot more valuable than most jobs.
Wow Darren is a nice young man he seems like he is keen to learn and not afraid of hard work which is very nice to see I hope he keeps up that work ethic not shy to ask questions as well . Very good video again Sir . Watching from the U.K.
There’s not many young people know a days how want to get their hands dirty all they want to do is sit in front of a computer all day it’s just nice to see someone who willing to work with their hands .
Why did you not keep the grass pieces you cut out to put the forms in to put back to finish the job . The customer would be much happier to have the same grass colour and type back in there and done instead of seed or roll grass .
You do nice work mike. Being as small as you are it`s nice to see you giving a young man a job where he can learn at a slow pace. low presure learning ...................lol
I too found the same nitch in my town. 2 years into my own operation and can not keep up. Made the turn from keeping busy to overbooked, had to scale back. I stick to smaller jobs, work alone, and provide excellent work. Never advertised a single day, word of mouth keeps me going. Love the grind, love the work Mike.
Hey Mike. Great videos! Im not sure if you've addressed this question before but im wondering if you knew how to do concrete work before working for Victory or did you learn all this whilst working for Victory?

Helper needs to think ahead to be better. He should be thinking your next move. Could have been drilling holes while you cut. He will get it. Seems like he is willing to learn. More knowledge more money. Right hand man is job security.
Welcome to the channel Jarron (sp???) - Hopefully we will see your progress for a long time. Mike will be able to teach you how to go far. Mike, we need help on the correct spelling for Jarren's (sp???) name
Mike, its a big ask perhaps but Id love a video explanation of costs and what you charged for a small job like that. Long time fan of victory and you, keep up the good work brother.
it will take a little time but some day were all going to be calling you Money Mike haha good job on the approach Jarrod is a good and hard worker and will learn alot from working with you Mike and will have a bright future ahead of him, keeping working Mike and i will keep watching, thumbs up today for Jarrod, Fred and Mike.
great video Mike also love that kids attitude I also love it when kids are faster than me plus you were like: know how that goes? he started out great then actually stopped and asked if he was doing it right (yrs ago I had a kid that looked just like him who came into Safeway i was showing him how to properly bag stuff one day while talking to my favorite customer and his little girl who was 3 yrs old (to her I was superman cuz I could bag her parents stuff and then say bye to them. well that day we were talking she was trying to show me something she made at school here he comes and starts bagging I'm like what are you doing? He's like relax I got this that's how I roll I'm like OK fine then whispered: you screw this up and your done...it was bad he put eggs and cans on top of the other stuff finally her dad was like hey look what you did to my eggs then he looked at me and started crying he goes he yelled at me I'm like well go get him new eggs and stuff oh and clean up the mess you made with the jug of milk he's like your going to help me I'm like ha no it's 3pm I'm going home lol we were gonna fire him but someone told me he called and told someone else over the phone they quit, kids don't think just because you had training for 3 days you know everything already we all have things to learn every day, yup even before you touched that I knew it was broken concrete in fact I watched Ryan's video of land he's trying to own he had most of the victory guys go check out the land it's huge man he's like: you guys wanna see back there im like yes he's like well it's a bunch of broken concrete it looked bad but now it looks great 👍
does jerren (excuse me if spelling is wrong) get paid more for being a youtube actor? i feel like being filmed and on youtube non stop isn’t a part of workin construction unless there’s a 💼 involved!!
I ran into your channel following outdoor victory and as someone who is 25 years old and about 4 years doing trades I couldn’t be any more proud of jarren 💪 I heard you mention in another video that he was 16 and honestly my only regret is not starting sooner. Not to bring race or my struggle into this but honestly working in trades opened my mind to the unlimited opportunities out there and the money to be made 💰 keep it pushing jarron if one trade don’t work another one might
Next to victory my second favorite channel is mikes! I watch Eric's also but I feel like his work isn't that good but that's just my opinion. For any young guy who wants to get into any construction trade always stay busy ask questions grow some tough skin because in construction sensitivity is not welcomed.
Bro ,ask Ryan how to lower the hitch on trailer faster,so you can show your helper. If you pull handle out forwards you then it will spin faster to lower it ask, ryan
There is a guy who has a UA-cam channel that has a New Cat loader that you would like to have. This one could fit into your pickup truck. I think that your better half would actually allow you to get it
Why not hose the film off the street you only had 4 hours to kill. You could have hosed right into the area you torn out and it would have seeped into the ground. Now the home owner gets to track it all over the drive way and neighborhood. Cleanliness is next to godliness.
Yes Mike. When I started all those little jobs add up quickly. And easier at the beginning to get your name out there. Word of mouth will happen. Enjoy the ride. LOL
Awesome job by Mike and Jared he’s just learning from you Mike you’re a good teacher you have a good working with you I can’t to See your next project awesome job
They might be small jobs Mike but you do good work, I see why your customers are happy. The ribbing you gave Jaren (hope I spelt that correctly) made me laugh because it reminded me of my friend Leroy, he has the same colour skin as Jaren, I made the same joke with him a few years ago and he made me sit in the sun with him for two hours, I was melting and he just kept laughing at me because I looked like a lobster. LOL Good times. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great work Mike and Jaren. Love it. Small jobs are always better then no jobs. The more you use that loaded the more I like it. Thanks for the video Mike keep grinding. And good morning Fred
Darren is a great addition..your own Big Ray. He has a great smile and is a natural in front of the camera...not nervous at all and a good looking young man! Don't be surprised if he adds a whole new demographic to your channel...high school girls!!!! 👩 😍
my wife and i love your show and you are smart to stay small, i had my own concrete and paving co for 40 years and i always stayed small, just like you said the other guys wanted the big work leaving the small work to the smaller guys, i made a very good living staying small, i had 6 employees at one time and thats as big as i got, now i have a request, IM NOT PICKING ON YOU but do you think you can make it through just one show without saying (IT IS WHAT IT IS)...one show you did a few weeks ago you must of said that 50 times, well maybe not 50 but it was a lot, now when we watch your show my wife and i wait to see how many times you say it, tonights show you said it twice, lets see if you can do JUST ONE show without saying it, we love everything about you mike especially the way you help other folks and the way you say good morning to your dog before you start work, keep up the good work and even if you say IT IS WHAT IT IS 10000000 times we'll still be devoted fans, God Bless you, mike and helen the mccabe paving co, street maryland
Hello I'll just want to tell you something when U are pulling the board till the board backwards instead of forward, I got 18 years of concrete experience, so u won't tear open the concrete if u do till the board backwards.
Very cool that you found your niche with these small jobs and love doing it. I do similar jobs where finding companies is really hard for small jobs. Nobody wants to do them in a shorter season like yours and mine (Minn). I had a feeling when you threw the felt in the open trailer it might not be there later. ;)
good to see a young lad with work ethic good on him
Hey mike you need to get an electric jackhammer now or invest in skid steer get job👍
Have you seen Eric's latest concrete work it's rubbish work mate its a shame I wonder what Ryan thinks about his rubbish work?
I'll take honest and teachable over someone that knows everything and can't be taught any day! He'll learn a lot from you! :D
Who knows everything? Don’t comment like this and not mention the name. Puuuuusssssiiiiiii
@@DrInsaneO huh? Eric?
@@DrInsaneO can he not be just talking in general?

Yess sir👌
Agreed. Wish I would've have done this when I was younger.
Mike used 100 times more rebar in that little spot than Erick used in his recent job.
Ryan should be referring any small jobs to Mike! Keep up the great work!!
How do you know he isnt?
If it works it’s not stupid! Jaren seems to be a good young helper. Has common sense and the will & want.
Mike used more rebar in this small job than Eric has in all of his videos
Typical trailer trash hating on a Mexican smh grow up
Facts
Why has eric not uploaded his video
@@Sa.d.bo26 utter embarrassment.
Eric should apply to be his second helper 🤠

University of Kentucky? 😂

You should teach Eric a thing or two. He's kind of half assing concrete jobs with no base material smh
No he isn’t. Who the hell are you to be trashing anyone? Go troll somewhere else.
Holy cow it’s crazy how all the guys from victory have their own similar spin off of Ryan’s main channel 😅
Jaren is going to be the man x10 when he gets back to school. He's going to do big things for sure.
Your videos are getting better and better. Very fun to watch. Nice to see you get a helper!
When Mike told his help that he needed to work on his tan damn near spit my coffee out 😂😂
The kid was so flabbergasted😂😂😂
And when he started talking about picking each others hair like monkeys 😂

Should of saw cut the joints to match the rest of the driveway. Then put the pieces of grass back you removed!

Great job...
Try keeping bottom of 2x4 cocked towards you when you rod wont pull as many rock and leave more sealed look...
I remember the long distance jobs when I first started my business. You do what you have to do.
Jaren is a cool dude!!! We need more of him in the video PLEASE!!!
Loving the videos and the amazing work Mike! love the personality you carry as well
This dude is alot better than Eric from speaking to his work
He don’t use fill dirt to build up a driveway 😂
Mike try unhooking the trailer before unloading your equipment it makes for mucho bueno content! 😂😂
😂😂😂 no thanks!
Mike is your tongue jack a 2 speed if you pull the handle back toward you when cranking ?
No it is not a 2 speed
Ryan is wondering...."why didn't Mike show this talent?"
Hey Mike. Great videos! Im not sure if you've addressed this question before but im wondering if you knew how to do concrete work before working for Victory or did you learn all this whilst working for Victory?
